Can The Moderators Split these Forums please cause is so much confusion Between N8000 and N8010,all i see in here is N8000,just need to open one for N8010 so we know what updates and Rom's we getting, thanks and Happy New Year
I cannot see why they should split it.....
Firmware that works on the N8000 does work on the N8010 & N8013 also.....
Just my 2c

A simple identifier in the title would help. There's not just the 8000 8010 but also the 8013 and 8020
So a bracketed identifier would be nice to letter everyone one the device variant under discussion

The devices are functionally identical so all the tips and how to's are the same. It's really just a matter of reading the content of the various posts. It would certainly help if people were more specific but with multiple languages spoken in this forum that's sometimes a challenge. None of the forums for previous Samsung tablets were split so it doesn't make sense to split this one.

Not entirely identical. There's some features on the 8010 that don't work using the 8000 roms.

As to the OP the first two pages of Development cover three model builds with a total of 21 roms .
One third of those roms state 8010 in the title .
But we could do with a faq stating the differences in the model builds .

Guys Dont think its miui based Rom or its jus Miui...!! i can assure its Totally different UI.. This Rom is called presently as DX ROM or DianXin Rom...
i know you guys may think it looks like MIUI , but i asure you it’s totally different ROM nor MIUI-based modification.
As with MIUI, it’s based in Asia, so the ROMs available to try currently still have some translation to go through and are only available on a couple of devices. Namely, the GSM and CDMA versions of the Samsung Galaxy S.
The people who are working on it currently are the aforementioned qtwrk on the GSM model and XDA Senior Member swamp goblin, who ported it to the CDMA version from qtwrk.
So far, these are the only two phones that we could find running the OS, which is reportedly only 3 weeks old. It can be expected to start making its way around the forums as people start warming up to the idea. In 6 months we could all be saying that development is not truly active until there’s CM, MIUI and DXOS are present.
If you have a Samsung Nexus S and want to check it out, or if you just wanna see what all the fuss is about, then you can head on over to the GSM Samsung Nexus S thread found here and the CDMA Samsung Nexus S thread found here. Inside these threads you’ll find download links, discussions, installation instructions, the all-important screen shots and additional information about this potentially awesome new Android-based OS. As per the norm, these ROMs are still in beta so exercise the usual caution when flashing (making a nandroid backup, etc).

Cast your mind back to the original Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Samsung Galaxy S II, and you'll recall that version was based upon Android 4.0.3. Now it seems Samsung's 2011 flagship is getting another update to push it up to the more recent version 4.0.4. According to reports from SamMobile, the new 4.0.4 firmware has been finalized and is to start rolling out over-the-air and through Kies, starting with unlocked Russian handsets.
The new "XWLPM" firmware for the Galaxy S II (international version, GT-i9100) was built just a few days ago on July 5, and includes a new radio firmware, too. Keep watching Kies, and that software update menu, to see when your device is ready to be updated. Or if you're feeling brave, and absolutely must have that extra 0.0.1 version bump, you'll find an ODIN-flashable version over at the source link.

Just installed New Zealand version for testing & it is 4.1.1 not as mentioned @ samfirmware 4.0.4, so this is clearly a typing mistake & all others Tunisia, Open Austia, etc.... should be 4.1.1.
Yes there seems to soom goof up at sammobile as no sense in samsung pushing ics roms when already have a working JB rom
Just flashed that firmware. Yes, typo mistake...

I have it installed since yesterday and it runs nice. I run the New Zeeland version and it has some carrier apps in it. There is one other LK4 firmware and thats Open Austria, the Tunisia is an ICS firmware ( LI4 ) so dont download that. Havent found anything new yet in the firmware.
Bloody newzeland, why do small countries always get update first? My girlfriend told me size matters, that's why my stuff are always huge. But Sammy doesn't appreciate them at all.

Well, new SIII mini (SIII mini value edition) with 4.2.2.

Seems to be a security related update mostly (has the Android security patch level of November, which is by the way supposed to be a marshmallow feature) , but has also improved my battery life. FYI, my note 5 is from Singapore.
In other news, I asked Samsung if they had any news of marshmallow. Sadly none so far, but that they'd keep us posted.

It's available as an OTA for me too. Mine is from Singtel (Singapore). I'm on the out-of-the-box Singapore OJ6 firmware, CSC code SIN.

If you're coming from out of box firmware, expect some fairly noticeable battery improvements. Samsung has been doing well releasing updates for the Note 5, bought mine a week after launch and have gotten 6 or 7 updates perhaps.
Any other regions gotten it yet?

I got COJ5 today on TMOBILE - stated security and battery improvements and a Smart Manager fix.
AOJ is already being discussed here and here.

To be fair I did start the thread first. Those both are an hour old.
Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk
My bad on the first one. I meant to link here, which has been open since 22/10.
The second one was started in August, and they've been discussing AOJ in there for a while.
We don't need a new thread every time an update is pushed to every region for every variant of a device, especially if it's an international variant of the device.
Thread closed.
Please continue your discussion in the existing thread here:
