Hi,
is there any way how to disable that annoying sound when you connect USB cable?
Thank you very much
"HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\BatteryCharging\InitVol. Set 'Value Data' to 50 or 40 and reboot.
You can also change the sound of alert itself: HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\BatteryCharging\Sound. "
Quoted from another member of the forum. But I don't remember who Sorry
Thank you very much!

thank you and clean usb port
Thank you for your help, I found out that the real problem was that the USB port was dirty, after clean it everything work fine. Probably is was waking some contact and made the phone think that a headset was plug. Thank you for your help.
Hi all, tried searching for the topic but couldn't find anything so please bear with me
I have discovered that when receiving an incoming call, having set up a ringtone from the device, the first ring is sort of dodgy, like fading in and out. its hard to explain, but its like the volume gets high then low and so on.
however, after the first ring, the second and third appear to be with a stable volume.
can anyone help? and i have already set the ringing style to Ring not increasing.
your help is highly appreciated, thanks.

another problem i am having... i didnt really want to make a new thread.
its with the GPRS. I have set my email to check every 2 hours, and have used HDtweaks to make the gprs to disconnect after 1 minute. the problem is the GPRS almost always stays connected, and i have to disconnect it manually. I am only worried cause it drains alot of battery power i believe.
HELP!

Does this Ring problem happen with every ring tone you select?
As with GPRS HD Tweak should stop connection after it has detected the connection is no longer in use, check your settings in HD Tweak to make sure it is set and maybe try a few different selections of disconnect time.
Also try changing the email check too
Have you installed any other tweak programs?
cheers for the reply mate. the problem happens with every ringtone i select. Today i found something interesting, when i use SPB shell the problem with the ringing tone disappears! its there only on the touch flo, how wierd is that?!
about the gprs, i have tried many times, sometimes it disconnects and sometim it goes on and on until i disconnect it manually.
thanks for your help anyways

Not with the default settings, that I'm aware of. However, if it's the same sound I think it is, turning down the Media volume should reduce it.
It would be nice if we could configure every single sound event, but I've yet to see that.
Or if I would know which sound file is played I could replace it with a silent one.
i would like to know as well
For some reason the files are there to make a sound when connecting to the charger but the phone just vibrates. Anyone know how to enable this sound when connecting to the charger. Thanks!
Switch to Sound mode instead of vibrate/silence should help
Only helpful posts please. Of course the volume is up.
Is the System Volume up? Tap the gear behind the volume bar and check if the bottom bar is set to silent.
Yep. System volume is up. Does yours make a noise when connecting to a charger.
Mine just vibrates. No sound.

Thank you! The files are there to make a noise when connected to the charger but it does not work. Hope someone has an idea to get the sound back?

Huh. No, it doesn't.
I never noticed, I always have system volume turned off because the power fluctuates here just enough to keep triggering the sensor, and on my S3 it kept making a bloody racket every other few minutes. Very irritating.
Turned it up, but no, it doesn't make a sound. Just vibrates.
Those sound files are only there because Samsung did a lazy copy of the generic sound files they use in their nature ux theme. They just copied them all instead of deleting the ones they didn't use in the Note 3.

Guess there just is no way
Hi,
Something which might help is an application in the Play Store called Light Flow (allows you to set all things colour, sound and vibration for events which occur). The fee-based version has a 'Charging' notification which will play a sound when you connect your charger (just tested it and it works). Perhaps check out the Lite version first and see if you like it and/or it has this option for free!
But just let me add... I used to like this app but I don't use it any more. I had to remove it from my S2 because of a talkback issue. Now with the Note 3 there seems to be issues with the LED light not working as it should when the app is enabled. You also have to inspect each event (e.g. SMS, etc) and make sure what you had on before the app was insalled is still on (the app only has a certain number enabled by default and overides stock alerts).
Hope this helps.
Jonty.

use the app from playstore called PLUG SOUND. that's all it is for to make a sound when connecting your phone and dis-connecting your phone. best thing is you choose the sound from your phone anything you want. hit thanks if this helped
Ancient thread, I know. Mine turned out to be a setting to allow exceptions when do not disturb mode is on (which it is always on my phone). In (Pie) Notifications->Do not disturb->Allow exceptions->Touch sounds (on). With it turned off, I get no sound when I plug in the charger.
Hi everybody,
I have a Note 3 N9005 and I encountered some problems. (sorry for my bad english)
- The first problem is a strange noise when I listen music connecting the smartphone to an amplifier or an active speaker using the headphone output.
When I play next track I hear a strange "toc" sound in my speakers. Sometimes only to touch the screen I can hear this "toc" sound.
I made a video to explain better but I can't post outside link...
I tryed other cable but never change.
- The second problem is the low volume of microphone when I call on phone, Viber ecc. The caller says to listen always to my voice low.
- And the last is about the received signal, it is always a bit low and sometimes is lost. With another phone put near the Note 3 is all ok.
So now I'd like to know if my device have some hardware defects or not and if I can solve they or if I should take it to a service center Samsung.
Thank you in advance, bye

Software update of course. What kind of kit kat have you? The last one is GNG1(NEE)
Yes try to update to the latest firmware first.
I have UENB7 yet because with new update I will lose the root privilege. (Towel root).
Has anyone encounter problems with audio connecting to amplifier? Try to search "connexvideo" channel on YouTube and watch "test audio note 3" video. Here you can listen the "toc" noise.
With root can I increase the microphone volume in call? If yes, what is the line to change the value?
Thanks, bye
connex
I have rooted again my Note 3 so I need help to increase mic volume in call.
I found the file "mixer_paths.xml" but I don't know what to do, any idea?
Thank you, bye

Put it into system/etc. Use x-plore as it will automatically replace the original files and apply respective permission.
