Thinking about getting the SHIFT

Quick question tho, is there anyway i can use it as a phone? because i heard u can put ur sim card in the phone, and from pix, ive seen that there is SMS...so i was just wondering, since there is SMS, is there a way to use it as a phone?

No. The Shift won't make ANY sort of phone call. At least , not for now.
Maybe, in a very distant future, maybe tomorrow.... bit for now, no way to call with it.
Unless.... you don't mind using VOIP over HSDPA , you can then actually call half the world for free with your Voip Client on VIsta..

lost/theft phone locator ?

Hi,
I wanted to check that is there a good software incase of phone lost/theft that could send sms to a other number or one could locate it's phone by GPS ?

kaspersky mobile security is at the moment the best one but still it's costly..free one is guardmobile

But I find that it costs about 10 dollars or are we talking about the same thing ?

only thing I cant seem to figure out is that how after Sim change it can still work as it is controlled via sms from another phone.. but they say it does..

I installed it and it works very good.
If the "finder" of the phone changes the SIM-card the software still waits in the background for your steering-sms. This is not affected by another SIM.

htc hd2 calling

hi all,
I have a hd2 and a big problem!! My phone wont make a call to anyone anymore i had the phone for like 1 year now and it used to be OK , but now i cant make a call or receive a call but i can text to people and receive text any suggestions ??

Have you changed radio or Rom lately?
Have you checked to see if you might need another SIM card?
Last but not least, have you payed your bill? The last one is more of a joke then a real question.

I have the latest radio rom and i checked my sim on my other phone and it works.
But anyway i fixed it . All I had to do is use the leoimg file and master reset the phone and it works. So what ever was bugging my phone is gone. Thx anyways

Nexus 7 3G Comunications

Hello everyone !
I search this forum for the awnser to my question but can´t find it.
I´m thinking in buyng the Nexus 7 3G, but first i have a question.
After i buying the 3G version, put a SIM card in it, i can install a ROM or something like that to send messages and do phone calls like a normal phone ? i know that you are saying, if you wanna make phone calls and send sms buy a phone! but i need a tablet , and just wanna know if it´s possible

UK Nexus 7 questions - regarding call and text

Firstly apologies but can anyone help me out before buying.
I was looking into a n7 3g because of the portable factor, however, would I be able to use my giffgaff microsim and use that to receive and send text?. I understand gosms would be possible however, I like to be sure before buying.
Also, is making or receiving phone calls impossible without an android phone to pair up with?, I hear about tablet sms doing this.
