Maybe
I will be porting my AOSP Rom over to the sensation if and when they get the bootloader unlocked. I know I know HTC announced they are not locking the bootloaders no more but the sensation is still gonna be locked until either a dev unlocks it or htc unlocks it which I hope both happen
I'll be keeping a close eye on the sensation.
That said with the mt4g being updated by the great people here I could see myself with this phone for quite a while.
I'm not a gamer or power user so for me it would be for bigger screen and other liitle perks. The battery is a big issue for me.....its going to be a hog.

I hope the Glacier doesn't get abandoned by all our devs when the sensation comes. Im not ready to part with mine yet.

Groubal : Bring HTC Sense 3.0 to older HTC devices such as the Desire HD

Hi all,
Just to share with you a groubal : "Bring HTC Sense 3.0 to older HTC devices such as the Desire HD and others". If such a thing worked for the Desire (HTC changed his mind after the customer's call) , why not our DHD ?
So everyone, sign this groubal : http://www.groubal.com/bring-htc-sense-3-0-to-older-htc-devices-such-as-the-desire-hd-and-others/

Patience grasshopper and it will come.... alternatively just install one of the Sense 3.0 custom roms floating about
The best profit will be made by forcing people to buy new phones. Luckily we have custom ROMs!
Yeah, of course, I already have a custom Rom with Sense 3 (the great TB Fusion 3d by Seo), but it is just to remind HTC to not take his customers for pigeons Happily we have those customs roms, but here devs (thanks a lot) do HTC's job... And phone are expensive enough to ask for quality from HTC !

Had the same idea as you (18 hours earlier).

Great idea for a petition .
Nice, I didn't have seen sorry . But anyway the more we talk about it, the more we have a luck HTC hears us.

[Q] ICS Sense port?

I noticed that the Sensation now has a leaked alpha HTC ICS ROM with Sense. I know that other ROMs have in the past been ported between HTC devices. Is there any chance the Sensation ROM could get ported over?
Marseillesw was trying last I heard. If he is making progress, its going to be tough. There are no ICS Sense kernels for our device, and according to TDJ, "Good luck. Sense kernels are a b****."

let's hope once there's a new HTC device with sense and ICS, then that can be the source
better yet... does sense 4.0 with ICS sound good?

I was wondering the same thing. HTC pretties up stock "Vanilla" Andriod, but ICS looks pretty good as is. They'd have to bust out some serious magic to make me want it.

Yes but what I'm saying is there's already an HTC device with official Sense and ICS - it's not a final build but it's direct from HTC. So there is a source available.

HTC has been working hard to get its Ice Cream Sandwich upgrades ready, and we’re excited to announce that our first round of ICS upgrades will roll out by the end of March for the HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation 4G and HTC Sensation XE, followed soon there after by the HTC Sensation XL.
In addition, we can confirm Ice Cream Sandwich upgrades will be coming later this year to the HTC Rezound, HTC Vivid, HTC Amaze 4G, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO Design 4G, HTC Incredible S, HTC Desire S and HTC Desire HD. Stay tuned for more updates on Ice Cream Sandwich releases in the coming weeks.

Given that they'll eventually bring the Desire S and Desire HD to ICS... at that point you'd probably be able to make a fully functional ICS port. I may be wrong but doesn't one of those phones even have the exact same camera hardware as Glacier? That'd provide us with a driver.
Mind you I have already moved on to GNex land
Seems cool. But looks like all of the good MT4G devs are gone now since I had the phone couple months ago.

Yeah, my port was a pain in the ass since at the moment we don't have a working 3.0 kernel. However once the official is out for dhd, porting the rom and kernel libs will be much easier. One the bright side, keep ur eyes open in the dev thread the next few days...can't say much more lol
