That's your boot loader screen, not you BootLoader for your defy+. Your defy+ is BL7. So follow the instructions and download the files in the 'Status' section of my signature.
All of these files? I know what to do with the sbf file and 2ndinit
But what i have to do with the other?

Within the dropbox there should be:
A 'firmware' folder
A .png file
A firmware.zip
A firmware.z01
A .sbf file (DFP-231)
A 2nd-init .apk file <--- This is only if you want to flash a Custom ROM later on, don't worry about it now.
How to root:
Step 1: Download (From the dropbox folder) the *.zip, *.z01, *.sbf and the *.sbf inside the firmware folder
Step 2: Download and Install RSD Lite and Motorola Drivers for Windows
Step 3: Create a folder to put the files from Step 1 in. Create a folder and inside create two more folders called root and firmware. Put the DFP-231 file in the the 'root' folder and put the firmware.sbf and .z01 in the 'firmware' folder. Now keep the firmware.zip outside of the 'firmware' folder (so it isn't in either folder: 'root' or 'firmware').
Step 4: Charge your phone to 100%
Step 5: Once charged, boot your phone into recovery mode (Power+Volume Down button. When the Motorola logo appear keep holding down the Volume Down button. An android with an exclamation mark will appear, so press both Volume Keys at the same time.
Step 6: Navigate through the menu by pressing the volume keys and select options with the power key. Select 'Wipe data/factory' and 'Wipe cache'
Step 7: While its wiping, open RSD Lite as administrator.
Step 8: When it has finished wiping, select the 'Reboot Now' option and when the phone has turned off hold the Volume Up button (this will prevent your phone from booting up all the way again so you don't have to wait forever to shut it down and put it in its bootloader mode)

Step 9: Once in bootloader mode, connect your phone to your computer, and wait for it to be detected by RSD Lite
Step 10: Click on the '...' button and select the DFP-231*.sbf file inside the 'ROOT' folder.
Step 11: Click Start and be extremely patient, sit there for the whole 10 minutes to make sure your computer doesn't go to sleep. Don't touch the computer otherwise, don't launch any other programs in the background.
Step 12: Once it has finished flashing AND REBOOTING (Wait for RSD Lite to say 'Pass'), Place your phone back into bootloader moder (Power+Volume Up) and repeat Steps 10 and 11 but this time with the firmware.sbf file in the 'FIRMWARE' folder. Make sure the firmware.z01 is in the same folder as the firmware.sbf then start the flashing process.
Step 13: Again wait for RSD Lite to say 'Pass'.
Step 14: After flashing, unplug your phone from the computer, turn it off and put it into recovery mode. Once again select 'Wipe Data/Factory' and 'Wipe Cache'
Step 15: Reboot and enjoy! Once you are able to use your phone again, go into the applications menu and look for a new application called 'SuperUser'
Congratulations, you have rooted your BL7 Defy+!
The DEFYPLUS... file is a sbf.gz
When i tried to extraxt it it says that the file is damaged.
What now?

There may be a way of backing up somehow, I'm not completely sure, but I'm fairly sure you can only perform a nandroid backup after rooting.

The problem I have with this is the DFP-231.sbf file has a .gz extension and is therefore not recognized by RSD Lite. Any suggestions?

Hello pals
A lot of user wants to unlock their BootLoaders to be able to use custom roms or just to get root perms on new Stock firmwares.
So I guess this Step by Step guide is what they need.
First note This process only works if you have your Bootloader UNLOCKED
Code:
If your bootloader is Locked and you want to Unlock it please see this thread:
[URL="http://unlock-bootloader.com"]Bootloader Unlocking / No Signal Fix for Locked ARC/NEO/PLAY/PRO[/URL]
That unlocking process works with all Xperia Family even X10 family.
NOTE: If you want to know how install CyanogenMod 7 go to second post
So lets go to the guide...
A) Root a Xperia Phone after Unlock the Bootloader
1. Download the pack that you need for your phone:
Xperia Arc
Xperia Neo
Xperia Play
Once downladed uncompress and you will find 7 Files and 1 folder inside.
2. Install S1 Boot Fasboot Drivers
Put Your phone in Fasboot Mode.
Fastboot Mode: Turn off your phone, then press and hold menu key (Arc/Neo) or Search key (Play) and attach USB cable to phone. You will get a beauty Blue Light.
There are 2 ways to install Fastboot drivers:
a) Normal manual way
Open Device Manager
Right click on "S1 Boot Fasboot" device
Select Update Driver
Select Second Option and path to the "fastboot_driver" inside pack that you downloaded before

