Hi
Thank you for reading this. I appreciate every suggestion you give.
I know there was a post discussing the exact same problem, but I'm discussing a possible repair/replacement on my own.
----Here is the issue-------
To put it simple, the screen tone flicks between slight pink and slight green.
I think what happened is, the screen generally stays in a normal tone which is slightly pink tinted(which is very fine and comfortable), then at some point, the brightness of red pixels have a sudden drop so the screen turns to a greenish hue. The green hue would not stay for long, for 5 second to a minute it would change back to the normal tone.
It's very slight, and sometimes it's hard to notice especially when the brightness is high. But at night this could be really an issue. It is really distracting at night!
There is no way to reproduce the problem, it just happens randomly, and could be as frequently as every other 6 seconds.

------Question-------
Now, my note does not have a warranty, and the problem comes out of the box. I heard Samsung charges about US$270 here for replacement. Well, a new note just cost about $450. Now I'm a high school student without lots of money so I want to fix it myself.
Possibilities I found:
1. Super AMOLED issue, which can be fixed by a screen replacement
2. a poor contact between screen and the board
3. The wacom layer interferes with the screen, which need to replace the whole screen assembly
4. A bad motherboard
Any idea about how to fix it? Thanks!

The screen on my Atom shakes in bright light. It's almost like there's two of the same lines and one of them is moving up and down maybe 1 mm or so. Has anybody else got that problem? It only happens in bright light, and it doesn't have anything to do with the veiewing angle, so it's not a trick of the light. The screen actually shakes! Oh, and it has done that on all the four (I think four) ROM's I have tried: The original it came with, the leaked ROM, the "Not for sale" ROM and the latest official ROM.
Er.. I have experience similiar problem too.. not with PDA screen, but with certain pattern (e.g. diagonal lines). As far as I know, it is my own eyes that is causing the problem. Before you go around finding answer for your PDA, try asking another person (the more the better), to look at your screen under the same condition, see if the person can see the same thing or not
If it is the screen problem, probably because it is a transflective screen? You are seeing the image of the reflective mirror at the back together with the actual LCD screen?
It would be a good idea, but my wife has seen it too, and this is my fourth or fifth PDA. They have all had the same or similar themes, and neither of the other units has had this problem. It's specially visible on the home screen, with the small writing for appointments and stuff. But this gave me an idea: I will try to change to one of the standard O2 themes and see if that changes anything!

A have the same problem. Not often, but looks like you discribe, but it doesn't depend of light. Usially its several seconds long, and after that it becomes stable. I think its hardware problem. As I know some people have prodlem with pitch noise of the screen.
screen flicker and sound
Have the same occurence with the flickering screen(thought something was wrong with my eyes, as well as the high pitched sound coming from the screen everytime i turn the unit on. i don't really mind the screen but anyone got any solution to the sound?
Shaky Screen
Well I have this problem too with my Atom. I think it has to do with the transreflective screen--mainly a hardware problem with the direct sunlight messing with the screen. As far as I know it doesn't hurt it or damage the screen. It just makes it annoying to use the Today screen or the Wireless manager in direct sunlight. (I got this info by doing a search for the screen, try 'TFT' or 'screen problems.')
As far as I know there is nothing you can do about it.
Also with the high pitched noise--mine has finally gone away, or my hearing has just gotten worse and I've lost the ability to hear a sound at that high of a pitch.
I hope this helps!
I see... I hope mine goes away too  I can leave with the flickering screen but the noise is just plain annoying :?
Just my expenrience.
I have read and tried the overclocking thing on my Charmer. And I've noticed that, if I were to underclock the unit approx 110MHz, the screen will flicker under the bright day light. I'm not sure if you can overclock your Atom (e.g. is it OMAP processor? Do a search before attempting anything, it may kill your unit). Maybe you can solve the problem overclocking it?
Well this could be really e serious problem:
using my X7500 I noticed the display light level decreasing a little bit. I supposed it could be a wrong impression of mine. So I tried to push the upper side of metal case and I noticed the light coming up. Then I made a little pression on the same edge (near HTC brand as well the lower opposite side) and the light decreased again.
I assume there must be a problem with led position under metal cover. It's eneogh a little pression to have problem with light display. Maybe it could depend on "shock" due to the keyboard hook-up that could damage led connector inside...
Please help and tell me if you have noticed same problem...
Please any suggestions for this problem?

Tried the suggestion you made but no problems here either asci. Maybe your unit is faulty. Try returning it due to electrical shortage or something similar. It certainly does not sound normal.

