Vote for best 4.1.2 Stock Rom - Galaxy Note II General

hi
Today, Germany released 4.1.2 stock ROM.
I wonder what stock is prefrered by XDA members and if there is a real different between Stocks. Please notice the ROM size is not the same.
Which one do you trust more
Germany: N7100XXDLL7_N7100DBTDLL2_DBT.zip | 979.3 MB
or
France: N7100XXDLL7_N7100OXADLL4_XEF.zip | 1068.6 MB
From past experience with note 1 I found Germany DBT are introducing more features in there ROM and best stability
France was the first ROM with Exynos Abuse Patch
Both roms are N7100XXDLL7

they are same... just for different regions

Im using this currently, its T-Mobile Netherlands firmware with build date: October 7th
any thing noticeable new?
improvements, bugs, new features?
btw: Samfirmware said (via twitter) that it is for the european/international i9100
I'll wait for Intratech + non wipe.
Nope i dont notice any differences other then the weather widget, its bigger then in the XWKI8 firmware.

T-Mobile firmware are in the carrier firmware thread. You're better off using the XXKI4 firmware. It's a hell of a lot better.

[Q] When is the ICS update will be released ?

Hi, i returned my Razr and bought the NOTE for $500 unlocked brand new.
Anyways, it was 2.3.6 out of the box but whenever i check for update i find nothing and i am up to date. however, i have seen many people getting the ICS upgrade, why not me ?
and also can somone tell my my Note is from what country ?
i have this build :GINGERBREAD.UBKK2 and Model number GT-N7000 and baseband version s : N7000Ubkk1.
Thanks
for now just wait for the OTA update to arrive in your country.. keep checking for updates...
dont try to flash for now and stay on GB

possibly brazil ....if you do want ics just flash it...odin and the new open germany rom... i have 3 notes... (black) uae, (white) spain, and (pink) france... all are running open germany ics.. its a stock rom so its not going to take away your warranty... if you flash...just follow the directions and all will be fine... if youre unsure...ask before you flash...
if i flash it to the German ROM, will i be able to get OTA updates like i bought the phone NEW ? or i have to do everything manually ? and do i have to root my phone?
Bump ! please i need to know ASAP as i want to change the ROM of my Note...
I have heard on good authority that the new ICS will be launched tomorrow!!! However if it does not come out please check this post again for the latest updates. GOOD LUCK!!!

What kernel did your note come with?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA
I have the same exact thing like you, and kernel version its : [email protected] #2
They are selling the same Note in Bermuda with the same firmware GINGERBREAD.UBKK2 and Model number GT-N7000 and baseband version s : N7000Ubkk1 Kernel [email protected] #2
Just upgraded from my trusty old Galaxy s i9000 (which I must have flashed over a 100 times in the last two years!) Only had the note a few days, with a Ballistic case I can almost use it with one hand lol!
I miss my ICS rooted phone, I will wait for the official update at least until the warranty to expires. I jumped in and did a plain root last night though, at least the market is open.......
Kies reports as PDA:KK2 / PHONE:KK1 / CSC:KK2 (TTT)
so do you think my stock ROM is good or the EU one is better ?
I flashed Open Europe LC1 GB and then ICS LPY, but with the bricking issues, im back to LC1 safely.

My experience, two galaxy's GT9000T One I rooted and flashed modded bricked and basically kicked the crap out of it......still works great, I gave it to my youngest daughter. My other one was left untouched, Kies still updates all the official roms on it and it to still works great, but no ICS...
With this warning....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1633943
And having just forked out almost $700.00 bucks for a Note, (2 year contract) I think I can wait a little bit longer for the official release!
i am not going to flash to the ICS, i just want to know if my stock Brazil ROM is good or the EUROPE is good ?
Not much of a difference. Battery is about the same.

Made it yesterday. No Problems at all. Came from CM9, flashed Stock HC, wiped cache and made a factory reset 3x. Finally flashed UK 7510 Version. Works well, apart from touchwize
It should. Since any other P7510 ROM, official and custom, works on the P7511 this shouldn't be any different.
So the p7500 firmware should also work on my p7501?

