Yesterdag, i flash a now rom on my motorola defy. I came from cm7 7.2. I delete data/ factory. Wipe cache and darvik. Install slimbeam 3.1, but the hardware buttons doesn't work anymore.
Then i delete data/factory , wipe cache + darvik and install cna 3.6.6. But now i have random reboots. Has someone also have these problems? What is a very stable rom for a defy mb525?
Thanks a lot

I'm currently on the latest CM7.1 nightly but when I tried to flash the cm7.2 nightlies which are for the defy+, I got stuck at the M logo. I then flashed my old 7.1 and now it's working again. Can someone tell me what I did wrong? Also, I didn't erase data, just cache.
I think that's because defy+ uses another kernel , so when you flash cm7.2 you still having froyo kernel , i think if you flash the cm9 kernel over cm7.2 it will work! But i 'm not sure

Can you link me to both cm7 and cm9 kernels?

I packed the two different kernels into clockwork flashable packages.
1. Flash either a nightly or restore a nandroid.
2. Flash either CM7_Kernel-signed.zip or CM9_Kernel-signed.zip; depending on what you've installed.
3. Reboot.
CM7_Kernel-signed.zip
CM9_Kernel-signed.zip

I tried those .Zips and they didnt work for me.
What I ended doing is restoring Boot/devtree using CWM from a Walter 2.3.6 rom and it worked
Let me get this right, first I need to flash CM7.2 and then I need to restore boot and devtree?
EDIT: Thanks leonardojegigzem. It worked!

CM72 for DEFY+ didn't get camera working for now.
Any idea when it'll be fixed or if it'll ever be fixed?
Why don't you try the CM7.2 Nightlys for Defy and not for the +?

I guess because the ones for Defy+ are more recent. Newer = better.

The camera works with the cm72-111213.0943-NIGHTLY-Defy+ nightly - of course red-lense only. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20267108&postcount=14484 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20399252&postcount=14580

You should try CM7.2 rom for the device you possess i.e. Defy. :good:
Just install cm7.2 for defy (not +). If you want to flash the defy+ version, you will have to install gb kernel and battery fix.
Yesterday, I installed CM9-NIGHTLY-120406 in my Defy classic, I had chinese rom froyo. Now I'm having lots of issues with CM9 (blocks, usb not working, etc.)and I was wondering if I can install CM7 now.
Yes usually you can, do full wipe, wipe dalvik Cache and install cm7 ;-)

1. My defy has stock froyo and I flashed it to cm7. Now I'd like to try cm9 or cm10, do I need to flash sbf or sth?
2. I saw in cm10's thread in which it gives gapps. If I flash cm9, can I use the gapps it provided in the cm10 thread?
3. My current cm7 is quite buggy and slow, cm9 and cm10 should be better?
Thanks.

Just wipe your data, cache and dalvik cache.
Install the CM10 ROM, then flash the updates.
Wipe cache and dalvik cache.
You are done! No need to do anything else. You are safe.
And Quarx CM10 is awesome!
You can use it daily.. and with the battery fix.. it will be too good.
Thank if I was helpful.
Cheers

Hey guys, i tried installing CM7.2 by maniac on my defy+ sometime earlier, and had problems passing, cyanogenmod logo.
I cleared all dalvik and cache but still nothing.
Steps:
- Cleared all partitions an cache.
- Installed rom, then cleared cache and dalvik
- installed gaaps, then cleared cache and dalvik
- Rebooted and now stuck.
Hope for some quick help...
I guess like me u too come from cm10 2ndBoot Roms. I had the same issue, suggest u to flash sbf before your battery dies.

Tried the CM 10.2 on my 802 int (tried two nightly beginning of Nov) anyone know if it has been fixed? Tried other ROMs and got the same problem - they are all based on the CM-kernel so I guess it is related to that?

Ok cool, please keep me posted on that one
I found out that when I did a dirty flash of the nightly I got the the reboots. Did a full wipe and installed the rom again and the reboots disappeared. So if you have random reboots on the CM 4.3.1 just give a full wipe a go.
