YES, of course
Stock Samsung 4.1.1. It fast, smooth and all the hardware works unlike any of the third party ROMS
Can't beat it for stability or speed.
Or if you are really daring, get the Samsung 4.1.2 from KIES

Yes stock, now that JB 4.1.1 update has arrived. I actually tried them all (Roms) here and all are very good. For now, I am running stock JB with KK-Boot kernel and SD swap script. All is smooth and working well!

I don't understand all the comment saying "the stock rom is very good and smooth" cyano is more smooth and don't contain all the soft from samsung that are horrible.

I got the tab two days ago, I love it! I updated it to 3.2, but there is one think that bother me, it is not that smooth and fast on homescreen. Will it solve with ICS?

I noticed that too. I've only had mine for about a week. I would suggest installing ADW Launcher for Tablet. That fixed the issue for me. Plus, its way more customizable.

Absolutely. ICS browser has a new way how to display and load webpages. Also beta of Chrome is already pretty fast...

So I just got mine yesterday and wanted an opinion. As I like the front facing camera for video chat I don't yet want to do CM 9.0 (I know ICS is awesome!). Which roms are the fastest running HC with and without TW? Which ones are you guys using?

Honestly they're all almost the same.
Although I would put the latest (non-ics) in this order:
1. Galaxy task 14 Slim/Fat
2. Overcome (latest)
3. CleanROM (HC 3.2 TW)
4. CleanROM Rewind (HC 3.1 AOSP)

So when the screen shuts off on Task 14 and I try turning it on it's all f*&ked up and when it updates to the newest market it just crashes on me. So I"m going to try a different rom.

So if I isn't the rom what is it? I would like to get task working to check it out. I'm not claiming to be a pro but is by far not the first device to send around the after market block.
Overcome is working well but the kernel it comes with is not overclockable or undervoltable. Are all 3.2 kernels compatible? Which ones would people recommend and with what settings? I know I'm being lazy here but I do appreciate the help.

hi guys whats up?

i want to ask you what the best rom now to samsung galaxy i 9000 //// and If you have any recommendations for lg p500 roms I would happy to take it....
That's up to your personal taste.
If you like a stable rom, try one based on gingerbread.
If you want to go with the trend,
try an ics-based rom.
What do you recommend?

He means that the era of Galaxy S GT-I9000 is OVER!
Now phones come with at least 1.2 GHZ dual core CPUS with more than 1GB amount of RAM meaning:
Better Multitasking
Faster Response
Latest Application support
Please notice:
Today, there is a big gamma of smartphones including android and windows phone devices and because of that some developers moved to other devices.
My advice:
If you want a fast and clean ROM go with stock 2.3.6 version.
Find one that suits your country and needs and install root or buy another phone.
Samsung caused a lot of frustration to many users for not including ICS support and that's why most developers focus on an ICS support and ICS ROMS are known to be buggy and glitchy (no offense meant to anyone).
I can't blame Samsung for not including an ICS port, it's true that ICS require more RAM

The ics ports are running very well on our galaxy, and if f***** ram-eating Touchwiz wouldn't be there, I'm sure Samsung would provide us with an official ics firmware.

But yet they deny any ICS port and even if it runs "well" it's glitchy.
For example: External SD doesn't work

Ext SD is only an issue on some ports for our galaxy, if you take all ics roms together, you get a very fast one with bugs only related to Google.

The best combination

I'm not sure what's going on here, but no matter what kernel and rom combination is attempted, nothing outperforms stock 2.3.4 with my device (doomkernel v14 works nicely too). From stock ics to cm9 all have some inexcusable lag. Like running Windows 7 on my Acer One.

ICS in general will never be smoother than gingerbread. You'll just have to put up with the inexcusable lag on ICS or stay with gingerbread.

[Q]Good custom rom for Samsung galaxy S4

I have a samsung galaxy S4 SGH-I337M(canadian version) and im looking for a good rom out there. I whant to have a rom that gives you alot features, that gives the best performance to this devices and runs really smooth. I whant a rom that gives you alot of option's to customize. Can someone give a list of rom's that fit what I whant ?
You might want to try Goldeneye. I like it. It is touchwiz so you get the features of stock but a very nice smooth rom. Just one suggestion. :good:

Sorry folks, all of the ROMs here are pretty good, it is really up to the user to determine which one works the best.
These threads get closed as users tend to make them arguments about one rom over another.
