I can't find the option to enable usb tethering. Is the functionality not available yet? I'm asking because I want to use reverse tether so I could use my laptop's internet connection via usb

Are you able to hook up the android g1/dream to a wii via usb and use your phone as a tether and connect to the internet or can you use an app for g1 and make it a wifi router so a wii can connect to the internet?
You try the wireless tether for root users app. It creates a wireless access point for other devices to connect to. Connecting to the Wii over USB is out of the question.
I have searched and found a lot of ways to teether my 3G connection to my desktop/laptop via USB or Bluetooth. Not what I need. Here's my perdiciment.
My USB wifi adapter is kaput. I would like to save some bucks and not have to buy another one.
So, I would like my Sprint TP2 to connect to my hotels wifi and then allow my laptop/desktop to connect to my TP2 via USB or Bluetooth and access the internet.
I thank you for your time in advance!
Greetings. I have a desktop PC with no WiFi. I am trying to use the Nexus 7 like a USB WiFi dongle for a temporary internet access. Does anyone know if this can be done? My N7 is stock, no root. But I'd be willing to root if necessary.
Thanks
Possible...
Not 100% sure on this, but if you get a micro USB to OTG adapter, and then a USB to Ethernet adapter, run a wireless hotspot, and change your settings to allow others to connect through that Wi-Fi connection.
Just an idea, give it a go.
Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but here I am anyway
I bought a secondhand ereader without wifi (boox c67ml). It runs android 4.2.2.
I was wondering if there is a way to add wifi to this device. Maybe an unused usb connection on the inside or through the usb port on the bottom in some way.
- Is it common for these cheap Chinese devices to have extra internal usb ports?
- Would connecting a dongle to the usb port internally screw up charging and data transfer? How could I avoid this?
- Would android recognize a simple usb dongle and enable wifi in settings? If not, I assume I can fix this if I build a custom rom?
Hi guys, I have an old Galaxy A40 and I like to share its wi-fi conecction ovet ethernet. I tried with an USB type-c Hub but I can't turn on the USB tethering option and the ethernet option in the menĂ¹ is only for input connection. It's a problem with some missing drivers or I need an ethernet-USBC adapter? (I use the HUB with my new OnePlus and it's ok but on OnePlus I have the Ethernet Tethering option that missing in the A40)
I'd like to share the connection with a router and I can't use USB ports because the router doesn't allow me to use a smartphone as input.
Hope someone can help me. Thanks.
