Last night I updated my older version of N7 to android 4.4.But when I tried to install any program from google play,I was unable to do it,it just won't start at all...I dunno what is the problem and what should I do to revert back everything to normal, previously I managed to install anything on 4.3.
I heard about this sometimes ago, some said deleting account from settings shut down, restart then redo setting account.

Nope It didn't help.I'm still unable to install anything...
Just wait some time google services are not synced properly. For me after flashing it takes some time before my google services are sync then i use them normally. If it wont work then removing and adding account might work if not then u need a factory reset.
Please ignore my spelling mistakes. English is not my native language.

I've searched and searched and nothing has worked. I can't wipe.
I don't know how u mean, but if you'd like to unbind your phone from your account you have to go to Settings->Acc & sync->[Choose your account]->Remove. The other thing is to completely delete your account, to do this go to https://www.google.com/accounts/ManageAccount, click Edit and select Close account and delete all services and info associated with it, comfirm it and you deleted your account

i looked in my google voice account and theres no such options as to the first method that you suggested....
Could you be a little more specific on what you are trying to do? Do you not want to have any google account on your phone? Are you wanting to switch to a different google account? Are you trying to delete your gmail account completely?
i know what you are trying to do. You are trying to remove the google account you associated your phone with right? Well, unfortunately you cannot do that. You would need to reflash the ROM to be able to do so.
Refpashing is a bit brutal. A hard reset should be enough.

Or you goto manage applications and reset defaults for all google apps...

You could also grab Android ID changer and change your ID (Google account associated with your current ROM). Then, you could switch back and forth. *shrugs*...
Factory Reset is the safest way. Changing ID can invalidate all your apps and bugger it up, plus you can't use ID changer if your phone is NANDLOCKED.
I spent a lot of research on this, there is just too much data that needs to be changed to simply switch your primary Google authentication account. Make your backups then Factory Reset, just as the Sync settings suggests.

But its faster just to reset the accounts and not have to redownload all the apps, resync facebook and whatever else is going on...
Uhuh... and how exactly does one get around the message saying you cannot delete the default Google account? Once you sign in to Google on firstboot for market, the phone is locked to that Market account.
As for redownloading all your apps, I take it you've never used Titanium Backup or MyBackup Pro. Note that if you buy something on Market, you cannot transfer that purchase to another Gmail account.

You're not deleting the account..you're just clearing data and defaults for the app..I've used TB and did forget to note that in my post..so thanks..as for MyBackup Pro I haven't..if you're rooted can't you still move purchased apks to the sdcard?

You mean going to "Accounts and Sync" in TB > Wipe Data? I did that, but it resulted in FC's whenever trying to go back to add a new account. The Google Account ID assigned to the phone is a lot more tied-in than simple appdata, I even did a full find/replace on com.android.* databases and the best I got was annoying "Authentication failed" errors on startup, and Market, Gtalk, etc. All had FC's.
The .android_secure folder on SD cannot be hotswapped between phones, they need to be re-registered in the package registry... which TB handles mostly perfectly. Some paid apps do fail authentication checks after a TB restore though due to custom fingerprinting it seems, and have to be "revalidated" via Market install. One example that comes to mind is Flow (Facebook client) and Executive Assistant+.

How old is that? I don't have "Gmail" nor "Google Apps" installed. The manual database method mentioned is what I did, resulting in corruption (the account was still there but I got 'Authentication Failed' from Market on startup). Risky. But good luck....

on my nexus 7 my gmail is only syncing when I click sync in the app and I can't log into google talk, anyone know what causes this/ how to work around it? I tried removing and re-adding the account, and droping all syncing and rebooting then re-adding. would prefer to avoid a hard reset if able as it took forever to install all the apps on it.
tried removing auto sync from data tab and restarting and re-enabling no dice... thinking I may be stuck with a reset... boo
Reset did nothing...

a complete factory reset and still nothing is auto syncing and I can't even sign into talk any one have any thoughts at all?

Yep, and I also tried toggeling the sync part of the power bar widget, and the auto sync piece under the data setting.
Odd. That sucks. Hope you fix it.

you dont need to remove your account btw. just select the account. uncheck all, then re-check what you want. it "unjams" it.
the sync gets stuck sometimes because you lose your network as it's trying to communicate.

Sync error
I know that sync error sign! Been on my phone ever since I have rooted my phone Plz help me out someone because none of my Google applications are working! Not even my play store! What I used to do before is take a nandroid backup everyday as the tile in the quick settings used to stay white! But sometimes it jus stays orange and doesn't turn to white! Plz help
i deleted my account info and did factory reset on the nexus 4 phone itself. however, on my google account, it still shows that i have a nexus 4. is there any way to dissociate it with my google account just in case the new owner of the phone wants to try some social engineering to get my account? since buyer does have the phone, it's possible since my google accounts such as checkout and google play showed that the nexus 4 is mine and i've made purchases with it and i can't unregister it. i just want to be safe.
I believe you can call Google and have the imei and warranty moved under the buyer's name in their system. Would that be enough?
Try manage devices in account at play store ? I renamed my devices recently not sure about removing them

Yeah, I think you are going to have to resort to calling them. According to the following page, it is not possible to delete it from your account, but you can hide it (which would be convenient, but doesn't address the issue you are concerned about).

It takes a looooong time for a phone to vanish from your Google Play account, but as long as you've wiped it they're no longer linked.

Factory reset from the Settings, that wipes everything (internal storage).

if you want to delete everything you have to reflash stock google build using fastboot, this will delete all user files and install the factory recovery(that's if you changed it).
Why are you worried about the phone showing up in your play store account? if the phone isnt set up using your gmail account it will not have access to any of your info and you will not be able to control anything on the phone from the play store website.
Hello,
My play store gave me an error to retrive from the server, so I uninstalled updates and cleared cache and it didn't worked afterwards.
What do I do?
Edit: when it tries to sync with my Google account, it shows "Request Permission" in the notifications, and when I click it, the Google account manager crashes, so I cleared data, force stopped and cleared cache and no luck. What do I do?!?! I'm stuck with an outdated, not working play store!!
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
1. Make sure you haven't only deleted the cache but also the data of Play
2. Clear the data of Google Services Framework
3. Remove and re-add your Google account
4. Reflash your system partition and/or do a factory reset

Having the same issue and obviously reflashing is out of the question. What are the consequences of removing my account and readding? Do I lose my apps? Do I have to add my account back in gmail, etc...?

You won't lose any apps. After adding, using the settings menu, I think you just need to sync things again, so it won't be a problem.
I simply removed and added back in my Google account.
Don't forget to reconfigure what gets synced with your Google account afterwards.
