[Q] How to transfer /data/data to sd ext? - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Duos 6102 Q&A, Help & Troubl

How to transfer data/data to sd-ext?
cause my internal memory is getting low. haha
any tried using directory bind? but i think it will not solve the problem, cause it only transfer from internal SD to external SD
how about titanium backup pro?
the data2sd feature " move app data to sd "
i tried it, i creat a folder "app" on /sd-ext, and tried move app data to SD, but it shows "not enough space on filesystem at: /sd-ext"
i have an ext4 partition on my SD card, i also have Link2SD, does it makes the conflict?

In links2sd just click on an app and tap create link

use link2sd

But it does not transfer all data of an app, for example the game dungeon & knight plus, it extracts an almost 70MB on /data/data it, Link2SD was not able transfer it to sd-ext

I'm in Merruk Kernel 2.0, it supports ext4 format. I have 2 partitions, FAT32 and ext4, and also i can use link to SD properly, all my apps are linked. I just want to transfer/link the data of the other remaining apps completely, but Link2SD can't do this, so i've searched the internet and found that TBP can do this, but this error comes out " not enough blah blah~"
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda premium

Because even though i use Link2SD there is still some apps that has its data on internal memory.
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda premium

Use a2sd++ by cronmod..
it will move data/app,data/data,data/dalvik-cache to your ext4..
I have installed a lot2 of apps..

Second partition for app2sd not working

I made a second partition using recovery... ext4 swap size 128mb... and I am using ics official rom... I used pimp my rom to make my ics official more stable and now currently my stock rom is fast and stable...
I need that second partition to be shown on app2sd so that I may install more apps... Any suggestions?
Link2sd is showing it... app2sd is not...
I am using xperia pro mk16i
You created two additional partitions ext4 and swap or only ext4?
I didn't know that stock kernel support ext4. I'm using ext2 on stock kernel (arc s, 587 fw).
What kernel are you using?

Don't know as I use stock kernel.
Check if there is /sd-ext folder in root. If kernel is done properly it should be there. (on stock I'm using script to create it after boot.)
Then use a2sd script. Script should move app and app-private to sd-ext partition and link it into data. I don't recommend moving dalvik cache. Script goes into /system/etc/init.d folder.
You can not use link2sd and a2sd at the same time!

Yes, second partition on your sd card is mapped as sd-ext.
It must be Linux ext type and primary so symbolic linking works.
I'm using ext2 as it's fastest and a2sd don't need journaling.

*remove stock rom
*put jellyblast v3.0.3(looks like jelly bean/ics) or wait
*install advanced task killer (kills unwanted backgroung apps running)
*put it to auto kill level crazy and kill when screen off(saves battery) and unselect apps like ur launcher, dsp manager, advanced task killer itself etc from kill list
*convert frequently used apps like ur launcher etc etc to system app using link to sd or system app replacer
* uninstall unwanted applications like social hub news and wether etc ( u can replace them with better apps) using link to sd
* caution do not uninstall apps whose use do do not know
*avoid using launchers which say ex
*avold live wallpappers
*when u use ur phone for a long time hold it in such a way that heat from battery can escape
* and oh hit thanks if i helped
all these are my personal openions and are usually what i do
Don't use task killers they are useless and end up making u use more battery in the process since the killed apps just come back (on gingerbread or higher) only to be killed again also if the app has to connect to the internet (apps like whatapp Facebook etc) its even worst since they get disconnected in a burst of power and reconnects in a burst of power and this keeps happening over over there are other problems I could point out but by now u see what I'm saying don't use them their a waste of time to gingerbread and over users

my suggestion, better not to link all apps with link2sd
go to manage apps, see if there's an app that more than 10mb and check whether that could be move to sd card or not.
sometimes, app that more than 10mb take less space if we move to sdcard natively, but take more internal if we move that using link2sd
hope you get what i mean

Install link2sd and use it to remove any system apps you don't need - be careful though removing required system apps could make your device non bootable - make a nandroid backup first
You can also use link2sd to create links to apps - this moves them to sd but the still act like they are on internal - this requires a 2nd ext partition on sd card - this can be created in cwm in the paration section but it will format your sd card so back it up first

If u don't have a nandroid backup in your phone go download Odin and your country's firmware Otto flash odin. Don't forget to download totoro_0623 file too. U can search it on the internet. Sorry I don't have the link otherwise I would upload it to help you restore your phone easier. If u want to go back to jellyblast flash the ROM again with adrenaline engine tweak or v6 supercharger to make it less lag. U can try entropy generator Seeder app too. Its free for xdain. U can find it with searching.

There is no link you create a nandroid backup of your own device in cwm under backup & restore
It backs up your phones system files & data (not user apps) so you can restore your phone to that states if flashing bricks your phone or you wish to revert
If you didn't create a nandroid backup you will have wipe data & re flash the rom & start again
actually no there is a thread here with nandroid backups lemme search I'll put a link in a while
