Same here. I didn't realize it was the browser doing it, but it makes sense. It doesn't bother me enough to do anything about it, but I'll check this thread. At least we have a common denominator now .

I'm currently using Chrome.
everytime i download anything.... i always get a ghost download from before.
adware did that to me last night. I don't think it's the phone though... more the app itself. I had to go into the app then uncheck the notification to get it off.
generally notifications are fine to clear, occasionally i'll get a few stuck ones but opening/closing the drop menu will unstick it and be able to clear it after.
Maybe a UI hiccup ?

I also noticed this. I thought the browser was supposed to be 2X's faster?
I'm experiencing this too. After upgrading my Desire yesterday to froyo my default web browser was slower and the scrolling and zooming is lagging. I read that it's because of flash 10.1 beta.

Im not experiencing anything like this. If anything, my phone is at its best.

Odd, i have the same problem, what is your used rom?
The stutter/lag effect I see when I have my home page mostly filled with apps. Is this impossible to reduce? It's also the same with the app list, as I scroll through apps, the frame-rate seems like super low. So they stutter across my screen.
Any good fixes?
I had this happen a few times and had to do a fresh install to get rid of it.

I don't believe it is an instal issue, it seems to occur if the screen has a good bit of widgets and apps on it.
This happens to me when scrolling sometimes, like when on tapatalk. Kinda annoying but I'll live.

It could be the launcher you are using also. I was having the same problem until I switched to the ADW Launcher EX. Its wicked smooth and worth the price IMO.

The times I had it happen it was after a fresh install with no apps installed and no widgets on the home screens. Everything would be slow and stutter a lot, I tried multiple things to try to fix it but the only thing that worked was a fresh install.
I see this issue on ALL APPS and DIFFERENT LAUNCHERS.
I cant scroll properly when using quickpic or changing screens on lauchers only does it on ICS. Running STOCK. Does not do this when I go back to gingerbread but while on ics its annoying
Can't say that I've had this issue. The only time that my touch screen acts wonky is when the charger is plugged in, then it acts very odd sometimes.

Just curious about what you mean when you say you can't scroll properly?
You mean you can't scroll at all or what?

I found Force GPU rendering to use 2D hardware acceleration in applications but it didnt change anything
its not lag that I am having. Its issues with say when swiping through pics in the gallery or quickpic where scrolling just sucks
I responded in another post by you (best GB rom or something) and asked why you wanted to change to GB.
ICS is very smooth swiping up down, left right, on any ICS rom. Not laggy at all. However I do have an issue with one app regarding sideway scrolling, but that is a UK specific app, and the dev knows about it. Quickpic scrolling is super smooth for me, and so is on Apex, Nova and my preferred choice, GoLauncher.

i mean everything is EXTREAMLY smooth. It just acts up. When moving faster it kinda acts up and glitches like going up it will sometimes go down. I know its not an issue with MY note as it does it with my AT&T version too

If I go slow everything is fine. But when going fast its very annoying, it doesnt happen on Gingerbread
Lick I can flick my finger fast sometimes and it will go SLOW as well
i hear you man..same issues here..thats why im back on the silky stock rooted gb.....same thing you say...it is smooth, but its glitchy when scrolling everywhere...noticed the same thing
one more thing, why couldnt they stick to the beautiful gb rotation animation in ics?in ics rotation is a bit choppy, you'll notice it particularly when exiting from apps from the landscape mode to the launcher( eg: mx player)...
so back on good old gb for now
The fugu tweaks mod might help you. Look for it in developing section of these boards.

I noticed that as well on ics.. It's more likely to happen if u swipe up fast using the s pen and u will see how the screen will go down to instead...

I know there are forums for other phones on this topic but I don't believe there are any for the Nexus 4.
Chrome has been absolute trash for my Nexus 4, which is stock. It lags like no other. Anyone using chrome on the nexus 4 and isn't having the same problem, as in the browser works great? I'm currently using Dolphin to resolve the issue. But why would google make chrome the default browser when it clearly isn't ready for prime time? The stock ASOP browser was much better. Comments anyone?

I am using Chrome Beta works great. Feels faster and better then the stock one. Try the beta one and see how it is for you.
I've been using Dolphin over Chrome for a while now, can't get over the fact you can't set a home page for Chrome, I know you can set a home screen shortcut, but still.
No lag here. Using regular chrome and chrome beta.
No lag for me either. The only lag I get is when the page is still loading and I'm flicking around the screen. I will admit chrome lags on other devices. Its just the raw power of this phone thats making it not lag.

I'm running stock out the box setup. I've tried chrome beta and that's even worse.
When using Chrome beta websites fail to load quite often. It will finish loading but display nothing. And it will never download anything. But using stock browser it does. What is the reason to this and is there a fix? As it is quite annoying not being able to do simple tasks like browsing the internet and downloading files

Interesting. In normal Chrome I am having problems with "black" pages and other glitchiness. I believe I was told it was a problem with Chrome on 4.4 AOSP.