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
-
Again select second choice to choose driver from a list
-
Just click on next with default option selected
-
Click on "use disk" or "have disk"
-
Select browse and go to "fastboot_driver" inside pack that you downloaded before

I'm now at step Fifth but when I turn on my phone the screen keeps black Pls help.
EDIT: Ok I've found out the issue: You've to take the boot.img from the folder and not from inside the rom!

Booting failed. After downloading "[LINUX] Universal Nexus Linux Toolkit v1.0 (Unlock, Lock, Root, CWM, Factory Reset)" and ran Unlock the bootloader, Flash CWM recovery (Standard or Touch), Root the phone, I didn't foud anything change (not like my cellphone, I can select recovery mode when long push the powerbutton off button), so I made a decision (I beleve that's a huge mistake), I did lock the bootloader and flash Google Factory Image. Finally I realised I couldn't boot OS, but I found at the begining of power on, I could choose "start" "restart bootloader" "recovery mode" "power off" , It said booting faild if I select start or recovery mode.
Is there any way to rescue my tablet?
I have not used that tool.. But i believe you were to have a rom on your data/ media partition on your tablet then boot into recovery and flash the rom.. Sounds like your tablet just has no rom on it.. Try to adb push a rom to data /media then go into cwm and flash it .. you can use the nexus tool kit to do this if you do not know how..
Good Luck...
---------- Post added at 06:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:43 PM ----------
oops misread . your saying you can not get to recovery.. Try holding both vol up and down together and then power button from a off state . Before i would say 20 seconds you should get a hard reset.. if not the recovery/ rom flash failed.. You will need to use a Nexus tool kit to put the recovery and rom back.. or use fastboot to push recovery.. boot into recovery and install flash rom....
Sorry
can't see device with usb or adb
I have the same problem. Unforunately, I can't see my device with adb or in windows via the usb port. Without these I can't use the Nexus 7 toolkit. Any idea what I should try next?

