I had been using a Mytouch 4g running 4.1.1 and the bluetooth audio and phone synced up automatically and flawlessly whenever I got in the car and started the engine. Now with the Nexus 4 I have to turn the bluetooth on and off and uncheck the phone audio and media audio boxes and recheck them until my car's bluetooth will finally see it and connect. Is there a different setting on 4.2.1 that I'm missing that fixes this or is it a 4.2.1 bug?
Anyone else having this pairing issue?

I just got nexus 4 and it has problem connecting to bluetooth speaker. The first time connecting to the speaker, it's flawless. However, the next time that I connect to the speaker, it would play music for 3-4 seconds before muting. Nothing that I do would fix the problem. I would have to reboot the nexus, then the cycle repeats itself.
I'm using stock nexus, rooted and running Franco kernel r15. I've read around that Android 4.2 has been having problem with bluetooth connectivity (especially in Nexus 7). Is this a known problem for nexus 4? If it is, I hope Google will fix it soon. Does anyone experiencing the same problem?
I have no issues with N7 on bluetooth audio in my truck (a2dp) and N4 with both A2DP and hf simultaneously. But I haven't modded it.
Guys, today i had a very strange problem. My Nexus 4 on JB 4.2.2 (Rooted)
Suddenly my Bluetooth audio streaming is not working correctly. It's paired with my audio devices (Tested on Belkin AirCast, Car Player, Logitech H800 Headset) but the audio play via the devices, but from the phone speaker itself.
I have factory reset the phone but doesn't help. At last, i have to use the Nexus Tool Kit to flash the Stock ROM + Unroot. Then only the Bluetooth working correct again.
Anyone has this problem before?
I'm having issues with my car's bluetooth connection and my S4. They pair ok, but after about 10 seconds, the Call Audio checkbox in the bluetooth settings on the phone unchecks itself. I have the OEM bluetooth adapter for my Nissan 350Z which is a pretty basic affair - no address book downloading or media audio, just call audio.
I vaguely remembering having a similar issue a couple of years ago with my Galaxy S2 but everything I've tried so far doesn't appear to have helped...
Maybe someone else has had a similar issue and found a workaround?
When I start my car the bluetooth connects to the stereo for phone audio but it won't remember my setting to connect to media audio. I have to manually go into the settings every time and check the media audio button. I am using a rooted stock rom and have an i9500 and I also had the problem before rooting. I know it isn't my stereo because my previous phone (Galaxy Nexus) worked just fine. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be done to fix this other than Samsung putting out a fix for it?
Hi, I recently got a GS4 (and i was trying to use bluetooth to play music to my Infiniti G37 2012. The phone portion will sync but the media will not connect (the button will not check off in settings). Before this I had a GS3 and it always worked. Anybody have a fix for the bluetooth issues? Currently stock but will root shortly or if necessary for a fix.
Thanks
