guys I have a problem in my MIUI ROM, player lock screen stops working when I try to fast forward, rewind or pause any set to music ..... anyone know how to solve this problem?
Try a different lockscreen ?
Into settings you will found it
If you comming from other ROM or Stock, I would suggest to do a Full Factory Wipe (Data + Cache) and start clean. I had such problem when first moving to MIUI. Of course you will lose all configuration and data, so backup first.

Hello,
at the moment I try to create my own ROM based on XXJPQ.
Up to now everything worked fine, I only deodexed and the ROM and I applied the App2SD Script - Therefore I had to wipe data and after that there was no lockscreen, the homebutton didn't work and in the power menu "Data off" and "Flightmode" disappeared.
How can I solve this problem? I think this always happens when you wipe the data. Does it help when I add a datafs into the Package? Or is there another solution?
Had this too once, I needed to reflash...
Yes, but that's not the solution I'm looking for...
In my opinion there is no other solution, tried a lot of things..
First, when you build your ROM, you need to put clean data and cache (cache not necessary it seems) from your base ROM.
Council from Kyrillos
Of course, but in XXJPQ there is no datafs...
And when you wipe the data this partion will be cleaned, so it wouldn't effect anything...
Normally (like maybe XXJPM) everything works fine after wiping, so what could help?
hi
i have a problem with my u8800pro. i have installed a cyanogenmod7 rom and when i press the lockscren button the device shut down instead of locking and i have to reboot it
anyone have the same problem?
Nope.
Sent from my ragelis
Check CM7 thread. I think I've seen complain about this. Didn't happen to me though.
I've got exactly the same problem. And can't find how to solve it. Moreover it turns off instead of locking when time for locking comes.
If anybody knows what causes it and how to solve this problem - please help.
It also happens whit MIUI ROM
Yes the same with me.
Here is 2.2 froyo stock rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1315823
Oi! I had the same prob, the system worked like it should but as soon as I pushed the power button to go to sleep the device reeboted. You need to make sure that you clean the Dalvik cache, wipe data, wipe partition, before you install your Cyanogen ROM. I did that and it helped.
Hello Friends,
I am having Red Lens Defy with 24/09 CM10 running on it. ROM is quite stable and working fie but I am facing Battery drops issues as well as heating issue for my handset. This is my only handset which i use for day to day usage.
I would like to go ahead with 2ndinit ROM by almighty Quarx but i am not willing to wipe my data for it. I have some concerns regarding ROM. I would appreciate if you can help me out...
1. Is it possible moving to 2nd Init ROM from 24/09 CM10 without wiping the Data? Have anyone tried? Are there any consequences doing so?
2. Is it recommended to Daily usage as this is my only phone. Anyone Tried with Airtel India(preferably Mumbai)?
3. Are there any issues noticed in 3G connnection(i use it daily)?
4. Can someone help me with steps to install this ROM without wiping data? Or is it same as upgrading nightlies?
Thanks & Regards,
Sameer
I try to change ROM s without wipe, for me it ends with a never ending reboot. u can try it, but the chance that it worked is not that good I think, just make a full backup before and if it fail restore it.
there is a free program on the PlayStore (appextractor) with that u can restore ur apps from a nand backup with there data.
Jelly powered.Defy
i went from 24.09 to 18.10 just wiping cache and dalvik cache without any problem, make sure to make a backup just in case and try it
So is it a daily usable ROM?
yes
Jelly powered.Defy
Question:will someone help me?
I will begin by saying that I have no idea where the problem exists for my individual situation, and it would be great if I could get some help.
Background:
I used to run Dead Rage 1.2.
Now I have been back and fourth between Skrilax nightlies and Bytecode's cm10.1 with little to no hiccups.
Over time I began to notice a little lag(notification drawer, swiftkey, and basic ui elements).
Problem description:
Then I decided to try some other roms to fix my issues.
When I flash Carbon rom:
- It has no lock screen by default (and I have not been able to fix this in lockscreen settings)
- The home button does not work (neither in pie controls)
- the quick settings panel button in the notification drawer does not open the quick settings( nor can I access the quick settings any other way)
- the home screen apps are strangely and slightly above the software buttons
I saw someone with similar problems in the posts of carbon but it was resolved by a single reflash.
I also tried a relatively new rom called Revolt on droidrzr:
- I experienced similar issues with the home button
- I did not delve into the issues more because the issues were similar to carbon
Explained, further:
As explained above I have flashed without issue before.
I am under the impression that the way to flash is:
1. mount system
2. wipe system
3. repeat
4. reboot recovery
5. mount system
6. flash
I have tried every variation on this set of rules I think is possible for carbon. I initially had TWRP 2.3. I have flashed without rebooting recovery, without mounting system, with a factory reset on the previous rom, wiping cache and delvik as well. If I don't wipe the system I get weird crashes and the home button still doesn't work but it fixes other things like quick settings. Sometimes when I would wipe system, and not do a factory reset, and flash carbon all my apps from the Bytecode build persisted. This made me think it was a recovery problem.
Then I flashed TWRP 2.5. I have similarly tried everything with TWRP 2.5 and get the same results. I have tried 6/21, 6/23, 7/2, 7/4 carbon on both recoveries.
I have a backup of bytecode cm10.1 and I am running that currently.
If some one would help me troubleshoot or fix my problem, I would love to get carbon. And I would be very much appreciative.
If I am in the wrong place please point me.
I did not post in the carbon topic because I do not have more than 10 posts.
I know that people are not paid to help me so I respect when they do.
Also if you need screenshots, I can reflash carbon and take some shots too.

Thank You So Much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know its soon and I am still crossing my fingers, but thank you!
Hi, I have installed CM10.1.3 stable on my US Cellular XT901 electrify M. The ROM is same as for XT907. everything works fine until after few days my some of the apps specifically games starts freezing giving error ' process.system not responding' and game also force closes. After that every other game or browser like chrome start to Force close giving same error. I reflashed the ROM in clean way.
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache
manual format system
mount system(tried without this step also, nothing changes)
flashed ROM zip
wipe dalvik cache
after activation reboot
flashed Gapps
Tried slim bean ROM build 7.1......having issues with musicFX and poweramp compatibility.
tried different 4.3 ROMS they all feel somewhat laggy.
So can anyone suggest me any solution for CM10.1.3? or suggest another 4.2.2 based stable custom rom.
Back up whatever you need to and reflash back to stock 4.1 using Matts Utility ( Look in Developement Section). Then download and read the instructions on how to flash Liquid Smooth. Its by far the smoothest and astest rom ive used on my Droid M. Except i cant get my bloody Whatsapp contacts to sink. Good luck.
I used liquid smooth and loved it... except batery life which sucked really bad!... it made my M's batery life feel as bad as my Galaxy Nexus was... Terribad!
..
I've tried AOKP and never looked back, batery life is awesome!
Also, big part of Liquid Smooth's slickness is due to the launcher it comes with => Nova Launcher.
Thanks for the reply.
can you provide the link for Liquid Smooth V2.9 because i have v2.8 and it is not working fine. Not able access quick settings menu!!
Does making Nandroid restore to stock 4.1 will help?