1) Download the factory. image of nexus 7 before by this https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images.
2) nexus 7 root toolkit for the advanced. utilities it. (Lower left corner of the application), then click Launch.
3) mode is advanced tool you see Quick tools (on the left), select Fastboot-Bootloader me. The middle section (Boot / Flash image) to Flash (Permanent).
4) the file you downloaded from the first) is to run it using 7zip. Do not have a zip file. Recommend that if you are exhausted. The file extension. . Img me into the same folder (for ease of flash. And protection against flash files!) 7zip app and all programs in the community. Reload this App Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.joa.zipperplus7.
Computer loaded from this link. http://www.7-zip.org/download.html.
5) flash file system before the first Boot Click Boot and select the file from 4) the file named boot.img it.
6) flash the Bootloader on file bootloader-tilapia-4.18.img. (The grouper tilapia could be it. If you use the nexus 7 Wifi only).
7) flash the Radio / Baseband file name. radio-tilapia-1231_0.17.0_1205.img it.
8) flash File Recovery file name. recovery.img it.
9) flash file system on the order Userdata System and select the file system.img userdata select userdata.img.
10) completed it. Your machine will reboot. I do not drink coffee.
11) Enjoy! ^ _ ^.
You. Ban flash the wrong files here. I need the name of the file. The only way to tell!
I flash rom 0.2 the risk. I should be very careful.
0.3 If this is the case, you Softbrick it. (Hardbrick may not), then I try this method worked 100%.
There is a 0.4 credit, I thought I was the way I make them up. I want to share with. Please add credit to it. If one on me. Help bring this up with the group, thank you.
0.5 If there is another one your way. The mind of the South. (I have yet to try it as I work) and I like that we do not have information on the nexus (the brick that we do not backup data).
Ways.
First. Downloaded SDK from this link.
http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html.
Two. Then double-click. Extract the files placed on the desktop.
Three. Downloaded Factory Image (create a new folder and then extract the files to put in it).
. 4 Factory Image extracted successfully, look for a file named flash-all, right-click the file and select edit, then go to delete off-w, then Save and come out.
5. Adt-bundle up to see two folders. Click to select the sdk folder and then uncompress the Factory Image files Copy all (6 files) and put it in a folder. platform-tools.
6th. Then double click the flash-all then lay in wait for a while to update it back to Factory Image kosher by the data is lost. Mod it to disappear, they are only dancing, etc. (it's new to flash).
Note: Do not forget to delete off-w, otherwise everything totally disappeared.
Suggested: do not open a cmd without the headache type. Not faced with the annoying Waiting for device.
0.6 Read carefully and understand it before doing it. Because many steps too. And all the way I say. In the computer, you must install the drivers and I!
It's .7 stock rom nexus 7 Wifi version, select nakasi (grouper) it. The Model 3G or 3G + Wifi. Select nakasig (tilapia).
0.8 I thank everyone. And all the comments too. I suggest that the nexus 7 brick.
0.9 If a brick at me because I was pushed to the nexus 7 root tool v 5.0 to flash stock rom just to watch a lot of this toolkit. + audio bug bit orchestrated. I recommend the use of or nexus root toolkit v1.6.3 wugfresh it.

