post-froyo phone freeze issue

My phone has never frozen but I was on the web after flashing 2.2 , i pressed home, then I pressed settings and it froze. After about a minute I was able to press hold power, no menu but screen went black and I pressed power again and was able to unlock screen and was presented with a launcher force close on the desktop.
I've never rooted my phone and this is the first time my nexus has ever frozen could this just be the device getting used to the new firmware or should I be concerned? If this wasn't the first time my phone ever froze I wouldn't have thought twice.

I have two nexus's that get black screens when trying to run the Dialer. Working on it now...
UPDATE: Logs are telling me that (1) there is an issue syncing contacts and (2) this is related to why the phone app isn't starting. Looking more...

I'm unable to sync with any of my google accounts because of the "syncAlreadyInProgress"-- as a result the contact list is screwy and I can't use the Dialer or contact list.

Facebook for HTC Sense

So I had to replace my Aria today, and now the HTC Sense Facebook will not log in for some reason, is there another way to Sync FB with your contacts?

This program has not worked right since i got the phone on June 20th. My main problem is that once it syncs once the contact pictures don't reliably update automatically if someone changes their picture. my work around is to remove the acct from "accounts and sync" and re-add it.
today i did this and now it won't connect so it's not working at all! I'm not very happy with this app which is sad because i love the htc software in general!

I did the same thing and after re-adding my account to Facebook for HTC Sense, all my fb contacts are gone…

One of my friends just got an Aria today because he liked mine. He can't get his FB syncd either.

Its a widespread issue and from what I read over on the HTC forums, an HTC specific one.

I've had my Aria for about a week now and have not been able to sync a single contact with my facebook list. If I go to my contact list and click on facebook, it shows 0 contacts and refreshing does nothing. I set it to sync in the settings but the only picture that it pulled was my own. I hope they fix this soon and make a better facebook app for Android. That was one of my favorite things about my Blackberry.

Looks like it's back up and running.

I've got an Aria in Virginia Beach and its still not working for me. I tried removing and re-adding it in "Accounts&Sync"...still getting a connection error. This sucks.

yes, it's definitely working.
maybe you should log out from android app, delete facebook for htc sense account, delete data for both facebook apps in app manager then relogin + readd fb account. Sync & refresh in people's facebook directory tab.

@wizja - I just tried everything you said to do, I even logged into facebook on my PC and deleted the HTC app so it would re-add it by itself, but when I go to "People" and hit refresh it waits about 2 minutes and then gives me a "connection error".

For those that are seeing this work, are you also getting the 100 contact limit?

For the first time sync was ok, then I've tried second time and it gave me connection error but after phone reset it synced once again... so maybe you're just expecting some temporary problem?

Woke up this morning and all my facebook contacts are there. Looks like its fixed on my end now.

Works for me too!
Now, I'm interested to see if picture updates are more reliable than they were before.

Sorry to keep pushing, but are you seeing all of your contacts? Mine won't sync over 100.

Mine pulled 111. I guess those are the only friends I have that provided their phone numbers to facebook.

Yes I got all 201 of mine

All my fb contacts were back this morning! Hope everyone's has cleared up too.

Server error when I try to access market download

I had the same problem. In the help docs you can access from your menu button while in the market it tells you to log into google checkout from your desktop and fix your payment methods. Worked for me. there was old incorrect info in there and once i cleared out the old stuff and updated my payment method I was good on my phone.
Also if you are with tmobile and charge your market purchases to your bill you can just go on google checkout and remove the current instances of your tmo account from your payment methods and when you try to buy your next app you will be prompted to set up your carrier billing again.

I am having the same issue.. I just picked up my NS this morning and when I went to my downloaded apps I kept getting a server error.. I tried the google checkout method but it didnt help

Also getting the same error.
My guess is GOOG is having issue matching up my phone ID to my GOOG account?

If it just with NS then maybe they are pushing the new market to us?

im having this problem on my nexus one and nexus S.. its been driving me nuts!!

I got my NS yesterday and now I'm having the same problem. I can do everything else in the market but look at my downloaded apps.... Oh and btw my N1 got the new market last night with no sim card in it?

I think that has something to do with it.. since our N1s are still hooked up with our gmail account, I think its conflicting with our gmail accounts on the NS.. basically the system sees both phones associated with the same account .. just my two cents

Oh and also, the reason ur N1 got updated with out a sim, is BC it was most likely connected to wifi and updated according ...

[Issue] Gmail app force close when opening second account

Hi all,
i have successfully added second gmail acount through accounts and sync and everything went very well but wheni switch to gmail app and select menu>accounts to switch between accounts, the app is force closing
when i perform clear cache of gmail app and open the app, i am able to select the second account and from there gmail app force closes whenever i try to move to first account.
dual accounts Gmail app is working fine on my Nexus S perfectly
do any one have this issue? any solutions?

Similar problem here too, even worst for me is after setup the gmail and now when I click on the Email app (on widget or app) it will force close and give a error: com.android.email force to close...... I cannot even setup second account, and now I can only access my gmail by clicking on Gmail app...... any solution or same problem???

I'm simply getting a terrible lag where it never opens my inbox. Very frustrating.

nobody else has this issue with gmail app?

I'm having the same issue with the e-mail program. I have set up my exchange account, and it displays correctly in the widget, but if I try to open the app, it force closes. Is there a way to uninstal the app and reinstall it? I have tried clearing all the data and recreating the account. Many thanks!

surprising to see no one else has gmail app issues with second account as i have tried on 3 G Notes and all force closed.........strange coz nobody tested this wanted feature or busy about bragging about pentile matrix (even though you don't know what it is)???????!!!!!!!!!

For the dual count I don't know but it seems for me Gmail app have a stange behaviour. After quiting a sleep of the phone, gmail lag sometimes before opening...
Maybe there's a link between our problems.
