Hello Guys,
My name is John, I recently became the social media analyst at Samsung mobile. I wanted to start opening the lines of communication between XDA and Samsung. First I wanted to say I have noticed your work on our devices on the XDA forums. I think you guys do an outstanding job, I myself am a developer for mobile devices. So let’s get down to business, we’re going to be in Austin from March 10-15 for the SXSW(south by southwest http://sxsw.com/convention). I was wondering if any of you guys are going so that we could meet up and share a couple of ideas I have. I am looking forward to meeting some of you GREAT developers!
Thanks in advance,
John

Hey John,
Any news on any updates for the tab , 2.3, 3.0?
Thanks!
I will answer all your questions shortly, for now i just wanted to let you guys know that we forums. We like your work and want to establish a partnership.
Sounds good john thank you : )
Good to hear that samsung still care about us. Now why is my tab still running jj3 yet kies says it is up to date when there are newer firmwares

Why is the stock browser useless. Slow and laggy. Can't use it.
And the Gallery sucks to. Hangs up and the pictures that i have don't shows up.
The central part whit Tabs is that you will be able to browse the web.
Samsung have sold a tab that is worthless to use to web browsing.
Have to use Opera or Doplhin.
Can't say that the overall impression whit the SGT is good. Its slow and unstable.
And it was expensive as hell. You didn't get what you paid for when it comes to SGT.
If it's true that you work for Samsung it's thumbs up. But i have a hard time to believe that.

Hi there,
A partnership sounds great.
Could you provide the Verizon Wireless tab stock image files?
Thanks!
For those of you guys that know that use Sense and know that exchange really blows on HTC's stock email client, Amazon is offering Enhanced Email for free today. So far it's working fine for me so if you can get your hands on it, check it out!
I know this is posted on the Galaxy S and Atrix forum, but since this is a great workaround for anyone who uses HTC's terribad email client, I decided it was fair to post it here.
Finally got the Nexus 7 in the mail today. Very happy with it, like how it feels and performs. Very happy with the price too.
Being a iPhone and iPad user since the original iPhone to just selling my 4s. Android is very exciting.
I also recently bought the Samsung Galaxy S3 and been loving it, have it rooted and running a custom rom, it is everything I wanted from Android.
Now with this new tablet, I am wondering if there is anything I should do to make the most out of having both an android phone and tablet. Apps that synchronize or just work really well together.
I also wanted to say that although I really enjoy everything I've come across with this OS I am a bit disappointed with the app ecosystem, and wanted to ask if long time android users have noticed that there have been more app being produced recently or if it is picking up. Although their is a few replacements for some of the apps I'm used to, they don't seem as polished, specifically I had an app classed iStudiezPro that synced my iphone,Ipad, and macbook with all my teacher info, class schedules, homework assignments, final dates, grades, ect ect. Looking for stuff like that.
Thanks for the help in advance,
Alex
P.s. I see up top that SyncSMS is recommended, is that the best way to text from the tablet from your phone? I heard of MightText also. Any suggestions?

I've used DeskSMS, and Textab. I didn't like the fact that Textab required bluetooth pairing of my phone and tablet. That resticted the distance between my phone and tablet. For that reason I liked DeskSMS. DeskSMS sends your txts to your gmail, and gtalk. This is very convient. All that is needed is a wifi connection to receive txts that go to your phone on your tablet. Also, I believe MMS messages are sent as attachments to your gmail. I have no experience with MightyText but the description says it runs through a browser. That is a restriction I do not what to have. I'm assuming that if I close the browser I won't receive txts on my phone. So with that said SendSMS was the best for me.
Here is a thread discussing alternatives to iStuziepro.

Try Class Buddy.

There are other suggestions in that thread.
Hi Friends!
Has Any One Tried Gear S2?
I was wondering if the Samsung Gear S2 was compatible with The Lenovo ZUK Z1.
Or if you Could atleast install the App Samsung Gear:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.app.watchmanager&hl=en
If anyone tried it, I would be highly on your debt if you would be so kind enough to share your oppinion, review or results please.
:cyclops::cyclops::cyclops:
Thanks in Advance!!
I just bought a ZUK and was shocked to see the Samsung Gear App beeing marked as incompatible. But as it turned out there ist just one extra step to perform and the Z1 and the S2 work together flawlessly (at least as far I as I tested the connection during the last 10 minutes
That is what I did:
Installed the "Gear Plugin" and the "Samsung Accessory Service" apps from playstore and downloaded the Samsung Gear App from apkpure.com. As soon as it was installed everything worked.
Regards
Andreas
Hi there,
If I understand correctly we can connect a Gear S2 with Zuk Z1, and fully compatible right ?
is my understanding correct, as I am in a process to order a Samsung Gear S2.
Thanks,
Erik
Yep fully compatible
Cool, many thanks danimarti98 for your confirmation ... I will take one
Update:
Samsung Gear S2 received, I tried to install Samsung Gear App but did not find it on the Play Store "because Not officially supported by Samsung".
Reading this thread more carefully I noticed that it needs to be installed from apkpure.com .
After having installed it all was working like a charm :good:
Thanks again

because it's lotus notes. you would be much better off with another mail client. i've been in IT for 7-8 years now, and i've never seen issues like i did when i worked for a company that used lotus notes.
