A while back I experimented with the xbox wired controller and the playstation 3 controller. I cant remember what program I used for the xbox controller but it was working nicely for Shadowgun 3 and Dead Space. Have you tried USB/BT joystick center 6? Currently I use the sixaxis controller program.

Does anyone have any experiance using the Mame4Droid app? I would like to use a BT controller rather than the on-screen controls (pounding on the screen to play Track & Field isn't fun), does anyone have suggestions? I've seen where a Wii controller can be used with a separate app, but i'm thinking that a Sixaxis PS3 controller would be better....any input would be appreciated!

I've been using the ps3 controller with the sixaxis app in usb mode fine, but can't seem to pair it via bluetooth. Also read somewhere that this gamestop controller works great with our nexus 7, so I'll prob give that a try:

You have to be rooted before the SixAxis app to install the required BT Pairing drivers.
The SixAxis App itself offers a bonus in itself by offering button-to-screen button mappings. This allows for controller use in games otherwise unplayable with a controller. Specifically for this thread, MAME4DROID, probably wouldn't matter since all Emulators have button mapping.
I haven't tried the Gamestop controller, but I have wasted lots of money on alternative gamepad solutions that ultimately just sucks. Quality in a device is essential for old school gaming. When I press Up, I don't want to go Up-Right. When I press Jump, I want to jump immediately. The Gamestop Controller seems nice but I would always be cautious. The reviews say that the controller feels light, cheap, and the button presses lag.
The PS3/SixAxis App is your best solution for gaming. The Gamestop controller might be 2nd or 3rd compared to the OnLive Controller.

I just brought a Red Samurai bluetooth wireless controller from Game Stop. I believe it is their brand. It seems to be working great for mame4droid. My phone is the Lg Optimis VU gsm unlocked. Verizon has the same phone. It is called the Lg Intuition. I'm running 4.0.4 ice cream sandwich. I tried it on two games 1942 Capcom and The Raiden Project by Seibu Kaihatsu. Both games work flawlessly. My phone has not been rooted. Just pair with phone and map the keys. Enjoy

Galaga with a ps3 controller is fun lol. Sixaxis will prettyy much take care of all your android external controller needs.

So, i have a nexus 7 2012 rooted and i bought an OTG cable.I wanted to connect my logitech f310 gamepad and everythings worked fine...but i launched in modern combat 4 and the camera is spinning around...same for gta san andreas.I checked dead trigger 2 but it is working good.I tried the tutorials with xbox wirless problems but no solution...Anybody has an idea how to make this gamepad to work with this 2 games?
Some controllers work better than others, the 360 and PS3 controllers for example will have support in a lot of games where a more uncommon controller such as yours will not have support in all of the same games.
You can use an app like this to map controls and have your controller work with unsupported games...that app is said to be tested and compatible with your Logitech F310 :good:
M.O.J.O. is advertised as having "MULTIPLAYER SUPPORT – Connect two or more gamepads for multiplayer games". Has anyone ever tried this feature succesfully? Is there really any android games out there that support offline multiplayer on the same device?

Thanks for the info, gwaldo. It never cross my mind.
Which emus did you use successfully with your 2nd Ctrlr? And how do you set it up? Did you plug the dongle into the USB 2.0 port?

I mostly use the N64 (Mupen64), PS1, PSP, snes, Sega mega drive, I forget their names just google and try them out..
But emulators on android have great controller mapping, so it doesn't matter what 2nd controller you have, you can map it (configure the buttons/sticks) and play it , the N64 support 4 players!
IE as explained here:
http://www.howtogeek.com/141052/how...hysical-controller-on-your-android-phone/all/
I'm hoping gameloft can do controller mapping one day!!
The mojo controller needs the USB dongle (yes I keep it on USB2 unless I have need to use a HDD), the retail controller is BT2 so it doesn't need it, but I prefer the mojo ctrlr because the middle button activates the background apps, where as the retail controller doesn't.
I just found out that we can play Badland in coop and multiplayer mode with 2nd controller. I use Ipega PG-9025 as my 2nd controller and connect with bluetooth. Hope that more android games will support this.
