if you still can use nandroid. why don't use flash to another rom
so you can't boot back into recovery?
if you can, make sure you do a full wipe before installing a rom (always do a wipe when installing a new rom)
THanks for your reply's the phone suddenly came back to life...!! thanks alot everyone!

I bricked mine as well. It bootloops and then goes into the recovery. How do I put a rom on it so I can choose it to be flashed? I had a restore point but it won't work after I restore it.

in recovery, mount your sd card or usb, and put a rom into it. make sure your phone is plugged into your pc.
or take your sd card out and put a rom on it and put it back into the phone, then boot into recovery and flash it, simple enough?

lucky you! My wildfire cant go into recovery, battery drains out in 2-3 hours, now even with a new battery. I am so sad
@kevin2516
I was desperate enough to not do a search in the recovery menu. I did the thing with the sd card. I don't understand why my backup started bootlooping...
Used this method to Root, unlock bootloader and get SU

Flashed over CM7 beta, rebooted system, and I get stuck at the dual core screen. I think my battery was really low, because when I pull the battery, I get the "battery too low to flash". But its hard to tell when the battery is charging. Does it charge (AC) when I am in CWM? Or anytime when its plugged into AC?
IT dosent sound like a hard brick, just a soft brick perhaps. I hate rooting phones cause of this.
does not charge while in cwm but powered down it should charge
When I power down, and plug into outlet, it just boots up and stays at Dual Core screen with unlocked.
EDIT: Flashed a different ROM and it seems to be working fine. God damn Atrix and Cyanogen. Was never this hard on HTC Aria to do all this crap.
+1. BUT, you shouldn't need to flash, go into android recovery and factory reset and erase cache and reboot and you should be ok. I got stuck in boot loop the first timeI flashed CM7 prebeta 1 the first time. Good habit to wipe everything (except system) after installing ROMs.
Its backwards to me that you wipe everything AFTER installing ROMs.
But everything is working fine now.
It's just a precaution to make sure there is nothing to conflict with the new ROM

this works with CM7, but you don't want to get into the habit of doing it for every ROM. some ROMS have goodies built into the data partition, which you won't be able to get if you wipe it after installing

I have one backup. I always manually format before flashing, personsally.

So i was installing a SBF and i got to the "manually reboot phone now, so i tried to, and i got nothing, so i tried again again and got nothing, so i pulled battery and still nothing happened, now i can't even get to a bootloader, bootmenu or even a boot logo, all i get is white LED from the LED indicator please please please help
what was the original rom on the phone and which sbf did you try to flash? looks like you tried to downgrade...
Sent from my MB526 using xda premium
yeah, i was on 2.3.4 and i flashed a 2.2. didn't realize it was un downgradeable, if that's a word. but ya anyways, any solutions?
does rsdlite recognize the phone? if so, flash 2.3.4 again, that should fix it theoretically. if it doesnt, try to bring it back under warranty and say you wanted to upgrade, cuz you heard there was a newer software (in fact, there is, 2.3.6), and it broke your phone. when i did the same thing (trying to downgrade from 2.2 to 2.1 back in march), they took my phone back, and changed the physical rom, and now everythings fine. good luck!
You will need to flash a unique 2.1 firmware via rsdlite and from there u can install whatever you want (but only by nandroid backup) because if ur phone was on 2.3.4 thats mean the only way to flash froyo is by nandroid backup but u still can flash 2.3.4 or higher the normal way which by rsd lite , hope my information was usefull
but if RSD doesn't recognize it, i'm pretty much screwed? damn it. thanks anyways guys. i tried to take it in, but apparently there was no warrenty on the phone, so ya. done for.
I'm using rsd 5.4.4 should i use 4.9?

use the last one and make sure u installed motorola drivers
does the pc make any kind of sound when you connect the phone? if so, theres still hope. if not, may she rest in peace

