thanks a lot. i am a beginner on this ROM installing. i m still learning.

there are lot of things you can flash to your HD2, you can even dual boot from WP7.8 & Android, just keep on reading the threads & do a specific search on what you want to do.

ok thanks to everybody. i have already read a lot. and now i am using NexusHD2-JellyBean-4.1.2-CM10 V1.3a ( NativeSD )
4 GB EXT4 + 4 GB Fat32 (my sd card is Silicon-Power 8 GB Class 10)
everythings is alright for now.
thanks to everybody.

Tmobile Data when using Android

Im only getting data over wifi but not over Tmobile cell network.
Any clue on how to get around this? I would like to use both WM and Android data.
Thanks!

which android version are you running i had the same problem with the first one i tried n switched to froyo sense v.1 n its fine now
when posting questions like these you need to post what build ,
what winmo rom your running , and what radio rom your using
Here are my settings:
Device: Tmobile HTC HD2
ROM: 21.08.2010 ChuckyDroidROM 23132 ~ 2.10.1

There is a second version of mattc 1.6b. You need to download that. It has a different rootfs file that you will drop into the original Android folder you are currently running. Head back over to his thread and grab it. I had the same problem and it works like a champ.
You just swap in the new rootfs file and that's all.

Ok so I changed my ROM to Energy and updated my Radio to 2.12.50.02 (I couldnt find the different version of mattc Leo 1.6b referenced above).
Now my data as far as internet browsing works but..... it seems that none of the apps are working with data. Is it because they are android based apps trying to access the Tmobile network? I can access everything on Wifi but only the internet on Tmobile's cell network (no apps, email, etc...).
Thanks!

Its not a different version but a different rootfs file that you replace original one with.
Read carefully on mattc thread:
1.6b Download link: Fastest (scroll down for download link):http://www.androidmayhem.com/showthread.php?p=48#post48
Mirror: http://www.multiupload.com/UIC6WCQLYM
Download for RMNET (only use if you are having internet or hard freeze problems): http://www.multiupload.com/MOZ9UZKFJF

you have to download the RMNET zip file, extract the rootfs and replace the original one.
back in the day before the builds were better tmo users used to have to change their apn to wap.voicestream.com. Dunno, try that.
Yeah, I think the reason 1.6b works better is because it detects and sets up the APNs correctly automatically.
Manually inputting the correct APN settings would've worked too.
Thanks all, everything is working great now. I have been running for about 8h so far on android and all data and freezing issues seem to be solved.
I did 3 things but I'm pretty sure it was the last one that helped.
1. Changed my ROM from Chucky to Energy (Probably didnt make a difference)
2. Updated my Radio to 2.12.50.02_02 (May have helped)
3. Did as suggested above: "Download for RMNET (only use if you are having internet or hard freeze problems)" (I think this one did it for me)

I don't own HD2 myself, but I have put Android (different builds, always the same issue) on few of my mates phones (mostly T-mobile uk), and I have had the same issue as described - setting up the settings manually wouldn't help either. But every single time, after going online using wi-fi solved the problem - no applying any fixes or replacing files needed (its seems like it got all the necessary files/settings/fixes? through wifi). Unfortunately I can't do any more tests, because (as mentioned before) I don't own HD2 myself.
You guys should try it and let us know if it works for you.

Hey guys. Reviving this thread. Back in an old shubcraft build i was getting 2.7 mbps according to fcc test although it didnt feel like it. Now im getting 1.7 max. Do you guys know how to improve the speed?
I'm using a Miri rom optimized for Android, can't remember which one along with Shubcraft 1.5 ppp. Any ways to optimize the speed? Is there a best radio for tmo users?

HTC + FROYO + BP E400 = Won't Boot

I have had Froyo running on my HTC HD2 for a few weeks now without many problems.
I bought an Extended battery due to general poor battery life, unfortunately the phone boots to windows but when I try to boot into Froyo it starts up but then within about 5 seconds reboots back into windows again.
It seems to try to reset the SD card?
Put the original battery back in and all is fine.
Any thoughts are appreciated
Radio Version:
2.10.50.08_2
ROM Version:
Elegance MaxSense 1.0 Final WWE
[BUILD] [18.08.2010] [darkstone HD2Froyo V2.1] [kernel: darkstone 2.6.32.9 #36]
I know there's been some issues with EBs and some builds. The working builds mention support for EBs in the kernel, so look for those.

Search for michyprima r11 kernal. Replace the zimage and tun.ko and bcm*.ko in ur android build. U should then have support for extended battery's.
For ur android build you will need to use build_n once uv downloaded the files.

Is there any other nand ROm which has good support in extended battery?
Try this out [16.MAR][CWM] NexusHD2-Gingerbread V2.4 [Android2.3.3][Kernel: tytung_r7]
Supported the official HTC extended battery due to new tytung_r7 kernel.

No sense in this thread, little more detail would come in handy for the ones who are willing to help and experienced the same problem but as of now that post looks like junk
