Having previously UV a bit more aggressively and reduced touchboost level to 700mhz like OP, I can say it helps quite a bit with battery life for heavy users. Went from barely 4.5hrs to 5-5.5hrs.

About Benchmarking Apps
1.Quadrant(v2)
Quadrant is a benchmark for mobile devices, capable of measuring CPU, memory, I/O and 3D graphics performance.

2.Linpack
The LINPACK Benchmarks are a measure of a system’s floating point computing power. they measure how fast a computer
solves a dense N by N system of linear equations Ax = b, which is a common task in engineering. The solution is obtained by
Gaussian elimination with partial pivoting, with 2/3*N3 + 2*N2 floating point operations. The result is reported in
Millions of FLoating-point Operations Per Second (MFLOP/s, sometimes simply called FLOPS).
This test is more a reflection of the state of the Android Dalvik Virtual Machine than of the floating point performance of
the underlying processor.
This is a simple benchmark test to show performance relative to other phones for a standard calculation

3.NenaMark2(fps)
NenaMark2 is an OpenGL|ES 2.0 benchmark for high-end mobile devices.Unlike many other benchmarks, NenaMark measures
performance using realistic scenes that could be taken from a typical game and presents the result in frames per second,
i.e. providing an intuitive performance number that can be used for realistic comparisons between different devices.

into browser performance and stability, including networking, JavaScript, rendering, and user experience

About
BFF aka BornFromFire is my customized kernel for a series of Huawei MSM8916 devices such as:
Huawei Ascend Y550(Tested)
Huawei Ascend G620S(Not Tested)
Huawei Ascend G760(Not Tested)
Huawei Acend Y635(Tested)
Huawei C8817D(Not Tested)
Huawei C8817E(Not Tested)
Y550 community inspired me to learn more about kernel hacks and optimizations to make this kernel and give users a better experience using the device.
I searched a lot on xda for other custom kernels and I found a really interesting one for Motorola MSM8916 so I started porting its features to our kernel.
Thanks to @FireLord for sources.

Doesnt work. Did fresh clean install of cm12 and tested it on orion lp. Still doesnt work. Audio and video playback (probably doesnt work cuz of audio) works back after going back to orion stock kernel.

Update aka LogCat.
Getting spammed with "Opening sound card state : /proc/asound/card---/state"" and Opening sound card state : /proc/asound/card---/state failed no such file or directory then "boolandroid::AudioDaemon::getStateFDs(std::vector<std:air<int, int>>&): 0 sounds card detected" then "Sleeping for 100ms" and it loops itself.

http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=1231190 now im using other rom gonna try installing that kernel when i will wake up
Hello guys, I have been testing this kernel for a couple of days and this is my review. Everything works perfectly fine except from a couple things. When the kernel settings are applied in kernel auditor the settings don't stick after reboot. Some settings stick and some dont like the maximum GPU frequency. Also the CPU governor doesn't stick after reboot and the have to be changed. Apart from that I have been using snartmax governor with sio scheduler and the CPU frequency minimum is 302mhz and the maximum is 1152. Overall I have tweaked the kernel for battery and the results are amazing. Thanks for the kernel and hope that the little issues get fixed.
This is the screen on time I got but I know I can get even more out of it!!

I think u need to enable option on kernel adiutor to run settings on startup.

Yes I have already done that but the problem is still there. Some of the kernel changes are applied but some are not.
This is a recent screenshot of a benchmark that I ran to give you guys an idea of what the phone runs like with my settings which are mentioned in a previous post.
Guys quick update looks like I was checking the settings too fast after my phone booted. But I gave it a bit of time and all the settings applied perfectly. So there is no problem with the kernel at all. Thanks to the dev for the awesome work!

Yo,
I can add though, I don't think it'll work on santoni.
I'll add once I confirm that it works on our device.
Thank you ?

I am not used to use a kernel different from the original one.
I suppose that flashing a (new) rom will not affect the kernel installed, isn't it ?

I'm using 2208 MHz with interactive governor, the battery drain is the same as stock kernel and phone is faster.. one word : WONDERFUL !!
Just installed this on AEX 6.6, every is working ok so far. Will post if I hit any problems.
After flashing the kernel My phone speakers won't work but with earphones sound is working fine.
Right now am in latest lineage os pie
For me, apps like Maps, YouTube, google news, Instagram etc take longer to open. Idk if this is happening only in my case or with everyone..?

For lineageOS users i have made another build
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1h1JRe4YlqAMvfuhgEfRgkbqPrvlnTy3c/view?usp=drivesdk here you go
That's awesome we got OC support on this Kernel. I tried increasing Global Voltage Offset but it doesn't change anything (No temperature change or freq change of cpu) so skeptical if its actually working.
Haven't faced any issues after flashing this( except pubg didn't open until reinstall ).
İ install i dont find setting
After oc performance still same minor improvements in benchmark scores

Yeah what do u expect an efficiency oriented processor could do?It reduced stutters in pubg for me.
I tried OCing by increasing volatges, but couldn't know if it's actually working...
