Sound search not working - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anybody else have issues with using Google's sound search widget? I don't know how this happened, it was fully working and one day it starts giving me "unfortunately, sound search has stopped" pop up messages in the middle of searches.
Could this be rom/kernel related? I'm using Minco and Franco's kernel.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

I had that problem too. I solved it by updating Google search.

Through play store? There weren't any updates, but I did try uninstalling and installing it again and the problem persists. Sure that's all you did to fix it?

Yes did a manual update in playstore.

It is not a problem with stock rom

Started getting this yesterday as well. Pops up every couple minutes.

I'm rooted with the K747 kernel. Stock rom.

I'm rooted with a stock image. This was even happening before the root.
it's an issue everyone is having... i'm sure samsung is aware. I'm shocked they sent it with this bug
I've had this issue, and it seems to have been completely fixed by clearing Internet app data.
Hasn't come back yet for me, and it's worth a try.
I had the same issue; seems to be something with syncing that causes the problem. I disabled Internet sync on all my accounts and the problem has gone away.

I had the same problem from day one. Unchecking the sync internet option for all my accounts worked for me as well.

Google Wallet Error

So I rooted and unlocked my bootloader, set up wallet and it worked perfect, had the "unsupported device" But we no thats no biggie. The I flirted around with some custom roms and couldn't get wallet set up. I keep getting "unexpected error trying to add card, try again later" So i went back to stock rooted and i get the same error now? Anyone else get this or know how to fix it? Thanks!
Delete the data. Restart and put your info in. I had this error, kept fiddling with it and it worked.

I called google wallet. They said they couldn't see anything wrong on their end. So I just kept resetting and trying. Then it worked lol

I'd hate to bring back an old post, (it isn't that old XD), but I got this problem after removing and old debit card and adding the new one. I have done everything, I cannot get it to work. It is happening on my Nexus 4 and my Nexus 7.:crying:

YouTube error PA

I'm using PA beta9 and I've been having issues signing into YouTube. I started having this issue on beta8. I tried re-installing gapps, reflash rom, clear app data, and uninstall and reinstall.
I will get "an error occurred" intermittently using the app (it trying to sign in) and when I try to sign in manually.
I was just curious if anyone else has this issue. I could not find any recent information on this problem.

Youtube working fine here...PA 9 with franco kernel.....just watched a couple of vids to make sure...
I can certainly watch videos but it refuses to sign in.
I'll keep an eye out to see if there's anything else I'm having issues with or if someone else has this problem.
Thanks for the reply, definitely something on my end.

Looks like in between PA versions a data wipe was needed. It works fine now. Thanks for letting me know it was an isolated incident.

Repeated notifications?

Since yesterday I get repeated notifications for the same thing. For example I'll get a Twitter or Facebook notification. I'll click it and take action in the app, the notification is now gone as normal. A few minutes later I'll get the same notification again! Was wondering if this had something to do with Google Services Framework update since I'm running stock rom and this problem just started yesterday. Very odd. Anyone else?

Nope. I'm getting them on Facebook too. Think its a Google Push Notification issue that's related to the Google Services Framework update. That's my guess.

I'm getting the same issues on my Nexus 7 too so it definitely appears to be a server issue and not device specific. Hopefully they fix it soon.

google now: frequent "no connection" error since i/o

Ever since the Google i/o update for google search I'm frequently experiencing a "no connection" bug with google now. The rest of the services works fine but Google Now can't connect to the internet. Rebooting fixes the issue but it reappears after some time. Am i the only one with that?
It happened to me once about a day ago, but that *might* have been because my internet was throwing a hissy-fit.
Out of curiosity, what was the Google i/o update?

They've added reminder settings and some new cards. Go to settings/cards to see what the new ones are
I'm having the same issue. Since the update, Google Now losses connection at least every other day until I turn off my WiFi/mobile data and turn it back on.
Assume a big fix week be on the cards (excuse the pun) but it's a pain in the meantime...
Same problem here.

Same here. Terrible bug for this kind of app. That updates based on time and location. Lol. Im having problem. Looked stupid when it didnt remind me to get light bulbs at dollar general when showing this off to my wife.... I said it reminded me. Ha

I had this problem show up randomly after a few months without issues. Wiping the Google search app data solved it for a day or two then it came back.
I finally solved the problem by simply wiping the Google search app data, then turning Google Now OFF then ON. 6 weeks without a problem so far.

Same here. Not sure when it started, but it seems to be ROM independent, I had it on PA, PACman, Smooth, and now on Vanilla Rootbox. All clean installs/full wipes. Drives me crazy.

This is happening with me too on my Nexus 7 with 4.3. Tried turning Flight Mode off and on but this didn't help. It appears to be intermittent and can go away without intervention.
