Anyone have this issue? I ill get the 15%warning and within minutes I'm down to 1% and it shuts off. my battery life is good otherwise but it's like 15%is more like 2% with how fast it shuts off then.

probably calibration issues.
give it a few days to gater a better voltage profile
The battery flat out lies, it drifts further from reality if you don't reboot at all during a drain cycle.
So your N4 is "normal" as far as N4's go.
Ya kinda what I figured but my s2 wasn't like that so it seemed weird

Hope it's an OS bug that can be fixed with a patch or the next Google images (when/if they come). I'm holding out hope for that to be the case rather than another build quality issue :fingers-crossed:
Battery stat on nexus 4 is simply terrible. Galaxy Nexus that I had with android 4.2 is much better. Dunno if it's a software issue or hardware issue since galaxy nexus with sane OS seems to be fine.

i've actually been pleasantly surprised at the battery life on mine! Over two hours of screen time midway through my day yesterday and i was just above 60%

My advice, get Tasker to disable mobile data and WiFi when screen is off. Disable Google Now. Disable NFC. Disable GPS until you actually use it. Enjoy your 5+ hour screen on battery life.

Why the hell does the Nexus consume soooo much battery ? I have turned most of the stuff off but you dont get any Google Now, emails etc dont work correctly, - totally useless.
My S2 is better than this.

yeah its worse than my Galaxy S2. - battery stats say its the screen but that's on auto and its already dim as hell. When off it consumes power if WiFi is on.

And? Most people don't seem to get this: Say your battery depletes 1% for every 3 minutes you have the screen on, that's 300 minutes, or 5 hours, of screen time. Which is more than acceptable.

Yeah def better than the gnex which was rather good too. I took my phone off of charge @ 7:20am and put it on charge when it had 4% left @ 1:30am. So pretty much lasted 18 hours with medium use.

What do you mean cell broadcast? Where is that?
my N4 is 1% per minute screen on
2% streaming video, that right, 40 minute netflix = 80% battery gone
NFC and cell broadcast off, gps off, screen at 50% brightness

Hey guys, prospective owner here, want to know how people are finding the battery life after a few weeks of owning the phone now. And is there a likelihood we will see google patch it in the near future to fix some issues?
Mines pretty good and I usually get 4 hr screen time and like 17 hr on battery so yep not to bad I did about 3 charge cycles on it but yep.

With every electronic gadget using Lithium-ion batteries nowadays, it doesn't really matter how/when you charge it.
Some would argue to make sure to allow a full discharge from a full charge from a battery calibration point of view, so the battery meter is more accurate. It wouldn't affect the health of the battery itself either way.
Things like memory effect doesn't apply to lithium-ion. How often you charge it and how much you charge it (full or partial charge etc.) doesn't affect it much either. The only 2 things that can potential kill a lithium-ion is high temperature and letting it discharge far too low to the point that it cannot be charged up again. Note that all electronic devices will power off way before it even reaches this threshold.

That is outstanding. But how in the world is it possible that you have a "screen on" state without being awake?
I have been fighting battery issues for so long now, I'd really like to get to something as good as what you get...
i get 5 hours on heavy use until i hit 10 % well my setup is in my signature on light use i am sure i can stretch it to 6 hours with brightness on auto and wifi is on most of the time
battery life is never going to be better for me unless i uv. the previous setup, i used cm 10.1.2 stable with matr1x kernel. i uv and set the max cpu to 1350. it was really really good. i can use the phone from 8am to 9pm.
now currently using aosp 4.3, the default setup battery life has improved a bit compared to 4.2.2 stock, but after semaphore kernel installed and uv a bit, even with max cpu at default which is 1.5ghz, battery life has been really great.

I've terrible battery usage after 4.3 update. I never had any issues before but now I get 20 to 30 percent drop during the night when before it was under 10 in the same scenario.
Android os Showing 6h usage...
Any help on sorting this out highly appreciated.
Battery life has increased a lot for me.
No heavy usage, I know. But still awesome compared to the stats I had when I bought my nexus 4

Just out of curiosity, are in you the US/North America?
I had the same issue of losing tons of battery to the OS overnight. I reflashed to an older version of the modem. Most of the people I have seen so far with these symptoms have been in France and India. Must be something about the cell services and how they interact with the phone.
@Calebz: I'm in Ireland.
I've restarted the phone since and the battery usage is back to normal, will see for how long.
Maybe you can look at this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2385843
:good:
Found an odd issue. The phone just completely died on me today twice when I walked to and from work. It was like there was no power whatsoever. Couldn't turn it on. Now this never happened before and I'm wondering if it was because it was really cold today or something. (-48C at one point) Once I got indoors and the phone warmed up for about 5 minutes it powered on no problem. Once it powered on this afternoon I found the battery had dropped about 25% from when it was on, and it just stayed at that percentage for about two hours with an hour screen time.
This is first time this happened although it's never been this cold before. The CPU wasn't registering a temperature and the battery wasn't either while I was walking.
Back when I had a Galaxy nexus this never happened. Anyone else ever come across this?
