Im using GT -S5360 with hyperion roms and no tweaks
My phn's touch has recently started to freeze a lot after connecting it to usb with my computer
Ive tried uninstalling kies, reinstalling drivers, flashed back to stock via odin, even formatted my pc, but still no luck
My phn is working properly on my laptop and other computers but not on my computer..my phone is still under warranty
What should be my next step?

Hello. I received the phone today. I had a rooted desire HD before this.
My windows 7 is newly installed so I had to install 32bit/64bit java SDK, and android SDK. I downloaded the usb drivers, the platform tool package and so on.
The problem is that, although the USB debugging is turned on on the G.Note, windows won't recognize it as a ADB Android Phone. Under 'devices' I can see:
- CDC Serial
- SAMSUNG_Android
Both with a "!" : needing drivers.
ADB is correctly installed, and if I type 'adb devices' in the prompt, no serial number of any device is displayed. If I try to start the root procedure (through the .bat file), WAITING FOR DEVICE : it just doesn't find the phone and nothing starts.
I tried searching manually for the driver: device - properties - SAMSUNG_Android - find driver manually - extra\google\usb-driver ...... but it doesn't install it !
I didn't have these problems with the desire HD....as long as the phone is not recognized as a Android Phone (without "!")....I can't start the root procedure !!
What am I doing wrong ??
Oh and also:
- tried changing USB port
- rebooted both systems
- uninstalled the 'SAMSUNG_android' device, then plugged it in again....same thing, not recognized as Android Phone
have you tried to install Kies?
i think i am stupid...that's the equivalent of htc sync right? i'll try again and hope that it will make the difference.
yeah, it should install the
right drivers. after that, be sure kies is closed properly in order to use odin.

remove all the drivers and try with usb debugging,
had a similar issue with Windows 8 where the drivers never installed correctly first time and around so would install,
on my transformer when i had the same issue i removed all the drivers and on reinstall the drivers installed fine
I have done so and i do have usb debugging and still same issue. Dont know what else to do. By the way i am running Vista

Do you have multiple android devices installed? I have had the same issue when I tried to install drivers for my p6800. Deinstalled htc software AND drivers, then tried again, worked perfectly.
No, no other drivers. I recently reformated my laptop and still a no go. Whatever items do install it allows me to access both external and internal drives, but those 2 items dont and just get "drivers not installed"

My mass storage is not working, I'm running the Hyperion rom, and this is really getting on my nerves now, I've enabled and disabled USB Debugging, I've installed and re-installed Samsung Kies (their stupid little piece of bad software that shouldn't be needed)
WHY ISN'T THIS A SIMPLE BLOODY PLUG AND PLAY?!

Try turning off usb debugging. The problem only persist if I use hyperion rc5 blablabla. No problem for hyperion 7
Plug in usb
Open status bar
I press the usb thingy
Press the cute android
Wait 20 seconds
It should work now
Though I still have to state that
ALL YOUR CHEESE BELONGS TO ME!
Try to update your usb driver..
Try to install latest samsung kies and samsung driver...
Other way : in your pc, open device and printer > right click pc icon and choose troubleshoot and use troubleshoot to your thunderbird device.
I hope it can help you

Correct me if i'm wrong.
Having trouble connecting this tablet to anything. I have tried 3 separate computers (Windows 7 on two of them, XP on the other), 3 different cords, USB debugging is checked in settings, and drivers are installed. None of the computers detect it at all, I connect the cord and nothing happens. No sound, and nothing pops up in the device manager of the PC's. It's almost as if the Micro USB port in this tablet is dead.
I want to make sure I have tried everything before I crack it open and take a look inside. I'm not a n00b to androids or tablets. All my devices are rooted and I just installed a ROM in my A200, etc. But this a problem I've never encountered. Any ideas to something else I can try?
Drivers...Acers and those from the sdk.
Try putting tab in apx mode and then connecting...
failing that uninstall ALL drivers then reinstall only the a500 drivers...
Also try opening cmd on the folder which contains adb.exe

Yes you will, unless someone has come up with a driver fix lately. Use xp, Vista or win 7....or linux
Sent from my HTC_PN071 using Tapatalk
Did all of the above steps, no dice.
I opened a cmd window while in apx mode and adb could not find a device.
Tried all of my USB ports on my PC after I reinstalled the drivers.
I really think the micro usb port in this thing is dead but the regular usb port works fine.
I'm lost on what to try next

Help... picked up a G2 last month. Stock, factory reset. Everything was cool.
Did the OTA update to Lollipop.
Now I have No USB options.
No media sync (mtp), no camera option (ptp), whatever else is supposed to show up in the pull down shade that doesn't.
Nothing.
MTP drivers of all flavors fail to install.
There's no way for me to connect to my pc.
No way to tranfser files.
No way to root.
No way to try and flash a rom.
No way to brick my phone :/
Any thoughts on how to resolve this would be appreciated.

if nothing else helps
install es file manager and simple copy paste the whole dcim/pictures folder to pc over the wifi network... (just make sure that pc folder is visible on the network - make it shareable)
- i use this all the time for copying files from pc to my phone when i'm too lazy to sit by the computer
or you can use quickpic's integrated wifi transfer option which can transfer pictures to any other device that also has quickpic installed...
I have the same problem and i want to root the device but I can't do it without the usb. I tried to use various apk root apps but all fails. Any suggestions?

I had same issue after updating to lollipop through the lg software. I have uninstalled all the drivers related to LG and plugged in the phone and it started working.
I have deleted them by going to Device Manager, then from the top menu click on View then select Show hidden devices then expand Portable devices from the list and uninstall your LG phone from there. Try to do that while your phone is connected. Then once you have uninstalled it, reconnect your phone.
Also, have you tried connecting your phone to different PC?
Yes, i tried with various pc and various os such as linux. Nothing. There are not working also the usb otg memory.
