frigginmike,
I am sorry for the delay, I have been working on a custom ROM for the Kindle Fire HD and was out
the last two days with our development team. When you say trouble what do you mean exactly?
When you launch the app (open it) does it hang, close or give you a specific error? What I would
do is remove and reinstall the application, then pull down the upper bar where you see the time,
choose More+, the select Applications, then select Installed Applications, the scroll down until
you see Comcast. Click on Comcast and choose Clear Data. Now try to open it, any luck?

Not sure why you are unable to get them from the Amazon Appstore being from Brooklyn, but here you go anyway!
Hulu +
Netflix
Note: I'll leave the files up there for about a week before I erase them, so get 'em while you can!

Netflix was a direct upload of the apk via Dropbox, so it's the exact file that was on my system. MD5 checksum is confirmed.
Sorry it's not working. FWIW, I just tried Netflix on mine and it seems to be working fine, so not sure what is going on with your app.

I was having problems logging in to Netflix on both my Fire and my Android phone yesterday. It's working this morning, so give it another try. I guess they were having Android issues on the server side.

Does anyone have v1.6 that they could upload? I'm from the States but currently I'm working in Germany so it's being blocked in the market for me. I'm using a vpn, but still having no luck downloading it (works on my pc). I'm curious if I can get it working if I just had the app. Thanks

I am trying to get AppRedeem to work on my Kindle Fire. I am running CM7. I can download the app from the market but when I open the app it tells me that the app is not supported on my device. I was told that if I back up the app and its data on an Android phone then restore it on my Kindle Fire it will work. The problem is, I don't have access to an Android phone. I was hoping someone could take the time to back up the app on an Android phone with tutanium back up and send it to me or post it to mediafire or something similar. The app is free on the market so this is plenty legal. If anyone could help me out I will be sure to click thanks. You can shoot me a pm or post here. Thanks guys.

Since my Fire is not rooted, I installed the Drive app on my Droid-X phone and then created an apk file and transferred it to my Fire using Dropbox.
The Drive app installed ok on the Fire but when I try to run it, it says "Cannot find any Google accounts, exiting application" and then it quits. No way to get into the settings for the app.
I'm not sure how to get around this. I have my Gmail setup on the Fire. What other Google account would it be looking for?

Every time I try this I receive the error message "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server. This could be a temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call customer care."
using this on pc for a long time very good and helpful
when u want to backup ur apps pics or videos google drive is the best option with better privacy
Tried something different... I installed the framework, and then rebooted the fire. Then I installed the drive and it worked.

Within the last week I have been on vacation in Minnesota and my Dad has a Kindle Fire HD...after seeing how horrible the Amazon Homescreen is and all that can be done to help improve the device I decided to write an application that would help users perform general tasks on the Kindle Fire HD after rooting it that would make their experience better.
I have yet to test this on anything but the Kindle Fire HD. I know this will not work on the original Kindle Fire, but 2nd generation on up may be able to use this as well but I have not tested it as I don't have one of these devices.
I made two version, a free and a pro version. The free version will allow you to install a custom launcher and the Android market. Beyond that I'm asking for ~1.00 for the pro version (Well I get $1.00 anyways after Googles cut) to help development and buy me some StarBucks
Tip: long press on items to remove them from your device.
Here are the links to both in the Android market:
Pro - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stericson.KindleFree_License

Thanks Stephen. Excellent work. Might I suggest a couple of things?
1. An undo option for launchers and the miscellaneous stuff.
2. Reminder that if installing an alternate launcher, kindle books will no longer work.
3. A warning against updating any of the Amazon apps in google play store.
Just some ideas.

When you replace the launcher it breaks the kindle book app. You can install the play store version but you lose the built in book store. If you update the Kindle mobile app it breaks the Amazon store search. This is on the 8.9 BTW.

The Amazon Apps are designated for otter. Which I assume is the device codename. The play store versions don't cooperate with the fire framework.
Do not update amazon books, music, shop or it will mess up compatibility! my idea for update warning

Thanks for the comments guys, I made some updates and uploaded the new version.
I bought the paid version even though I didn't need it (pretty much have Google and Nova fully installed already), but I'm looking forward to more options.
Just a suggestion, but maybe you could add more Google apps to it, like Google+? The Play Store pretends that Google+ isn't compatible so it won't allow you to download it, but it side loads just fine. There's a lot of apps like that, unfortunately, so maybe a build prop edit shortcuts could also be added, like one to mimic a more universally accepted tablet and one to quickly return to Kindle Fire HD for stubborn apps. These would obviously be for the paid version.
Also for the paid version, maybe you could add the voice search framework and apps too.
There's a ton of potential for this app, thanks for putting it together!

Just google the googleplay.apk download it to the device and open it with a file manager,
I know people are always looking for apk files to sideload on their KF specially Google apps. I've started a page where I have posted those common files. I'm also willing to add more upon request. Just leave a comment on the blog post page. This is for free apps only and is not meant to get around paid apps in anyway. http://androidcowboy.com/android-apk-files-download/
This is awesome!

You probably don't have Google framework installed. Use KFU (Kindle fire utility) to do that. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399889 Questions welcome.
Thanks Cowboy - useful stuff
I use Android Drawer since it has mostly All Free Apps, that are essential for Android Users. Its got over 50,000+ apps, only free though, no warez. I use it all the time for sideloading when I am at Stock, and most are update as soon as updates roll up.
