USB 3g dongle help required - Nexus 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I just got root access along with the PPP widget / stickmount. I have the orange dongle which is a huawei E173, when I plug it in using my otg cable the PPP widget just displays no drivers found. Also, I hear you have to put in APN info, which I have no idea where to find. Can anyone help with this or is it not possible at all with this dongle?
Thanks

Quite an interesting idea, AD, however to use the HD as a usb wifi adapter to connect your PC to a wireless router may not possible since it would require drivers and software for the PC to recognize it as such. Nonetheless, quite an interesting thought. Cheers.

[Q] 3G on Nexus 7 Wifi Only

Just a question which I hope someone can answer for me.
Is it possible to use a 3G USB Dongle on the Nexus 7 Wifi only to have a working Internet connection when there is no possibility to use Wifi? I have a Vodafone USB 3G Dongle which works perfectly on my Iconia W700 tablet, but I would love to have it on the Nexus 7 as well. Has someone made this possible?
Check this thread, seems to be an updated list of working modems.

Yes, try it using PPP Widget, available for free in Play Store, and a USB OTG adapter (I use the smallest one, the type without cable).

Mac connection Android Filetransfer

For some reason I can't connect to my Mac using the filetransfer app. This is a new development, as I have connected many times in the past. I can connect using ADB and Fastboot through the USB connection, the convenience of the utility is really nice. Any one have any thoughts?

If anyone else has trouble the problem might have been caused by a bad cable. A bad cable was causing charging issues for me, so I've got a new cable and will check it soon to see if that fixes the file transfer issue.
Cable made all the difference.

USB question

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a way to hook my nexus 4 up to my CD deck in my car via usb and have it work is this possible ?

I'm afraid it won't work. The N4 only has MTP and PTP modes and a usual car radio can't handle those protocols. It would have been possible using mass storage mode, but unfortunately it doesn't support it

Issues Connecting to Mac
