What would happen if I flashed cm7 that's for nexus s on the fascinate? Just gor fun? I wanna try it as long as it doesn't brick me or not let me into recovery..

he cant just odin back. it changes some important things. adry figured out how to fix it. its a big pain in the butt.

Seriously, instead of all the asinine comments, why not just say it won't work, and that it may brick his phone permanently? It's comments and flaming like this that make it near impossible to find helpful info in these forums. So if ur comments are not meant to help then don't post them!

guys he can i did the same thing once on my OG droid i flashed a miui update for the htc incredible on it and it really screwed a crap load of stuff up but u can fix it

This thread doesn't belong in development....and obviously gsm roms would not take on your phone

I too agree with this..
Hard brick can be resolved many have resolved via Samsung Service centre..Just fake up a story n get in.

Here in India one fake story+ innocent face + original bill does the job..
Also warranty is for free repair.(unless its a serious hardware damage)
You can still get it done without warranty just have to pay service charge..try a different service center

Returned from assistence and phone is not repaired

Hello everyone .. My nexus s not read any sim card so I took it in for service .. I come home and the problem remains the same .. I call them and tell me that the only explanation is that the phone is "SIM lock" but I read on the net that the nexus s are not blocked by the operators .. I throw my nexus?

We can't help you until you give the info we're asking for. Who did you go to? What model is your nexus? What rom are you running? "All rom" doesn't count. Rooted?
I actually have a guy in mind who can fix your phone (I think)!! I read about him in some old book, dude has a soft voice, creeps some people out with his hippy message (all that crap about peace and love!) And was a carpenter before. He's really famous, most people visit him on Sundays, he's like the clean up guy from "Michael Clayton ". I'll talk to him, if he's not busy he'll pm you.

[ADVICE] Just for x8 users

I think most of users don't know about this.
If u have hard bricked your x8,
Don't worry, you can revive it back.
You can do it via a J-tag box.
(Not by your self)
Many users think if got hard bricked, phone should be in a trash. Now you have a hope. Just find a guy who can manipulate J-tag box.

Yup. 3 threads in all. Do you have experience with jtag boxes? If you, please post a guide. if you don't, maybe post a link with a guide.
I'm sure it would help a lot of users with bricked phones and without warranty.
