more info?
or do you expect us to find out everything?

Partition size,native sd,magldr,clk...?
Provide some info!!!!!!!!!!!!

guys the link provided in the OP is taken from this website http://miuiandroid.com/community/threads/2-12-7.18948/. Our device code is passion. This rom is being updated regularly every Friday and this is the first week HD2 got JB 4.1.2. Rom does have option for NativeSD. I do not know how much system partition size is required if you don't wanna flash gapps but with gapps you need at least 300mb system partition and 7mb cache.

It boots but android stops working

nice work will try

thats all fine and dandy
but since it isnt even the OPs rom
and im gonna bet he doesnt have permission to post it on xda
then it should not be posted here in the dev section

For the info it's a Magldr build.

ClockworkMod Recovery and Modaco's "Paul's Rom

Has anybody TRY flashing Modaco's "Paul's Rom" after ClockworkMod Recovery ? Do we have a green light to do so, or should we wait for further instructions ?
Thank you all.
I am not sure if this is safe yet since it is a different region. Wait until someone confirms though.

he posted the download in the vibrant forum they have over there.. i'll test it
I'm actually a Modaco add-free member from my nexus one days but I don't see a " U.S Vibrant " section, he does how ever has a GalaxyS, I wonder if we good, I think paul is out for the weekend but I have a feeling we good to go..
Where is there a Vibrant forum? I only see a Galaxy S one on his site.

but i downloaded it and am gonna try it..
i'll look and see if i can figure out where it was
This is a holding topic for discussion of ROM compatability with the Samsung Vibrant / Captivate devices (Galaxy S variants).
I don't see any major reason why ROMs wouldn't be compatible, but I guess we'll find out soon enough. I may look into picking up a Vibrant so I can test future ROM releases on it.
Anyone have anything to add?

Seems kinda like the one from MS_guru.. except a little more stable
i haven't been getting all the random reboots that are on ms_gurus, it still is buggy when you plug it into the computer (goes to the MTP Application.. ugh), wifi is working well (except rom manager still won't let me flash recovery through there because it says the wifi isn't stable enough or something), its pretty fast but i'd rather a stock rom than this
i noticed on that page i linked you guys to that they had a link for a download to a stockrom2.1.zip.. i'm going to test that one out as well
I am at work waiting for the word that its a go cause this stock build is killing me! Keep us posted!

Looks like Ryanolson7 has already gotten past that issue.. should work but I too will wait to hear
Made a backup in the mean while using nandroid and bought the premium version of Rom Manager to support Koush.

If you have Recovery installed "update.zip" you don't have keep going back to rom manager and worry about "wi-fi" issues any more because is already installed in your system, just download quick boot from the market, allow su permision, reboot in recovery click reinstall packages and in 1 second you there...
The stock rom on that site is MS_gurus, not the real tmobile stock

well that was a .zip of pauls rom that was themed as stock android.. i got the other one to boot called 'GalaxysDeodexed'.. still isn't stock quality though
do you guys know if we can flash his nandroid to our phones so we can have stock? if so, rsface, you should upload your nandroid somewhere and link us to it.. if you're willing to.. because the 'stock' roms out there are crap.. not even close to stock.

data2system

hello all
i just created interesting thing
as you know system partition is bigger than data.
custom firmwares is small enough to move it to userdata partition
so we can get 245 mb for userdata!
here is my post on 4pda: tinyurl . com / data2sys
setup via cwm recovery 2518 backup and restore -> restore
note: there no way to apply update.zip to firmware, as system partition realy contains userdata
nobody interested?
this thing realy works! i've got 245 Mb for your data without app2sd!
there are 3 links in my post on 4pda representing ready to restore recovery images with 3 different firmwares:
2.3.2v1.4b by Mur4ik+gapps
2.1 + kernel 0.3.1 by Quarx
2.2.1 OpenSwift 4.4 kernel 1.5
Well can you post the links? Prefably separately.
Do you have problems with data cashe? If you use whole memory for apps, where cashe will be stored?

Hi all..
I just want to say that this mod is working very well, no problem whatsoever. Now I still have around 100 MB free space in my phone (around 100 user apps, only games are moved to SD )

Hello i just see this post lol man change it to developers threads.
Is there a posibility you can do this for superfast froyo?
I've always had problems with Mur4ik versions i find them not reliable, after sometime it starts to lag and is not stable also has bugs like the battery one.
Congrats for your good work!
Maybe i give this a try someday.

Mur4ik released 1.9 of Swiftdroid
Can you update?
And one question: How can I flash this? Like a new Rom via Recovery?
GOOD WORK
You can flash it by:
1. Unzip catalog with this files: system.img, data.img
2. Paste this catalog to ->Clockworkmod->Backup
3. Go to recovery.
4. Search Restore option and click on it.

