You can back up the device, but I have not seen a way to back up individual files.

Yes. Just connect your phone to sync, open Zune and go to Settings (top right) and click it. Then you'll see "Windows libraries".
There you can see where your music is backed up (*usually* C:\Users\YOUR_USER_IS_HERE\My Music)
Then click Phone (left) and make sure it's selected first option "Sync options".
Then under "Music" make sure "All" is selected. Click ok
You should have all your music on the phone backed up in your selected location.

I dont recall activating KINOMA PLAYER to open or view my pics. I dont want to use that program because i cant assign a pic to the background. I used to be able to just open a pic and assign it to whatever i wanted and i could adjust the brightness etc, etc. Can someone please help!!!
i just uninstalled it
if you want to watch youtube videos on it download the youtube app by going to m.youtube.com you dont need that client
and everything else just goes through the default clients after its unintalled, videos play in WMP and pictures come up in that stock screen

I used Resco file explorer to solve this prob (I had the same thing happening). Open Resco file explorer, navigate to a pic file (usually .jpg), tap and hold, choose "open with" and then select the program you want. Check the box "always use this program" and you are set.

I am sure there is. You would have to edit the registry. However, I have no clue what key to edit, so cannot help you further. Sorry.
The new version allows you to choose which file associations you want - so the problem has been solved. Thanks Kinoma!

I was thanking them because the new version allows you to change associations. That's obviously a good thing and I'm glad they did it.
People complained and they listened, isn't that how it's supposed to
work?

I just did the same. I cant even get my video to play right. Anyone have any advise? Not looking to purchase this. Downloaded a FLV file that wont play and no audio. I'll stick with windows player....
Go into "Get Apps" and download "Advanced Settings." From there you can easily change your file associations.
Hi, I flash roms quite frequently and been using sashimi to lighten up the burden of re-installing my apps. The only thing left is how to backup my favorite contacts tab, registered stocks and the playlist of the music tab? If anyone knows how to do this please share, would appreciate it a lot.
Thanks.

Would also be interested in knowing how to save stock & music playlists.
I do know if you use sprite or spb backup and save PIM info it automatically saves the fav contacts. But to save stock and music favs you would need to do a full backup & restore which would defeat the purpose when changing roms
Whats your settings on Sashimi?
I only tried spb backup...but again, thats a total backup app
Anyone got any luck with these?
I haven't found the stock info yet, but the audio playlists are in
\Application Data\HTC\AudioManager_Eng\playlists\

Yeah sometimes it is the site and not the device. Some sites don't have it set up so mobile devices can veiw the image online, they make you download it. I know it is crappy but hey atleast you do get to veiw it. I will see if I can't help uou find a work around for it. This might help too. Go to the little arrow icon at the bottom right hand corner of the Opera browser and toch on it. A menu will come up touch on I think it says settings and check all the options there. I forget wich one it is but one of the options lets you choose to browse as a mobile device or PC. Check PC and see if that helps.

hi, t-mac.. that didnt help either. i did a hard reset to see if i could eliminate that problem, but that didnt work.
I know we can desactive notifications for all update in Android Market
But me I want desactive for only one, because I want keep my version and not new version... ;-)
Why ? Because I don't want nofications all days for one application where I don't want new version...
Any suggestions ????
I assume with desactive, you mean deactivate.
Try open market/ my apps, then settings right upper corner.
There is a "Notify about app updates" option, i guess you want to UNcheck it.

You could try backing it up with Titanium Backup, then uninstall through the Market and restore the backup? Should break the market link.
You can do this with Titanium Backup by pressing long on the app in the list.
In the appearing menu select Detach from Market... that's it.
TB just rocks so hard it's ridiculous; changed my times to reinstall after a flash to minutes instead of hours

I have the same problem with the app that didn't came through (ran out of money on my card). Now I can't purchase it and can't download it. I feel like I'm in purgatory. =)
Sadly I'll have to resort to shady sources for the app if google doesn't fix this mess soon.

What exactly did you do? Perhaps this is a Pro feature?
Have a look at the wiki (last paragraph): Titanium Backup Wiki - 7. Manage Applications
