Hey guys. My nexus 4 was playing HD YouTube vids just fine like one week ago and now whenever I try to play any video in HD it says touch here to retry. As soon as I tick the HD icon off again the video starts playing. I tried uninstalling all updates to the YouTube app but it still refuses to work.
BTW I'm on stock no custom ROM so it shouldn't be an issue.

Update & Clear cache / data
No luck I tried that and I uninstalled updates then tried again. Then I reupdated the app and tried one more time and HD videos just refuse to work. Maybe I should just factory reset the phone?

I just tried and it works fine.
Have you tried deleting your user data for the Netflix app? Go to Settings->apps-> and delete the user data. You will have to re-enter your account info but that usually clears up any minor issues with apps.
If you are using custom roms, this might be cause by other issues though.

Mine does that too. I thought it may be an issue with forcing GPU rendering, but disabling that didn't fix it. I had the same issue back when I had a Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and it was just as annoying.

I've noticed recently that almost all embedded videos in webpages on chrome won't play. They just load forever. If I go to the YouTube app and find the same video it plays right away. I think vimeo is the same way. Anyone else have this problem?

Well perhaps I fixed it. Clearing cache and data in settings--> apps seemed to do the trick for anyone else with the issue.

The stock YouTube app just upgraded and whenever I watch a video I get a white square in middle of my N4 screen. Cant figure out how to remove it, probably something simple.
Anyone know how?

Do u have chromecast or TV that is connecting to WiFi? When that icons appears that means its streaming on the TV.

I know this is offtopic, but aside from the Connect TV feature, I've completely switched to Viral now.
