if I add the "sound" toggle i can only set silent/sound/vibrate but I can't adjust volume level >_>
I'm not sure about cm10 but therer are ways to add volume sliders rather than toggles, right now I can do this on my phone I am typing on, which is a cm varient, I'm sure someone else can jump in with the exact way to add it for your rom

I'd like to know if this is possible too.
Set Orientation https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.googlecode.eyesfree.setorientation
Pull down the notification bar and press the screen with spinning arrows icon, it will change to a padlock once it's pressed.
I have my DPI set to 160 which puts it in tablet mode, and still the lockscreen is only in portrait. I don't want an app that locks the orientation because I'm still about 50/50 on using portrait and landscape.

The Set Orientation app lets you set it to auto, the lockscreen will rotate with the tablet.
This does work. However I use widgetsoid in the notifications drawer, and with screen krien. enabled, I can't adjust brightness. Just and fyi, but figured someone else must use this combo as well. The screen orien. also makes some apps tough to use in landscape, such as songza.

if you have root, add this to your build.prop file in /system/build.prop/ and reboot.. launcher.force_enable_rotation=true

You could also flash a ROM like Paranoid Android which gives you control over what interface each app uses like phone, phablet, and tablet. This is probably not the solution you were looking for, but you did say any way to make the lock screen rotatable.

Working great, thanks. Is there a way to hide the icon in the notification bar?

Thanks for the info, but after some days I have uninstalled the app as it has been the reason for short screen-freezes every x seconds which was kind of annoying.
CM10 supports lock screen rotation.

Ultimate Rotation Control.
I use Ultimate Rotation Control. It rotates everything, including the lockscreen, & has different settings.
Hey,
Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the on screen buttons on the nexus 4?
You can do it on the last nexus, and by using a gesture be able to get them to show up.
Kinda sucks that the nexus 4 has a 4.7inch screen, but usable size (unless watching videos) is only around 4.4inches.
On parandroid Rom you have the option to expand the screen, will serve for you!

Can use LMT which either allows you to use swiping gestures for command input (such as on screen button actions) or pie (gesture creates a half circle on side of screen with buttons). Once you have that, you can use the fullscreentoggle apk (both apps are on XDA, just Google) and remove the buttons. Works great for me for the most part. Had a few cases where LMT crashed and I had to reboot the phone due to not being able to back out of an app to restart LMT.
You need root for these as well.
How u gonna go home or go back if u don't have those buttons? Just curious?

Cyanogenmod has the ability to do it too by accessing the power menu and selecting 'Expanded Desktop'

With a gesture.
See it here:

You can use the full screen toggle app which works on stock rooted rom. It's not in the market.
Here's the apk:

'Button savior' works too, just make sure to install it before using the full screen toggle app and rebooting:silly:
Or just do it yourself by going to system/build.prop using Root Explorer and add this to the very end and save (and reboot):
qemu.hw.mainkeys=1

What is this command line use for ?
Auto hide the screen buttons ?
On parandroid pressing the power button you have the option,so its not a problem...
Is there a way to just make the buttons transparent but still usable?
Try GMD gesture control!
I'm using it since my galaxy s3.
I was searching for the same answer and tripped over this by mistake actually. There is an gesture to turn the status bar off. I was just messing around with the gestures a bit and when I used the status bar gesture suddenly the on screen buttons disappeared with the status Bar. Was really pleasantly surprised!

Hi, I have GMD but whenever I lock my home screen after unlocking the nav buttons are back and touch control doen't seem to work on 4.3. Any advice? I don't want a custom ROM althought I am rooted and using a custom Kernel.
I can see all the settings for it but can't see how to actually enable it. I didn't want to post on the thread for fear of it getting lost amongst the sea of posts on the paranoid thread
Cheers to anyone that chips in...

If you enable expanded desktop mode (in the power menu) you should automatically get Pie controls. I don't know if there's a way you can have them while the softkeys are on but then again I don't see why you'd need them .
If you want the pie controls but still want your notification shade, check out this video (and subscribe to the guy too, he deserves it).
Enable expanded desktop (by long pressing power), it's "always enabled"
I did just find it....was googling....thanks very much for that

Pie will start working when there is no nav bar. Whether you achieve this by enabling Expanded Desktop or by changing nav bar to 0 dpi is up to you.
People won't thank anymore, eh..

Have you done this? I tried adding that line to my bulid.prop, but it had no effect. Reset the phone and still had a navbar. I know he was doing this on stock and I'm on PA3. Would that make a difference? Any ideas?

Set nav bar to 0 dpi in settings. It's built into PA.
I can't change any of the custom colors in Hybrid Settings for the apps or nav / note bars. I can get into the small menu with the options to change the colors but when you actually press them, the color menu where you pick the color takes up most of the screen and there is no way to "confirm" or "apply" the color that you picked. If you hit the back button nothing changes. Anyone know if maybe I'm missing something here? Or is this a bug? Maybe a bad flash? Help me out please.

Try making your modifications to the Hybrid Properties in Portrait Mode, rather than Landscape.
The Stock Color, Active Color, and New Color options should be visible that way.
Thank you so much. That should be fixed... I find it odd that things get lost to screen resolution because of orientation layouts are forgotten or just straight up not optimized for the device one builds it for. That's a bug one would think would be avoided at this stage being well into developmental builds. Thanks again for the tip. I'll report the bug and look for others like it.

Hello,
I hate all this buttons and sliders in the notification panel. Do you know if there is a way to get rid off the quick settings bar, the QSlide Apps, and the sliders for volume and luminosity ?
Because with all that, less than half of the screen remains for the notifications ....
Thanks for your help
Qslide yes. Brightness and volume no... Correct me if I'm wrong
