Everytime I flash a new rom and go to wifi setup in begining I enter the wifi key correctly but my N7 just sits there and it says
"Saved. secured with WEP" . Never says connecting ?!?!? WTF . thanks
I have no issues. Using Linaro AOSP latest.

I'm just learning reading xda myself, if I remember correctly it's your current kernel not matching. Seems I read that on a couple different threads.???? Keep reading and someone please let us know if I'm wrong. Thank you

Where can i get this fix?

The fix for wifi has been submitted to the dev team, but it hasn't been implemented by them yet, so it isn't a part of CyanogenMod yet. There was a build floating somewhere around this forum that contained the fix, but I can't find it right now. Maybe someone else will have better luck.
Hey, i got a wifi problem it connects & then disconnects a several times.. in a minute or two..
Using stock GamerzRom 3.01 JVU nothing changed!

hy!
I have that problem to , it seems that firmwares 2.3.5 and 2.3.6 has some problems with routers ( not all ) i have a belkin and when i installed those firmwares i observed the problem now i`m using 2.3.4 with cf-root and semaphore and works properly
I do have an smc barricade and an UPC router i dont know the model of it but that one disconnects too.. it's very weird never had this problem on Miui/ics/froyo/gingerbread, and flashed over 100 roms! So i think it's too about that 2.3.5-2.3.7 firmware problem :/ i hope that this will be fixed because i dont have an unlimited data plan

Probably a noob question, but have you controlled the suspend policy in the advanced wifi settings?

Yes it's standard on " Never " so it does not turn off because of that..

Hi everyone,
Does anyone have heard about a fix for the N7 to be able to recognize adhoc networks ?
I can't even see the signal tethered from my android phone through barnacle.
Thanks in advance.

Just tried using barnacle after reading your post and it won't work from phone either. Haven't looked into this yet but I'm sure we just need to change the WPA supplement, possibly some custom Roms have this "fixed" but being this is the first time I've tried I haven't looked into it
when I get some free time I'll see what I can do and post back, otherwise hopefully someone else can chime in and let us know what's up

Have you tried this on different wifi networks? It sounds like your connection is probably not reliable.

go to the devices main setting, apps, all, download manager.. now delete the data. now go ahead and download something, this should fix it.
If you close download manager and browser in the multitask/ app switcher thing it fails

Switching to WEP may solve it
I'd really like to help but i don't have much time right now. But i can give you something to start.
1. I'm not sure but N7 may not have all wi-fi modes because of production costs. Wi-fi b/g is there but no a/n. Maybe it has something to do with this. Your router could be broadcasting on a or n or something. Actually i'm not good at this. I'm just trying to give you some leads.
2. Setting your wi-fi password to WPA could cause some problems on some devices, not only N7. I've seen it on laptops, phones, some unimportant wi-fi enabled devices. Maybe if you could set it to WEP, your download problems could be solved. I don't have a N7 but my download problems solved everytime i switched to WEP.
Hey guys...I have posted in many threads but was not getting an answer...So I created this thread...Im having a serious WIFi crisis...My downloading speed is very very low..I have a 1MB line...but my max download speed is like 3-4 KBs...I have tried many things...There was a thread with wifi issue and a possible fix...Tried that with no success...I have unchecked the wifi optimization in settings too...Also tried installing franco's kernel, that didnt help either...
So is there a solutiin or do I have to live like this...as i cant return to google as a rma ...
P.S My other android phones had no problem on this router...
Thanks..

Does this only happen on your router or all wifi signals.
Only thing I can think of is updating the router software and see if this changes things at all.

When you say you've tried another possible fix.. Were you talking about system/etc/WiFi/ WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini trick?

That's really weird because I used that same method to fixing my WiFi problem and it works. Double check to see if you changed the right one.. =\ all I can say man
Google Nexus 4
Turn off BMPS (Set it to 0) in the wifi ini. This should theoretically remove all slowdowns but will prevent your phone from sleeping (with wifi on). Another solution is to download Franco Kernel with Prima Drivers and force wireless G mode in the ini.

Please use the search function next time
Anyway here you go: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2272140
This includes the latest Franco Kernel (Way Better than M2) + Prima Drivers. Try to test this first before we force wireless G mode
