Gmail and Google play crash at start - Galaxy S III General

Hello,
I traveled to Jordan and used their local SIM card (zain).
After one or 2 days started my phone acting strangely. I can't open my gmail and Google play. I didn't tried other apps if they got same issues. However when I restart my phone I got couple of messages telling net that gmail stopped working. Also some processes too, like com.Google.xxxxx. I also tried to reset the gmail and Google play cashes hoping solving the problem but it doesn't.
Can someone help?

You might have used your backup app to restore some core services/system data.
This is only happen to me when I restore all system data with titaniumbackup.

Google has some problems recently, might be linked to that?

I had the same issue yesterday. Some update application did this. I had to erase and reinstall everything again in order to fix the crash.

Try signing out of Google then back in.

google account not synching

on my nexus 7 my gmail is only syncing when I click sync in the app and I can't log into google talk, anyone know what causes this/ how to work around it? I tried removing and re-adding the account, and droping all syncing and rebooting then re-adding. would prefer to avoid a hard reset if able as it took forever to install all the apps on it.
tried removing auto sync from data tab and restarting and re-enabling no dice... thinking I may be stuck with a reset... boo
Reset did nothing...

Yep, and I also tried toggeling the sync part of the power bar widget, and the auto sync piece under the data setting.
Odd. That sucks. Hope you fix it.

Google Contact constantly trying to Sync

Hi All,
I've just noticed on my Nexus 4 that it's constantly trying to sync google contact, I've check my Note2 and my Desire and all of them seem to be having the same issue.
Is anyone else having issues with their google contacts constantly syncing?
I've tried force closing contacts and clearing the data, then removing my accounts and re-set them up. However the issue persists!
Any help would be great.
Cheers
DK
It could be a Google server issue, how long have you been suffering this problem?

It's been happening for a day.

Did you try removing your Google account and then adding it again.
Try to only sync the contacts and calendar separately to see where the problem is

stop sync contract can't work?

Yeah I've tried removing the accounts then adding them back but the issue persists.
I've tried to sync only the contacts and sync is still constantly trying to sync the contacts.

I'm not trying to stop sync, my issue is contacts sync is constantly try to sync without success. The last sync was one day ago.
So if I check my Google account under sync everything says it synced within the last 1 hour. But contacts says it's trying I.E, the sync icon is next to my contacts constantly with a date of last sync from one day ago.

I had the same issue as well and it seems there are many with the same problem. I think might be some bug and hopefully it will be solved by the next OTA
I've manage to resolve the issue by force closing and clearing data on: Contacts, Contacts Storage and Google+. I have not resigned into Google+ and everything has been syncing for about half a day now. I'll keep you posted if it works.

Google play store can't download apps

Hello,
My play store gave me an error to retrive from the server, so I uninstalled updates and cleared cache and it didn't worked afterwards.
What do I do?
Edit: when it tries to sync with my Google account, it shows "Request Permission" in the notifications, and when I click it, the Google account manager crashes, so I cleared data, force stopped and cleared cache and no luck. What do I do?!?! I'm stuck with an outdated, not working play store!!

1. Make sure you haven't only deleted the cache but also the data of Play
2. Clear the data of Google Services Framework
3. Remove and re-add your Google account
4. Reflash your system partition and/or do a factory reset

Having the same issue and obviously reflashing is out of the question. What are the consequences of removing my account and readding? Do I lose my apps? Do I have to add my account back in gmail, etc...?

You won't lose any apps. After adding, using the settings menu, I think you just need to sync things again, so it won't be a problem.
I simply removed and added back in my Google account.
Don't forget to reconfigure what gets synced with your Google account afterwards.

Yes the same details....you are not closing account just delete from n7,then restart then reset up account details.
This may/may not work
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
Nope It didn't help.I'm still unable to install anything...
Just wait some time google services are not synced properly. For me after flashing it takes some time before my google services are sync then i use them normally. If it wont work then removing and adding account might work if not then u need a factory reset.

Gapps won't connect to any Google account

This problem happens for me a lot, soundly the YouTube app starts say there is a problem with the network and if I open the Google play app it says no connection and nothing changes if I reload. If I remove my account and add it again or a different account the same problem happens. I restored my phone several times because of this and I does solve it but after a week or two it happens again

I think it's a gapps issue, try using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012857, BANKS gapps are pretty good I never faced any issues but also use google search next time...its easier instead of waiting for someone to answer plus provide more details or search for ur exact error