It's a pretty straightforward guide. Just follow the guide carefully and you'll be in no time rocking with B521.
This guide is divided into 5 sections. Follow all sections in the order illustrated in the guide.
Optional Step (Recommended) : Flash Stock B510
It is generally a good idea to start from a completely fresh base. Although not necessary, you will however, loose all your data and apps. Backup what is important before following.
Flash Stock Recovery (see Step 4 below)
Download B510 from here: https://mega.nz/#!NYgUFYLA!wEEf0f3w_6wxbzr9TYTvTquGBUhsMmRG53G8RSp2xMQ
Copy the Update.APP in the downloaded B510 ROM to dload folder in the root of your external SD card.
Power off your device.
Hold Volume Down, Volume Up and Power buttons simultaneously until you see the Honor logo. Your device will now automatically flash the whole Update.APP
Step 1 : Flashing Custom Recovery (TWRP in this case)
If you are already on TWRP, then skip this section. Before you follow make sure you have installed Huawei HiSuite and ADB/Fastboot Tools. If not see the links below:
Huawei HiSuite: http://consumer.huawei.com/minisite/HiSuite_en/
ADB and Fastboot: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0LG0AQ4V9FpcXRmV1BmRk1Ta1k
Extract the ADB and Fastboot zip to any preferred location.
Instructions
Download TWRP 3.0.1 Recovery. Head to this thread for download links: http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-4c/development/recovery-twrp-3-0-0-0-huawei-honor-4c-t3349495 Copy the downloaded recovery to the folder where you have extracted ADB and Fastboot tools.
Power off your device.
Now while holding Volume Down button attach your device to computer via USB cable. Your device will now automatically switch to Fastboot mode.
In the folder where Recovery and Fastboot tools are present, hold down left shift button and simultaneously press Right mouse button. In the dropdown menu, select Open Command Window here.
Switch to the Command Prompt window and type:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery_name.img
Replace recovery_name with the downloaded recovery's file name.
You have successfully installed TWRP :victory:
Step 2 : Enable Local OTA Update option in Marshmallow
In Marshmallow, Huawei has removed the option to flash OTA updates and Update.APP through the Local Update. Lets get that option back!Credits to this section goes to OXALIS at 4pda.ru for making the patch to enable Local Update option in Huawei Update app.
Download the Huawei Update patch from this link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0LG0AQ4V9FpUXUybmFZeTVXNDg Copy it to either your device's internal memory or a SD card.
Power off your device.
Hold Power and Volume Up buttons simultaneously to boot your device to recovery.
Install the zip downloaded in the first step though TWRP.
Step 3 : Removing Root
If your device is currently not rooted and is completely stock, you can skip this section.
Before you follow make sure you have installed Huawei HiSuite and ADB/Fastboot Tools. If not see the links below:
Huawei HiSuite: http://consumer.huawei.com/minisite/HiSuite_en/
ADB and Fastboot: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0LG0AQ4V9FpcXRmV1BmRk1Ta1k
Extract the ADB and Fastboot zip to any preferred location.
Removing Root
Download Stock Marshmallow boot image from here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0LG0AQ4V9FpY1lBVF9ubFdOSXM Copy it to the folder where you have extracted ADB and Fastboot.
Power off your device.
Now while holding Volume Down button attach your device to computer via USB cable. Your device will now automatically switch to Fastboot mode.
In the folder where Recovery and Fastboot tools are present; hold down left shift button and simultaneously press Right mouse button. In the dropdown menu, select Open Command Window here.
Switch to the Command Prompt window and type:
Code:
fastboot flash boot stock_boot_mm.img
Open SuperSU app and click on "Full Unroot" in Settings.
Your device is now unrooted.
Q. Why not just click the 'Unroot" option in SuperSU app?
Although that would work as it does the same the same thing described above i.e. replace patched ramdisk with stock backup, if the backup isn't present (such as you made a Factory Reset), your ramdisk will remain patched even though unrooted. It's good idea to revert to Stock boot.img if you ever need to root again.
Step 4 : Flashing Stock Recovery
It has been literally mentioned a thousand times that you can't flash official ROMs and OTAs through a custom recovery (such as TWRP). You have to be on Stock Recovery.
Before you follow make sure you have installed Huawei HiSuite and ADB/Fastboot Tools. If not see the links below:
Huawei HiSuite: http://consumer.huawei.com/minisite/HiSuite_en/
ADB and Fastboot: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0LG0AQ4V9FpcXRmV1BmRk1Ta1k
Extract the ADB and Fastboot zip to any preferred location.
Instructions
Download the Marshmallow Stock EMUI Recovery from here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0LG0AQ4V9FpbldwYWExOGNTUTQ Copy the recovery to the location where you have extracted ADB and Fastboot tools.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery stock_recovery_mm.img
You have successfully installed Stock Recovery :victory:
Step 5 : Updating to B521
Download the B521 OTA zip from here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxgU9yQssu83NTJ6eFBseS1ET3c/view?pref=2&pli=1 (Credits goes to vit755 at 4pda.ru)
Rename the downloaded zip to update.zip and copy it to dload folder in the root of your external SD card.
In your device, open Settings and tap on Update.
Tap the Menu button and then Local Update
Tap the Incremental Update option.
Your device will now reboot to install the update.
Tada! You're done! (Hit thanks if you found this guide useful)
It worked. Now on B521.
Thanks bro
Can anyone provide the changelog for this? is it worth installing over b510?
Help pls.. After installing the update using Huawei updater, the installation got stuck at around 92% so I had to reboot my phone, but now it's stuck in boot loop... I tried flashing the stock Marshmallow rom but I keep on getting install error on forced SD upgrade... My phone version is balong right now..
Edit: I flashed the stock Malaysian Lollipop using forced upgrade and my phone is working again
SU and TWRP after upgrade
Can i revert to SU and TWRP after upgrade to b521?

Are you sure you're on B510. The boot image has been extracted from B510 Update.APP so it should work on all CHM-U01.
I'm on BalongC52B311, CHC—U01, Android 6.0. I suposed equal to B510. Isn´t it?