Yeah, tried that - absolutely nothing happening.
I turned it back to assistence...it seems to be an isolated case, and they could tell me when I'll have it back.
HTC customer care: bad assistence:
1. they didn't solve my problem yet;
2. they didn't answer to my mail.
I purchased an HTC X7500 on 21.05.2007. After two days it immediately showed some problems related to LCD display. In fact on making a light pressure all around display metal case, especially near the hardware buttons on left side, the LCD background light became weak as it loosed brightness.
I brought it immediately to a technical customer care for reparation. After two weeks it returned back but the problem related to display brightness still persist.
1. The backlight is weak and display is not so bright and not stable too as the very first time I tested it. Now when I connect 4 in 1 cable or mini USB one, and some time even when a set stylus in its lodging, by doing some little movement of the cables connected or of the stylus in its lodging, the backlight display increases to its normal brightness level for while after that it turns itself weak so that display colors appear not vivid and with a lack of brightness. Before testing it I verified that all backlight levels were set on maximum level with any power option.
2. When I browse through menu icons and select them (without launching application) their appearance is not stable and it seem to flicker.
3. If I set a white background on display it seems to be completely crossed by horizontal stripes and its appearance (color and brightness) is poor.
So today I had to come back to HTC customer care point to leave it for the second time in twenty day.
I would like to point out that I am a professional user and I’m really disappointed about it. I had to bring my device to a technical assistance point twice and the first time, I had it back not repaired.
Considering that, and also considering its high price and that it came with original unmistakable manufacturing faults, I am asking to HTC for a replacement of the device with another X7500 perfectly working.
Best Regards.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out. I hope HTC doesn't become so big that they stop listening and taking care of their customer. I would hate to look for another high end phone manufacturer.
Arrived today...replaced.

I have the same problem and I don't find any solution.
A third of my bottom half of the screen is flickering on low brighness. I tried everything I could find, no luck fixing it.
I know this may not be much help, but this is actually a pretty common issue sadly. The cause is most likey the AMOLED screen which could have a tiny scratch or a wire not connecting properly (pretty much a vast array of issues that it could be).
Pretty sure it is a AMOLED problem... maybe a tiny crack from normal everyday abuse the phone goes through.
The phone is approaching its 4th Birthday so no surprises there.
Sooo, was wondering if anyone else has come accross an issue like this. I received my LG G6 yesterday, brand new out of the box. While watching the Stranger Things title sequence on Netflix last night in a dark room with brightness turned close to max, I couldn't help but notice a red "smudge" like artifact on the screen (see picture). Strangely enough, the smudge almost goes completely away when applying pressure to the screen above it, and becomes very much more visible when applying pressure to the screen below it. Also, it only seems to be visible on a black background with the brightness ramped up above 65%, and disappears completely with any other color. So strange..
I remember back when the iPhone 4 came out, there were complaints of a yellow smudge on the display of many units. Apple mentioned that it was caused by some sort of bonding agent used during assembly of the phones that had not yet fully dried, and that it would go away after a few days. I wonder if this is also being caused by something like that, and if I should wait, or just ask for a replacement ASAP. Thoughts?

Replace it
Hi, everyone. I'm new on XDA. I need some help to fix issues on my phone. So long story short, I dropped my 9T and had the the screen replaced. However, the replacement screen has a very weird green tint on most brightness level, which from what I have researched, only appears on 9T with overclocked screen. Mine is not overclocked. The green tint only disappear at either under 10% brightness level or above 80%. However, I am very sure this is software problem because (1) the green tint disappear when the fingerprint sensor is touched (when it lights up) on the lockscreen, and if I release the fingerprint, before it unlocks, the tint disappear. It become normal. This in on MIUI
(2) on AOSP (I have unlocked the bootloader and tried different custom roms but yield no result) the same behaviour occured. When fingerpirnt is touched on low brightness, tint disappear.
Then I also have this touch problem where practically, if I touch 2 points on the screen which is close, the screen will register my touch as a small swipe. This is really annoying when typing, and I cannot play some rhytm games too because of this. Again, I am quite confident that this is software problem.
Similar problem happened years ago on a OnePlus One phone. Some said it was resolved after an update. Some said OnePlus has fixed it. Others doesn't experience it at all : https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/help/faulty-touch-screen-typing-fast-t2829175
Maybe the default driver from XIaomi isn't compatible with my replacement screen? Or other problems?
I have actually claimed the repair warranty once, because the previous screen also had this problem, plus a blue colour on the side. But the same thing happened here (the green tint and touch problem)
Ps : I am confident the AMOLED panel of the replacement screen is original or at least of the same quality as the original beacuse the colour is very vibrant just like the original one.
Can someone help me with this issue? I am willing to provide any logs or system info or anything.
Thank you! Any help or response is appreciated!!

Please go to the place who replaced the device and ask them to check the screen in another device or ask them to clean the contacts with 99% isopropanol and re attach it.
Hello! I'm having the exact same problem on my Mi A3 - green tinted screen + faulty touchscreen after replacing it, all in the same conditions as yours. What did you do? Did you manage to fix your screen? I'm guessing your solution is probably adequate for me too!
If anyone could help me out with this issue, it'd be really nice! In the store, they replaced my screen 3 times already (the last time, it was supposedly an "original screen", more expensive and harder to get) and the problem still remains... I'm getting desperate over this!
