I have Nexus 7 16GB model running on 4.2.1. I pirated the Rayman Jungle Run 2.0.2 apk and installed it. It started for the first time and all the files got downloaded. After that it showed the splash screen and immediately closed and returned me to the app drawer.
This keeps happening. I even tried re-installing and re-downloading the install files but I'm getting the same kind of response.

You pirated the app then wonder why it force closes. Pirating is not condoned on xda. This thread will be closed soon enough but to answer your question its because it was cracked and downloaded. I suggest buying the app if you want it to work

I don't wish to condone it either. FYI, I tried buying from Google Play, but in India, all the Debit cards issued from any bank, be it, MasterCard or Visa, are being declined by Google Play.
Hence, don't be judging.

There's no judgment. I'm only echoing the rules outlined by XDA. I also answered your question so if you know that pirating is wrong and you read the rules for XDA you shouldn't be surprised at my answer to your question

Pirated... aka Warez, is not allowed on XDA. Not even the discussion of it.
If your warez app doesn't work, well, this is what happens when you use that garbage.
1. Warez gets no support.
2. It's illegal
3. It could possibly contain "malware" and send your personal info to... who knows where.
Above all... it's like TOTALLY against XDA rules.

Sorry not trying to gripe or be rude but its ridiculous that there's this many threads about the same thing. they all relate to the same thing. just because one person posts about a kernel, doesn't mean another person has to post about the modem or the tar.

He's right, the posts about the OTA on EL30 just started this week. There WERE posts about EL30 being worked on in early January. I don't see the need to complain about a few OTA threads...besides, existing threads usually get way off track and keep rising to the top for topics not even related to the original title.

I am looking to see if someone have paid version of cdma ware. I have purchased a legit copy and my license is valid until version 3.7 . Owners of cdma wont send me updated version of software as they send link whenever they release new versions and the download link in those email is valid only for short period of time. I never bothered to download since i bought in August..since i never had need to use it.
I am not asking for a cracked version or pirated version, I am asking only legit copy of exe as I have my own valid license.

If it requires a license, why is the download link also limited? In my experience, if a license is required, either it can be entered into the shareware version (if one exists) to activate full functionality, or the full version can be downloaded but has no functionality until a valid license is supplied. This double-layered protection is unlikely, but even if it is true then he needs to talk to the company for a legitimate aquisition of the software (if he has already paid for it, then why would they refuse?)
I own a Wii, and can legally make backups of my games, but it is still illegal to download backups that I didn't make myself (even if I own the original disk). There are always ways to get a legitimate copy, but asking for someone else to provide a copy here is not one of those ways. Any illegitimate method of aquiring software equates to software piracy, aka warez

Email or contact the developer of the app and they will provide you a new link.
If you have the license then you need to contact them again or whatever you have to do.
As far as asking here, it is warez no matter how you look at it. Consider this a warning since I'm in a good mood today.
I remember a couple months back where Google blocked rooted phones and tablets from using Play content like movies. Still the case? I would love to root my new Nexus 7 but wouldn't want to lose that functionality.

I've rooted and have had no problems installing apps or books. Haven't tested the movies, but the following link says that Google has removed that restriction:

I rooted mine on day two of receiving it a month ago.I have had no issues with anything on the playstore.I have purchased tv shows,movies,music and all worked just fine.

I received my Nexus 7 yesterday and I was considering rooting/flashing with paranoidandroid and clemsyn's kernel. I was reading a few posts that mentioned that the Google Wallet is locked to the HWID of the device and not the Google account.
Can anyone confirm that the free stuff such as my Google Wallet 25$ credit, the Transformers movie, ebook and other goodies remain after I root/flash my device?
It's my first time with an android device and tablet so any help/tips would be appreciated!

What you do is, once you download the app from where ever you get it, install it, and go into the Market, it will be in there as Installed. Once you see that, click onto it in the Market, click the Uninstall button, and then once that is done, click the Purchase button, it should work after you purchase the item.
I hope you take a big virus, not a cracked app