The CHC-U01 will not work. You have to manually upgrade to B510 first.
The most easiest method is to downgrade to C636B330 and upgrade to B510.
Finally, B521

So wait, the locked bootloader part, flashing that ftf, does it have anything different or any of the stuff u stated above or is it just stock ftf?
Ooh ok it's stock ftf, kinda confusing lol

I try again, step by step. And now it is ok. Thanks.
Step 9. It doesn't show any FTF file that I can select. Tried it on Windows 10, Sony Xperia Z5 Premium E6853, 32.4.A.1.54. Any idea?
I would like to ask in which step should we go straight if the phone is already updated OTA to 32.4.A.1.54 and the bootloader is unlocked.
Thank you!
thanks

Hello dude, i have a question, this root is with Energy Aware Scheduling (EAS)? And i have sony xperia z5 premium with android 7.1.1 system, never change rom (in this phone) and don't know if is blocked or not, this root is only for the system and however don't lost my files from my phone?
However with this mod there is energy battery life improved with display active?
Thanks much!
Kernal
How do developers modify the kernel for xperia z5 devices?
So, if I have a locked bootloader (unlock allowed - No) I follow steps 1-14 and it gives me root?
Am I right?

Battery drain
First of all! Wow! Been waiting ages for something like this as I have been stuck on 5.1.1 for a long time!
Anyway.. Installed everything as posted by the steps, all worked flawlessly I must admit, lightning fast, very stable, smooth as butter when operating the system, but over the period of 2 days I have had this rom installed I have experienced exceptional battery drain while using Bluetooth (never turn this of due to car and headset), I have never had a problem with Bluetooth using battery but as the stats read it is using about 94-98% of my battery!! It quite literally is sucking the power from my device whenever Bluetooth is turned on.
Is there anyone else experiencing this? Or can you maybe check to see if you are experiencing this?
Any fix would be greatly appreciated mate as I have looked online everywhere and can't seem to find a fix other than downgrading the rom (which is not what I want to do!)
I appreciate any answer in advance
Cheers guys!!
Sony z5p
Hello,
my problem started trying to flash Elite-ROM. I got in a bootloop but I could get out by restoring the data from the backup I made in TWRP.
After getting back to my ROM, many functions didn't work on the phone like calling, camera and many apps, and the NFC sign keeps blinking on the status bar, even that it's not on.
Then I tried to flash the original firmware but I couldn't find it so trying to be a smartass I found out that changing the OEM info to the available firmwares could help
I tried that and now my phone is "bricked" if I'm right about the naming.
here are the only 2 things I can get. one by default and the other when restarting the phone holding the Volume down button.

What is really interesting that Huawei multi-tool by team MT detects my phone...
But it says that my bootloader is locked and when I try to unlock it it says that there is a problem with the USB conncection
PS: I tried to boot into recovery but it just won't.. :crying:
My phone is WAS-LX1A (middle east) and was running EMUI 5.1, build number was: WAS-LX1Ac18
Is there any way to fix my phone?
update: after poking around in the multi tool by MT, I could unlock my bootloader, now I have access to TWRP and the corrupt backup that I have
Update 2: now I just trying to download different firmwares and will try to flash them, I restored the stock recovery to be able to install the firmware via the volume and power buttons on startup...
I can't find a service rom for your region!
In theory you can re-brand it to C432 (Europe) and you can flash original service rom.
Steps:
1. Install TWRP
2. Download OEMinfo for Dual SIM WAS-LX1AC432 - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-k_1rnfFeEvdWxZZE1tNWwwOHM/view
3. Extract the 3 files into folder called "DUAL-SIM-OEMINFO-C432"
4. Put the folder "DUAL-SIM-OEMINFO-C432" into "SDCARD\TWRP\BACKUPS\YOUR_PHONE_SERIAL_NUMBER"
5. Must be: "SDCARD\TWRP\BACKUPS\YOUR_PHONE_SERIAL_NUMBER\DUAL-SIM-OEMINFO-C432"
6. Download ROM Warsaw-L21_C432 - http://androidhost.ru/JT
7. In the root directory of your SD Card create a folder "dload"
8. Put the file UPDATE.APP and folder WAS-L21A_hw_eu (contains the file update_WAS-L21A_hw_eu.app) inside your dload folder
9. Must be: "SDCARD\dload\UPDATE.APP" and "SDCARD\dload\WAS-L21A_hw_eu\update_WAS-L21A_hw_eu.app"
10. Reboot into TWRP, create a backup of your original OEMinfo
11. Restore TWRP backup: Go to TWRP -> Restore and select a folder "DUAL-SIM-OEMINFO-C432" then restore the OEMinfo partition.
12. Go to TWRP -> Reboot -> Turn OFF you phone
13. Once the phone is turned off hold all 3 buttons volume up, volume down, power until you see EMUI update menu
14. An automated system update process will begin
15. After successful install your phone will have Dual Sim and STOCK WAS-LX1AC432B182
Thanks a lot, I'll try it later today.