I think this should work also, due to the fact that the editions 7501 and 7511 are just reworked because of patent issues. If i'm not failling here.
Another question i got atm, will it be necessary to flash the final german edition once it will be avaivable? I mean, for what reason are there different firmware versions for the countries, if there wont be some differences in there...
And second, is it wrong to flash the future german version over the now existing UK edition, without wipe. Or is this absolutely necessary?

I think one side effect will be that About tablet ---> Model number = 7510 Not 7511 like every custom rom.
Maybe the difference in firmwares is a Samsung thing to locate their tabs.
If you flashed the British rom and you got no problems I don't think it's necessary to flash the German one.
British accent way cooler than German

The differences are normally to do with the bundled software, if you take the release for the 7500 for example, there is extra software specific to Italy in the hidden.img post of the ROM, but none for the other parts of Europe.
Certainly, if they come out roughly the same time, it's unlikely they will have differences that affect performance or stability.
I won't be switching ROMs when they release the 7500 ROM in the UK as there really won't be any need.

I did it. I flashed the P7500 version via odin on my P7501. It works perfect. Even german language was activated on first boot, so I didn't need to switch.
So I think, if the uk version for p7510 is working on your P7511, there's no need to install a special german version.

Allright then, will keep my little bobby with the uk version until a stable jb rom is available. Performance is as i know it allready from ics, but without crashes and so on. And the accent sounds really royal to me.
I also flashed the british rom to my P7511 and after 3 hours everything works fine
It's strange to see Samsung has not made official p7511 firmware (not even in Kies software) and you all have reported the p7510 firmware has no problems at all.
Perhaps p7511 is too small to make a new firmware for it, and thus less interest for Samsung.
Somehow Samsung is a bit stupid... Do they hate p7511 because Apple lawsuit in Germany?
I just got p7511 here with 64GB storage. Will use British p7510 firmware.

Same Changelist?
I uploaded it but doesn't worth to keep it then.
Just flashed it yesterday and that new radio seems to fix silent calls and overall voice calls quality for Polish provider Play.
Installed yesterday, and seems more smooth than ever ... less memory used after the reboot (~ 43 mb ) ... this device is really amazing !
I really don t care 4.2.x if remains with this kind of performance
Installed since yesterday,no significant differences with DME1(TH) i used before.When android 4.2.2?
Updated this morning from MC3 (DBT) through Kies (lost root as usual and CF-Auto-Rooted and Triangle Awayed again). Haven't noticed any change so far apart apart from *maybe* (too soon to tell) lower battery drain.
Didn't have any real problem before which needed fixing anyway (aside from the small YouTube annoyance).
Which one should I update, me or mf ? I am on lk7 which is quite an old one

[Q] purchased N9005 from Amazon appears to be from Philipines

Hi All
I purchased a SM-N9005 from Amazon, for £400, on arrival it appears to be from Philipines, no region lock?, do i keep it and use it? could there be any problems? or should I return and get a UK varient? can I/should I re-flash with generic UK firmware? (I havent put the battery in it yet!)
it looks lovely, so excited... moving from a note 1

Curiously what happen if you change the time on the animation scale to 0.5? Any visual effect or to improve system performance?

I do this as it makes the screens transition faster, you can even turn off the animation scale if you wish. but i thought, since this is a powerful phone i would leave it on for a while

So I guess the bigger value will make a better visual effect, and also affect to overall system performance.

well - i moved the value on mine from 1.0 to 0.5 on all 3 transition options and it does transition faster, basically the higher the value the longer the transition takes..... try it! you cant damage anything, and you can always change it back.

could you possibly point me in the right direction to do this the HK stuff on the phone is starting to get annoying? if you flash a different firmware so you then get the OTA for that firmware?

I afraid that you cant get the OTA update after flashing a firmware from another region.
I think you have 2 choices:
1- root your phone and remove the bloatwares that annoying you.
2- flash appropriate firmware from another region. Ask other people that using HK phone to make sure which firmware you can safely flash.
As I don't want to root I decided to just use as is and have tried to install the updates available for hk, every time progress gets to 30 percent it fails. I've tried downloading the OTA over wifi, 3g, and installed kies. All Fall. Does this mean there is something wrong with the phone?
