What does DPI mean in android terms? I know only in mouse terms, DPI means dots per inch.xD
Same thing.
Dpi of computer mice is the sensitivity. Dpi of screens is also known as ppi, pixels per inch

The Galaxy S res is 800 x 480 or 480 x 800, depending on orientation :0)
This is hardware and can't be changed... The TAB has a 7 inch screen compared to the Galaxy's 4 inch.
If anyone has a s3 (or similar big screen) and nexus 4, would you be kind and share a pic with both next to each other with screens on?
I`d like a big screen phone (coming from a 4 inch). Thinking about buying this in January...
So is the nexus 4 screen big?

First youtube search shows the result.... ..
S3 Has a bigger and more usable screen
N4 has about 1cm less of vertical space due the on soft key buttons..
The N4 is teeny bit wider than S3..

I transferred my wallpapers from my SGS2. Resolution of those is 960x800. On my SGS4, there's a little strip of black at the bottom. Is the resolution of this screen 960x854 rather than 960x800?
This phones resolution is whatever 1080p is, drawing a blank. 1920 x 1080?

I'll try that. And if it's too big I guess it'll shrink it down.
In 4.3 the resolution of s3 worked pretty good however in kitkat it won't
Anyone got a prefect 720p resolution and dpi settings for this device as setting a 1080p resolution is just a waste of battery and processing power

The screen by itself is the biggest battery drainer of the whole device. The screen itself is 1920x1080.
If you use software to put it into 1280x720 or even lower the screen itself will still be 1920x1080.
All the 1920x1080 pixels need to be enabled, regardless of the resolution set by the software.
Ergo: has no use, to save battery. Best way to conserve battery is to leave the screen off.
Hi guys I have the note 4 and the LG g3 and I was wondering is they a way too add a bit more sharpness to the note 4 display?
When I have both side by side the g3 seems the sharper display I know that some say the g3 is over sharpened but I kind of like it :silly:
Or is it a hardware limitation (well just different types of display technology )
Not a problem if not as I still prefer the note 4 just like a but more sharpness
Thanks
G3 has a better display and more ppi 538 vs note 4 515ppi

So the more ppi is the difference in sharpness?

23 extra PPI aren't going to be much of a noticeable difference.
I suggest trying to change your device's DPI