So after getting stuck there, I decided to restore the stock recovery because, with TWRP on my device, I boot to TWRP recovery whenever I press the + and - volume buttons with the power button at the same time.
After getting the stock recovery the installing process started but it was stuck at 5% until it restarted and got a boot loop for like 4 times. Then It did a system reset on boot, after which I got back to the corrupt ROM...
Maybe I'll try the same thing with different ROMs and their OEMs, do you have other ideas?
@Aalesund
Thank you bro !! you saved me, I've been suffering for 2 days with this till now.
After the reset, I just turned off the phone and tried again, it just worked
the past 2 days were really long and full of suffer, thanks to you I have my phone back.

Thanks a lot again, I'm saving the files and thinking about uploading them to my google drive to never lose them again and to never be afraid of poking around with my ROM
PS: changing my phone's region to EU makes it only less suspicious with my name

I can't find a service rom for your region!
In theory you can re-brand it to C432 (Europe) and you can flash original service rom.
Steps:
1. Install TWRP
2. Download OEMinfo for Dual SIM WAS-LX1AC432 - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-k_1rnfFeEvdWxZZE1tNWwwOHM/view
3. Extract the 3 files into folder called "DUAL-SIM-OEMINFO-C432"
4. Put the folder "DUAL-SIM-OEMINFO-C432" into "SDCARD\TWRP\BACKUPS\YOUR_PHONE_SERIAL_NUMBER"
5. Must be: "SDCARD\TWRP\BACKUPS\YOUR_PHONE_SERIAL_NUMBER\DUAL-SIM-OEMINFO-C432"
6. Download ROM Warsaw-L21_C432 - http://androidhost.ru/JT
7. In the root directory of your SD Card create a folder "dload"
8. Put the file UPDATE.APP and folder WAS-L21A_hw_eu (contains the file update_WAS-L21A_hw_eu.app) inside your dload folder
9. Must be: "SDCARD\dload\UPDATE.APP" and "SDCARD\dload\WAS-L21A_hw_eu\update_WAS-L21A_hw_eu.app"
10. Reboot into TWRP, create a backup of your original OEMinfo
11. Restore TWRP backup: Go to TWRP -> Restore and select a folder "DUAL-SIM-OEMINFO-C432" then restore the OEMinfo partition.
12. Go to TWRP -> Reboot -> Turn OFF you phone
13. Once the phone is turned off hold all 3 buttons volume up, volume down, power until you see EMUI update menu
14. An automated system update process will begin
15. After successful install your phone will have Dual Sim and STOCK WAS-LX1AC432B182

Pleaseeeeeeee, I have exactly the same problem, a method for the was-lx3c605 ???
Guys, sorry for not replying and telling what happened..
anyways, it worked then, after I changed to Europe but then the GPS signal was lost, until I got the app (GPS Status) and now whenever the signal is lost I just launch the app and wait a bit then it's perfect for few months.
now I have the build WAS-LX1A (C432), and everything is just perfect.
Thanks a lot for your help
