No. You just said Cyanogenmod does it, which could of implied
A) On the CM ROM, charging LED works for me. You had no mention about having it built in, I elaborated. No need to be all defensive
B) LightFlow
OP had no mention of using a app. so therefore A would of been the default instinct

As far as I know, you need Light Flow to do it. I've been running CyanogenMod on my phone since I got it so I don't know about stock.

Hey. I was wondering if there was some kind of cm7 add on I could flash and have some kind of led light turn on while my phone is charging. I have a funky charger and would like to know if my phone is charging without having to turn on the screen I'm on neutrino 2.6 ee ..-sigh- I wish I new how to code. xD

Theirs an app in the Google Play market that allows for this, as well change the led color. I tried this on my Atrix and it works well.
Not sure why the led isn't already showing that it's charging for you. But try out this app it's called Light Flow Lite - LED Control.
Hope this helps. If not maybe someone else can help you out =).
Light flow..on playstore

I have noticed that mine changes when you get an SMS while charging, but then when you have checked the message the charge led doesn't come back on. But that is on jokersax cm9 not 7.

In my nexus 4 I'm not getting real time notifications for Viber and Whats App.Instead I need to open the app each time to get the new messages.
I have seen that when these applications not in the screen(even if its running in background) the data uploading and downloading symbol is inactive.
But I'm able to see the 'E' symbol. Background data is disabled, since it should work even when its disabled as my defy was working fine.
this happen at me when i using stock rom. after i'm using CM 10.1. all this problem disappear
Any alternate solution with out flashing?

I had this issue as well, and only when I switched to CM10.1 it got solved. what light flow is?
Now I updated to CM 10.1 but still I'm facing the same issue. But once when back ground data is enabled its working fine.

Hello Guys! I need some help plz
I'm from asia and I like to use WeChat to keep in touch with my friends(whether you guys know it or what, this app is popular in mainland of China)
Here comes the problem: new message wont be pushed to my Nexus 4 after I locked my phone for a while.
I'm doing all kinds of tests these days. I finally reflashed the factory image yesterday. After flashing the image I did nothing but install WeChat.
Then I logged in and locked my phone and waited for 15 minutes. No interrupt during this 15 minutes. Then I used my iPhone to send a WeChat message to my nexus 4. NO NOTIFICATION......the notification came out after I turned on the screen and unlock the phone. WTF:crying:
By the way, my nexus 4 connects to my wifi all day long. I've already turned off the wifi optimize and I chose to keep the wifi connection when the screen turns out.
I also noticed that when I locked my phone for a while and turn on the screen, the signal icon is grey. After 1 or 2 seconds it will turn blue. I know the blue color means the phone is connected to Google. So I guess the phone will disconnect wifi after locked for a while? I have no idea about it...
Other IM apps seems having the similar issue... I dont like to miss my friends' message and keep them waiting...
Can you guys help me out? Thanks!!!

Hi
First, sorry if this is a Repost but i didnt find a similar post.
So here is my question : is it normal that my notification led blinks only once every ten seconds when i receive a notification ? I mean... This is slow isn't it ?
Thanks for your answers
Regis
Yes its normal. You can download lightflow from the market if you want to customize the frequency and color.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
It is a lot better with 4.2.2 than it was with 4.2.1, where it blinked once every 30 seconds.
Wonder why it is so slow though. A LED doesn't use that much power, or would it need the CPU to be awake while blinking?
are you on stock? im on stock 4.2.2 and LED light never light up at all, see it once in a very very blue moon very fast but never repeat. have to download lightflow and its beyond amazing

Thats what i use. Seems to be a nice app.
mmmh was thinking of lightflow too but i wonder two things:
1 : a lot of users talk about battery drain increased when using light flow, and i'm the kind of person who likes to have as few apps on my phone as possible.
2 : if something so obvious as this (1 bling in ten seconds is not enough) is occuring, there must be a reason :-/
is there no other way that lightflow or other app to change this rate? maybe next android update will bring it to 1 in every five seconds
Hi,
You can try Light Manager, no issues, no battery drain, works perfectly.

Have you checked the Light Flow thread in the N4 apps forum? No one is complaining about battery drain there.

Yeah but is the drain noticeable or negligible? Again, try and see if battery drain is a popular topic in the LF thread or not ...

If you want, you can use the Paranoid Android ROM. It has the option to speed up the notification LED builtin. Also comes with the option to change the colors of course. Third party app like LightFlow leaves you more control, but I personally find the builtin feature to work just fine.
I am running Pure Nexus with the ElementalX kernal and have the paid version of light flow but I can't get the led to flash. I had it working before, but I changed roms and then came back to the Pure Nexus rom and now I can't get it working again. I have tried following the setup guide for lightflow but I must be missing something. Is anyone else using lightflow with the Purenexus rom? If so, what settings did you use?
Thanks
Why don't you just use the built in LED settings that PN includes?
