Tried the CM 10.2 on my 802 int (tried two nightly beginning of Nov) anyone know if it has been fixed? Tried other ROMs and got the same problem - they are all based on the CM-kernel so I guess it is related to that?
for me 20131113 on day 1 no random reboot

Ok cool, please keep me posted on that one
I found out that when I did a dirty flash of the nightly I got the the reboots. Did a full wipe and installed the rom again and the reboots disappeared. So if you have random reboots on the CM 4.3.1 just give a full wipe a go.

I upgraded from 02-05-2012 to #31 and it just sits at the boot animation until the screen goes dark :-(.

Did you do the following (this is what I do every time I install a new ROM):
- Boot into fastboot & "moto-fastboot -w"
- Upon reboot enter recovery immediately
- Wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache
- wipe dalvik cache
- wipe battery stats
- install ROM.zip
I'm on nightly #31 now, and have 0 problems.
Good folks: How does one turn off the fingerprint reader navigation in Cyanogenmod nightlies? There was a "devices" option in the weeklies and I can't seem to find any other option under settings to do it.
i ran the nightlies. great roms.
Finally my phone sleeps! Nightly 31 seems to have fixed most of my issues tho the gps still sucks unless its not cloudy.
Too little too late tho

Dude. That zip has a permanent place on my sd card to be flashed right after new roms I think. It is a dramatic improvement!
quick question.... if i flash a nightly is it just like doing a normal update with cm7 beta to cm7 ba2tf where you flash it and its done or do i have to wipe and reset and then flash ????

by the way #32 is now up jesus 2 in one day thats pretty bomb. im flashing as soon as it downloads

When you install the first nightly, I would do a full wipe, after that for updates, a cache/dalvik wipe should sufice, but if you experience any problems or issues, I'd go back and do a full wipe again.

Just tried out nightly 31. Pretty fast. Ill have to make it my own with themes and larger keyboard. However can't find where to set up the fingerprint unlock. Is it incorporated in the nightlie or will I only find it in the weekly and if so, which weekly?

Which weekly? I tried the stable ba2tf and couldn't find it there.
I might be the only one here with this, cause I've read through many posts....But CM7.2 has freeze problems on my green lens defy, which I have to reboot by removing the battery. CM7.1 when I use the Camera, hangs, and have to reboot. And sometimes the same thing happens with my music player: DoubleTwist.
I love the CM Roms.. but not having solved my issues, what is out there that works? Suggestions?
Paul
Defy Red lens here
mine is running smooth and really fast. i'm on last Quarx nightly 2012.05.05 and it's awesome build. i have no hangs no random reboots, it's pretty stable for me.
Sorry about my english.
Maybe you are undervolted...

Try flashing a new base froyo and do the whole process again.
Also make sure to always wipe cache/dalvik.

If I were to do this, what base froyo are we talking about.
I always do the following:
Cache, Dalvik, install zip from sdcard....reboot

I take it it's the 04/05 Nightly right and not the one that has (kobe)?
Well I installed this morning CM7.2 Stable and it has happened again....for instance when I power off, the phone lags for about 3 seconds, then it slowly animates the TV tube animation and shuts off.
I'm downloading the quark 04/05 nightly to see if that helps.
Cheers, and thanks
Paul

Hi,
that's weird. My Defy (MB525, Red Lens) works fine with 7.2 nightly. Used the Defy+ Version with 4.5.2-109_DHT-22 GB kernel. Works stable and fast...
Cheers...

Btw, defy+ builds might not work properly on your phone since the camera module is different.

Well the Quarx Nightly has been working well for three days now. It's much solid than the RC. It does lag a bit, but then again it might be I have a lot of open apps.
Thank you all. So far so the better of the three.

hi there, i'm actually using latest official 7.2 nightly and it's running really smooth with no problems at all
I am currently trying to find out what is causing random reboots for me. I am on sabermod rom, build 06/14. Kernel is the included one, voltages I did not touch.
I pulled the last_kmesg and hope it gives any useful information:

Flash stock and see if you are getting reboots. If not, then it's the custom ROM.

Just try reflashing the rom
Hi all,
I have CM10.2 nighly (JLS36G build) + Franco Kernel 188 JSS.
Since I flashed CM10.2, I started noticing random freezes when I write something with the on-screen keyboard.
It lasts 5-6 seconds and then everything starts working again.
I remember that I read somewhere that this issue happens on JSS/JLS builds... but I'm wondering if some fix/workaround has been already found. Any solution while we wait KitKat?
Thank you.

Those are called Deadlocks. It's a bug in the AOSP Mako source. You solve it by using a Hybrid ROM, like PA, or others.

Thank you. So there is no way to solve it in CM 10.2 or other AOSP-based roms.

Nope, sadly.
aokp is one of my favorite roms I only used it when I had my galaxy s3..i have the s4 now. im rooted and I have tried almost every build (4.3 and 4.2) available and my phone always randomly reboots but with Cyanogenmod or Slim or PACman everything is perfect....any ideas on what could be causing this? I am sticking with CM because it gets more updates and its more stable but would really love to have AOKP back

No I have never flashed a kernel myself always have used the one the rom comes with? I'm not too familiar with kernels and don't really even know what exactly they do and which one would work for my model
