Hey,
As the title says, except; how to check it without the box it came in.
Checking the serial over cmd doesn't show the build month.
I am sure I am missing it somewhere.
Thanks.
It was on the little sticker on the back. It doesnt show in software cause all the software is the same.

I really would have thought that you would be able to check the hardware info.

Sideload the APK.
Can't find the APK for you tho, no time
It won't work unfortunately. The n7 is missing the internal mic in the headphone jack for it to work as designed. I figure the 3g version should have it for all the calling apps. Hopefully someone will confirm this though?
You can always punch in the numbers manually through square too.

Quite sure you are right neugroove.
I loaded the apk to one of my domains in case you want to have a go, you can grab it from www.kutiekuts.co.uk/squareup.apk

I confirmed Nexus 7 3G (Model: ME370TG) with Square Register. Square application is available on Play Store, now.
And the app recognized Square Reader, but failed to read my main credit card (VISA).
Unfortunately both Nexus 7 is not supported due to some phone jack problems maybe.
So I've been having some SERIOUS issues with my battery and have requested an RMA. Last night after a ton of issues (and at one where I soft-bricked pretty badly) I managed to unroot + load stock 4.2.2. It was late at night, so I decided I would re-lock the bootloader later.
Fastforward to today, I enable usb-debugging mode, plug in the phone and Windows 7 gives me an error. It says there's an issue. I go to device manager and it shows up with the yellow logo. I figure it's a driver issue so I uninstall drivers, and re-install naked drivers .72. Restart, plug it in and the same issue.
I go to a different computer and try it, same pop (this is Windows XP) saying device not recognized.
I also noticed my device no longer charges from the computer, when I plug it in it charges for a second, then stops.
How do I lock the bootloader if I cannot connect my Nexus 4 to the computer?? I tried going to bootloader and connecting the device, but nothing happens at all there. SOMEONE HELP!
EDIT: Here's the error message in Windows under the device manager: "windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (code 43)". Getting panicked now.
Search for BootUnlocker in the play store. Never tried it myself but by the reviews it seems to work. Good luck.
Edit: just saw that you have to be rooted. Sorry.

Yep saw that one too.
I'm pretty much stuck. There's literally nothing I can do except hope it somehow magically works later on...
Would Google accept the phone as under warranty if the bootloader is unlocked? The battery is SHOT, like it drains 1% every min while under use + like forever to charge. My hope is that the thing never boots when they get it so they can't actually see that it's unlocked.
Try using a different usb cord and I'm not sure if Google will accept it.

Have already tried using 2 different cords. I'm going to try out another computer tomorrow that's brand new and see if it works there. Will also try charging fully but I don't see how that would affect it.
Still leaning towards them not being able to turn it on as a pass. That's the best possible case scenario for me.
I had same issue but try to update drivers of or PC
And install an app on or n4 called sdscan it will fix this issue

Tried it, doesn't work. Also, the issue isn't with the SD card since it mounts just fine on the phone itself. Issue comes up only when connected to a PC.
It doesn't even charge from the PC USB port.
Ive read some posts were ppl wanted to exchange their phones for the other version. Ive noticed my phone acting up recently (rooted MF3) It randomly reboots, the home button acts up and today my phone was off which revented my alarm from getting me up. All of these aren't huge issues but if it will get me a replacement phone on the other version than its worth the time. How would I go about asking for the other version (not even sure of the other version is even available) I'm assuming ATT will ask why I'm requesting the other version.

I don't think ATT is going to give you the other version just because you ask for it
What I'm saying is, my current phone has been acting up for a while but I've dealt with it. My issues most likely will fetch me a replacement model. If it all possible I'd like to get the other version so I'd like to know how to ask. I'm still going to call them regardless about my issues.

Most refurbished phones are shipped with the latest version. The best way to go about it is to tell them that your work uses an application that is not compatible with the latest software and you need a device with MDL. Chances are, they will not be able to help you, but it is worth a try.

Morning! My Nexus 7's screen has inexplicably broken, so I'm prepping it for a warranty replacement. So far I've wiped all the user data off of it, but it's still unlocked. I'm using Wugfresh's toolkit to bring everything back to factory defaults, but the tool is asking me for my Android build number. Problem is, I can't look up the build number because the screen is broken and noninteractive.
Any thoughts on this? Thank you.
Just use "any Android version" I think that's what it says. It is last on list

Is it possible to find out an imei number for nexus 7? An imei that would identify it as a nexus 7 using sites as this: http://www.imei.info/
I have a nexus 4, however in order to qualify for a promotion for my provider, I am actually suppose to use a tablet. I'd like to just give them an imei to register a nexus 7 on their system.
If people could give me their tablet imei, do they risk anything (could the imei be used for malicious things)?
If someone gives you their IMEI, only one of you can use it without raising red flags. It's generally a bad idea to give it out, as others could steal it.

OP always google first.
The Nexus 7 has a CSSN.
The CSSN is located on the outside of the Nexus 7 box. If you no longer have this box, you can also get your CSSN from your device (Settings > About tablet > Status > Serial number).
