Now that's how S3 should fly. Both got 1gb ram so don't say anything bout ram, i even disabled almost all Samsung bloat

I just checked my phone against that video, its as smooth as that, and as quick at opening settings and the like (on a fresh reboot so nothing was pre-loaded in memory).
I'm not sure what people are doing to get all this "lag"

Okay i'll make a youtube video in 10 min.
I'm on BTU XXDLJ4. It's as smooth as what's shown in the video. No lags. Even with live wallpapers, my phone doesn't lag!
Got to say I never felt my phone being a slouch. But since I jumped from stock ics to the latest Samsung leak, my phone flies. Didn't really debloat anything even, lots of apps and very residual lag if any. Pretty happy with it. Just replaced kernel for dual boot purposes to try out whatever's out there.

Why do people claim this? Are you claiming to have solved something all the hard working cm devs are continually confirming IS a problem?
Wish people would stop posting this rubbish. There is absolutely no denying that all of these ROMs experience a little lag once in a while.

First of all, you should have turned on a light in the room before recording!
Secondly, I do not see the big difference, sorry.
You did not do anything substabtial, you were just navigating in the Installed Apps menu in Settings... That's hardly a point of reference.
Good idea but, if you don't mind me saying, poorly executed and it does not prove anything. No offense.

Look the lag when pressing any setting. Example apps. my S2 does not. its more of a beast than the S3 i guess? Look at the first video of the titanium and when he presses settings what happens and then mine. Youll se the difference

When I take a picture and go to the gallery by clicking the picture it takes like 5 seconds to load which is slow in my opinion. Is this normal?

I also experience the very slow response from clicking on the camera gallery. Seems to be an issue with touchwiz. My other friend also recommended quickpic, but we will lose the air gesture functionality... :crying:

How is it not worth $200? It's been said to be one of the best phones out, even been said to be better than the S4. AND guess what? There is NO lag on the One. It's your opinion tho, so whatever.
About the lag, on my Note 2 it would sometimes take a second to open, is it really that bad on the S4?

I had a lag with gallery once. About a minute after, I got a notification that StoryAlbum had created a new album, even though I had not run StoryAlbum. Apparently it runs in the background sorting through your pictures. I disabled StoryAlbum and have not seen any lag since.

I was having the same issue, but after reading the system logs I saw that Gallery was making some Samsung API to spam on the logs about streaming data. There was something on the log about my media servers on my network too, like PLEX.
So my best guess is that Samsung has an app which discover and syncs media, and the Gallery uses it to show pictures on the cloud. So the problem is that this discovery app has a bug which is causing the system loop on requests.
After some hours letting the Gallery consume my battery, I went to battery info and found the app that had been doing it.
Solution: deactivate Nearby Service(AllShareMediaShare.apk). That fixed the problem.
Disabling remote content(Gallery > Menu > Content to Display[or something like that]) and syncing(Gallery settings) also made the Gallery app goes really fast!
Hey guys I think i have a bug in my recent apps, when I click the recent apps button the home screen should be transparent right? But its not I can't see anything except my wallpaper when I click recent apps, please help and if i am in need of resetting my device, will i get my apps, contacts and everything as normal back when i give my email to the phone?

Hi just went to bestbuy to test the overall performance on this tablet. Sad to say that when i tested the exynos variant, I did encounter lag when I was scrolling the home screen. What I mean is that it doesn't feel smooth. Also pulling out flipboard caused lag. Trying to run a couple of applications like s note. It's not major lag that will take away the whole experience. Just lag that you'll notice from time to time even if it's minor. What's your opinion on this and how do you feel about the exynos? Is it still going to be worth it sacrificing a bit of performance for cheaper price and getting it earlier. Should I wait for the snapdragon variant since it might be faster. But it's also going to be more expensive and I won't be needing LTE. I had really high hopes of this tablet too.

I wonder if it lags even with a third party launcher like Nova Prime or Next?
I hear touch wiz bloat is very heavy indeed.

Too many variables. How much other stuff was running in the background? Did you do all this testing after a fresh reboot? Who knows what the people before you were doing to it. And every Samsung experience running full blast does take it's toll, all those widgets updating all programs running etc. I'm just saying it's not all doom and gloom... Just tweak it.

Even in the my magazine app? I hate the stock tw launcher, I wonder how much resources it takes up
I think early technical analysis showed that the exnyos governor was not exactly optimized. I'm sure this thing will fly with the proper rom. I rommed my note 2 and last year's 10.1 when I felt lag was hindering the experience and both were super fluid after modification. Samsung uses good parts. Tw just tends to be bloated.

I went to BestBuy and put ios7 on it with ilauncher it was so smooth. Alsoi seem very minor lag on this device. I played why it for 30minutes and it was flying. I saw lag at first but then realized over 20 apps were in the background. Closed them all, cleared ram and it was buttery smooth. The Tech at best buy were going crazy over this thing saying it is the best tablet they have seen thus far.

As well they should. I've always wanted a tablet but I would go into Best Buy and play around with them and just walk away saying 'nope' The specs were getting closer to what I wanted but with this, Samsung hit a home run. Pricey but you get what you pay for. :good:

Totally agree on that. All android tablet has come so close. When I saw the 1st gen of the note 10.1 I thought it was the one for me. But with the screen resolution, it was a big let down for me. This year this is the one. Only thing that's stopping me now is the performance.

I may not be as tech savvy as many of you, but I just got this tablet and the performance is amazing. I have 12 active apps running and I don't notice any lag navigating the menus. I've been working in dropsync and synced a whole bunch of files while messing around with it and still noticed no lag whatsoever. I did notice that it gets a bit warm on the back though.

I noticed some lag in windows transistions. So what I've done is turn on developer options and changed transition animation scale from 1x to off. Feels much faster. For example, instead of xda kind of sputtering to life when initiated, it just pops up immediately.
