[Q] Thinkpad Tablet Bluetooth address issues - Thinkpad Tablet General

Hey folks. I am running ICS 4.0.3 on a rooted TpT. I am trying to pair a PS3 sixaxis controller to my tablet. My local bluetooth address is displayed by sixaxis app as FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF. I cannot get the controller to pair to that address. Feeling this was the issue i used ES File Explorer app to view system/etc/bluetooth/bdaddr the address there is not FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF but is same format with numbers. Does anyone have an idea why it isnt coming up as it is displayed in the system file? Any help would be greatly appreciated. PS if you could tell im a tech dummy so simple terms who be great. Thanks in advance.

anyone know if this will help?

Resco explorer will certainly let you do this as will Total Commander. Novii remote is a pretty good IR controller software.
As far as tips etc there are about 10000 of them. Check out the WIKI and search for the threads there are dozens of them.
cheers will do.
also, does anyone know if its possible to change the bluetooth software to enable me to send files over bluetooth?
the native (comes with it) software will enable you to send file over bt. just use the 'beam file', it will let you select bluetooth to send file.
ahh cheers i also misread the first post, the guy sugested some there too... ok so i solved the problem with b/t with u guys help, cheers. now to find a remote software that actually works with this model, any1 out there who has sucessfully used any software and what sort of distance did you get from it?

[Q] Looking for Droid 2 tun.ko

Anyone know where I can find a tun.ko for the Droid 2? Trying to set up VPN Connections for a colleague to connect to a Cisco VPN. I have it working on my X. Is a different tun file needed or would the same one work?
Thanks.
I'm relatively new to the whole android thing (as the droid 2 is my first droid phone), but my understanding is that because moto hasn't released the source yet, it is impossible to compile a tun.ko. The tun.ko for the droidx won't work because it is a different version of the kernel than the 2 is running (.29 vs .32, I think).
I've been looking for this as well, as I'm unable to connect to my work vpn over 3g (but works fine onw ifi), which is really the only thing that is making me miss my iphone at this point. Hopefully once moto releases the source, we'll get a tun.ko that will let us use the aftermarket vpn solution (rooted, of course).

I know this is an old thread, but I figured I would reply and say that I was able to get the one posted on this forum:
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/motorola-milestone/79613-looking-tun-ko-motorola-milestone.html
working. Here is the direct link:
http://www.saturnwiki.net/droid_tun_driver/2.6.32.9/tun_alt.ko
This works for my kernel 2.6.32.9-g462500f.
Hope this helps someone.
Outstanding - I've been searching high and low for this info. However, what I don't know is how/where to load the file. I have a rooted Droid 2 running ApeX 1.0.2.5, so presumably, all I should need to do is get this tun.ko object dropped in the right place, set up openvpn.conf properly and it'll work. I'm not sure where to drop it though. Any hints?

I got the tun.ko from this location, and I am having the same problem that the person on droidforums was having - I can make a connection, but I am not getting a DHCP address from my server.
Did you have this problem at all? I can't figure out if the tun.ko file isn't compatible, or if my configuration is wrong. (And I tested my configuration on a Windows machine - it works fine).

Twonky. They have an Android Application and a Desktop Server Client.
You'll need Wi-Fi to make it work though.

perfect thanks ill check it out.
ohm that seems to just be used for streaming music,video, and pictures....what i need to do is show my android screen up on to a projected screen and show people how to do things on the phone. Kind of like what they do at Google IO when they give live demo's from the phone and the phones screen is projected up onto the large screen so everyone can see it.
check this out...
never tried it.. but it might be what you are looking for

[Q] Use phone as external RFID/NFC reader to PC

Hello all,
I wonder, is it possible to connect your phone to the PC and use the phone as an external RFID reader? (Preferably with unix support)
The phone does not need to be usable meanwhile.
Thank you in advance
(I have a Galaxy S3)

i think its not possible, because doesnt exist an nfc client for pc...
Certainly it's possible.
You need to write an app to handle the intent.
It would have an intent filter in it.
Code:
<intent-filter>
<action android:name="android.nfc.action.DISCOVERED" />
</intent-filter>
You open a server socket to handle connections.
On the desktop side, you write an app to open a connection and do something with the data when it comes in.
Thank you for your answer. But do you know if there already are any finished solutions for this? Since I'm no developer.
I would hand you an app on a plate, but my cheesy phone doesn't do NFC.

I can't give you link because I'm a new user here, but search the play store for "NFC Relay"
It creates a server on your phone - connect to that server from your PC and you will have a console interface where you can send and receive commands.

HID Proximity
Maybe someone on this thread can help me? I have been looking for an app (that a co-worker of mine HAS on his phone!) that will let me scan my HID Proximity badge for work to let my phone let me into the building. I know it's possible because he showed me him scanning his watch and *CLICK* the door opens. CRAZY! I WANT IT! lol He directed me towards this website, and I can't find squat.. Not sure if he's some crazy hacker extraordinaire, but I trust him enough that XDA is definitely where he got it. Can anyone help me?
THANK YOU!
