Hello all,
I've been having problems with slow scrolling speeds and having difficulty swiping to the next page (everywhere; launcher, ereader, currents...).
I was wondering if there is any way to fix this? Like a touch calibriation of sorts?

I had the same problem with motley kernel. Try a different kernel and your problem will be solved.

+1 for jr5, works great for a rom based on stock with the right extras added in.

Quick question, which kernels are you fellow XDA users insaling on the N7 with the stock android? That gives you best performance and battery life? Also which 4.2.1 Roms do you prefer? I just got my N7 so i didn;t have time to test everything. I'd like to get a popular opinion on this :victory:
Mkernel+ kernel and as far as roms I'm waiting for paranoid android 3.0

You can use trickster mod (available in the play store) to tweak the kernel. TapaTalk HD is currently in beta. You can dpfindnit on the tapatalk forums.

I've rooted and flashed to a custom kernel on 4.2. Will it be the same process (flash to stock before updating from 4.1.2 to 4.2) if I want to upgrade to 4.2.1?

Yep, it will be the same process! Just make sure you have custom recovery.
I'm loving Stock 4.2.1 with M-Kernel running 51Mhz-1500Mhz, with GPU max 660 with zRAM, and smart dimmer.
Great battery life and very smooth.
I have used trinity, Franco and there isn't much to compare.

I'm going to hijack this thread
With M-kernel do you notice weak game performace? Or it just don't seem to be any difference from stock?

Can't say I spent much time on stock kernel tbh
All games I play run fairly smooth but then none are that demanding to start with.

Hello all. First post. I am rooted and running trinity kernel. I wanted to make my first post in the trinity development thread as I tried all the kernels for 4.2 and like it the best. The performance and battery life even without oc is amazing. Could someone thank the Dev of this kernel for me.
Thanks.

For some reason I can't get color profiles to work on any 4.3 roms? Has anyone gotten it to work? Thanks in advance

Are you using franco.Kernel? If that's the case, which version? The current r173 nightly is only for JWR66V (the OTA). It won't work properly with any current ROM.
Hello guys,
Iam new to the Nexus 4 forums. I have experience with other phones with flashing etc. I have a couple of questions:
I flash a kernel(zip) after I flash a ROM. That seems to me the right way. The flashing seems going right but after restarting the phone somewhat stutters, its no lag or something like that.
Iam running PA with now the regular kernel but when I flash Franco or Neo kernel it happens.
Anybody a idea what i am doing wrong?

For PA use jwr kernels. Not jss. Neo and Franco both have two versions. Jss and jwr.

There's also this zip which allows Jss kernels to be used in jwr roms.