I think that defy is undistroyable by rsd lite .
The only thing happened is not recognised that battery is emty.
if someone near you have a defy too you can borrow its battery and follow
This
If can't get a charged battery you should get a desktop charger or use "Mcgyver hack"
It is 100% that you can't fullbrick it.
With wrong rom it vont turn in or show anything on screen but if battery is ok the pc gonna recognise it and RSD lite will write the new sbf.
Hello guys! first of all sorry for my English!...well i messed up my u8800-51 and i cant get it to work, i´ve read most of related posts, but nothing work, so i'll try to explay what happened, i hope u understand my issue and help me...
Ok i had a 2.3.5 GB non-official installed, from androidmovida.. my phone was working just fine, but due to all the apps and media it was kind of slowing down, so i restored it to factory settings... when i did this, my phone started up normal, and it was almost perfect again, but i realized that even without any app installed i had 800mb of the ROM occupied, leaving me less than 200mb, this was just wrong, the ammount of memory used just after a factory reset should be around 350mb... so i installed cwm 5.0.2.7 and booted it to recovery mode, here i pressed;
wipe data/factory reset
wipe dalvik cache
and what i think that screwed my phone..i went to mount and storage and pressed format /system...
Since then my phone didnt start, but i was able to get into the recovery mode... so i downoaded the stock 2.2 froyo from huawei
(this page is in spanish cuz the phone is sold in Venezuela).
i formated my SD card, and put the dload folder in its root and the update process started, but failed...
now i cant even get to the recovery mode, ive tride the process to install the fw a million times and it keeps failling..
and i just can get to the updating process or to the pink screen..if i connect my phone and leave it connected it shows up the logo and turn off, and repeat over and over..
my guess is that somehow i cant install the rom because the memory is almost full, but i have no idea of how to clear it!
if any of u guys can help me i would appriciate it a lot!!!
again sorry for my English and for the long post, but i wanted to be specific so you dont waste time telling me to do things ive already done! thank you!!!!

You need a micro sd reader and hook it up to a computer than copy the stock gb over and delete the old froyo. You should've asked.
I've read this may work, but android movida was closed down.
Try this.

sorry its embarrasing i have to ask, but i'm new with android so im a little lost! but according to what i got to learn last night trying to make my phone come back to life, there's no GB stock for the u8800-51, actually the only stock fw in huawei was the one i downloaded, and the one i installed from androidmovida required froyo to be succesfully updated..anyways ill download GB to see what happens, but if you could be a little more specific it would be nice, buecause as i said, i just learned a few things last night!!
Thank you very much for your help!

hi
I have a Motorola defy 525 I bricked it a few time never had an issues going into bootloader and flashing the original .SBF and starting for scratch
this last time ....when it started it up it never asked me to sign into Motoblur the wifi was already on (I never opened it) it was how I left it before I flashed it
the touch screen was not very responsive also (no service) signal comes on and off every few seconds it does allows me to do a phone update but makes the phone more unstable it wont allow me to view apps also notice the phone getting warm front and back
to me it seem like the phone is just overlapping files and not totally erasing when in flashing in bootloader with the original .sbf file because I have been installing it frequently
am I supposed to flash with a file that will totally erase the phone softwear before flashing with original .sbf file ?
alittle help, helping a noob....
ive seem to fix a good portion of the problem I did a hard rest on the phone and it seem to be functioning normal on it stock rom now but im now having another problem I wont root with SuperOneClickv2.1

DFP-231 should work. Once you go to GB you can't return to stock froyo.

The Framaroot worked and it allowed me to install SndInitDefy with no problems, but when I tried to install GB it froze on the Google logo then had to flash to original sbf file
Once again I tried to install cm7 on my Defy
started from stock sbf file updated the software
installed Framaroot 1.6.0.apk
installed SndInitDefy_2.0.apk
booted in cmw wiped data/ factory rest
installed update-cm-7.1.0-jordan-signed
did a wipe again, restarted and again was left with a frozen google screen start up.
also when trying to install cm7 it was giving me (installation aborted) a few times before it actually installed
Have you try erase your MicroSD card? Or use a different new MicroSD.
Although you have totally wiped/formatted your phone by flashing it stock SBF.. but your memory card still hold some of your previous rom data..