[INFO] Flashable Google Wallet v0.5

I have decided to move my download links to ACS forum as that is my new home! Hope to see you guys over there for the download!
http://www.forums.acsyndicate.net/showthread.php/3240-DEV-Flashable-Google-Wallet-v0.5?p=13712
Hey guys,
I just saw a high demand for keeping the current ROM you are on and being able to get google wallet on your device. I looked through the update and pulled the files ( apks, libs, certs..etc ) I felt might be necessary for google wallet to work on our devices. If you want to test this zip file you are doing so at your own risk, i only have it wiping the dalvik cache but i have tested it on CM 125 and 126 and seems to be working fine.
as always
DO A BACKUP OF YOUR CURRENT SYSTEM BEFORE FLASHING THIS VIA RECOVERY
I am no responsible for anything that happens from this flashable zip
so here is a v0.8 posted by nauckwj...
he figured out a way to get the new r33 version working on nexus s for other carriers ( tmobile tested )
takes a little more work as you have to delete a line out of your etc/hosts file, but at least its working and lets you add a card!
nauckwj said:
Finally!
Got this (more recent) version of Wallet working on TMobile Nexus S.
If you remove 127.0.0 1 www.google-analytics.com from your /etc/hosts file (normally done via AdBlocker-Hosts) then you MIGHT be able to get your CitiBank card to work too. I did.
This fix removes the carrier/handset restrictions that force it to only work on Sprint NS4G.
Try it and let me know if it works for you

they'd have to come out with updates for any phone that they want to have run the wallet app. its a bit more complicated than an apk unfortunately... there are library files and I think they also modified the framework to support the wallet app, but im still looking into that right now

Naa. They try to leave the apps out of the gapps package. They have the packman app in the gapps to give you a straight link to the soups you need
in the market. They do it like this for legal reasons.

yeah there is only 694 files in the framework-res of the 2.3.7 update while there are 718 files in the 2.3.5 version of framework-res... it may not even be possible to make a flashable version of this without making it specific to each rom because of this...
Im willing to test this when you think you have got it working.

Mike's ICS ROM

Before I say anything, I know this is probably in the wrong place, but it wouldnt let me post in the development forums because of my low post count, I also know this ROM is in a pre-alpha stage and will have many broken features and bugs, this is not what I am asking about.
I just want to know if anyone knows how big the ROM is, I want to try it out to see what it could be like, the download is 167MB, but is that how big the installed rom is? I have resized partitions in my flash memory, therefore if its bigger than 150MB I will need to resize again.
Also (I know basic question) will I still beable to boot to CWM to restore a nandroid backup of Swiftdroid? I know that atleast Wifi and GSM dont work, as long as the info on Mike's web page is up to date, this alone will mean I will need to roll back after I have had a look around, so a nandroid backup will be the best way.
I only ask the last question because I have only used swiftdroid so I need to make sure.
the download contain the recovery version and fastboot version in the one zip the system is about 140MB
Thanks, my system partition is just big enough, do you have any sugestions on a reasonable size for my system partition? Mainly for when more is working and I upgrade perminantly 10MB isnt enough for any updates imo.

I dont get any rebooting on my phone, and barely any force closes except things confirmed not to work.
If you have resized system and data partitions, I changed my system partition to 170MB because there is alot to come to the rom and it could get alot bigger, I can always lower it if needed.

how do you partition the system to 180MB? I also have the same problem of restarting .. however there are problems with the keyboard and I found the official ICS only by the number of posts I am unable to post it on the official post .. so if anyone wants to take this job I can ask in PM the link (because of the number of posts I'm not insert link) (PS: this keyboard would solve many problems; D)

Will be interesting to see how this goes. The hardware is very similar. Do they both use the same Wolfson DAC?

So basically, we can keep shrinking the size by deleting bloatware and unwanted apps, right? Or that's the minimum size?

Yeap, they have.
Wow, such a great job dude! You've made all of the 1GB-ram-only-outdated-device users day.
I want so badly samsung to see your port, let them know XDA community "never settle".
Keep fingers crossed, let us inform about any improvements.
Cheers!
Awesome work brooo...

So sir we wait u hope u successful in everything porting kk & boot from nand not sd card wish you successfully. .
As i stated before no need for sdcard as my kk build is NAND compatible. I do not port a rom if it can work only from sdcard. This rom is stock debloated Note 2 firmware. All features will be Kept only use Less apps will be lost but most of apps will be flashed to /data so i dont have to remove so much

What do you think about making max-debloated version? Less samsung apps, more happier users.

So, to sum up - is there any bug you've noticed so far on your latest private test build?
