Chrome automatically plays youtube clips inside of chrome itself.
Is there a way to open youtube links in youtube?
The "clear defaults" is greyed out under Chrome and YouTube so I guess this is the way it works out of the box.

is there a way to open the youtube link not inside browser web (Opera10) but with youtube player?
Hi,
I am not able to play the videos in official facebook app in main screen. I never had this issue in my htc desire. Youtube videos are being played in browser and for other videos it opens the video player but i get unsupported format error. If i open videos from main screen after clicking the thumbnail at bottom then everything is fine. i get YouTube app option for YouTube videos as well and other videos are also played in player.
Am I missing any settings in S2?
Any Help guys...
Before, in my other android devices, if I clicked on an embedded YouTube video, I was given the option of viewing the video in the YouTube app, or if i clicked on the text that says "YouTube" at the bottom right corner of the video.
I see that I cannot do that anymore with chrome on the N7. Even trying to copy the URL for the YouTube video has become problematic; I just want to view the video in the YouTube app. Any tips/solutions?

Try clearing the Cache/Data for the YouTube app.
If that doesn't work try :
Settings > Applications > Manage applications and then press the “All” tab. Choose the application that you previously selected as default, and scroll to the section “Launch by default” and press the “Clear defaults” button.

It's not launching another app; it's only allowing me to play YouTube videos as embedded on a webpage as there seems to be no option to play it in the YouTube app. For example:

Since yesterday, I noticed something strange on my note 3 - I can't seem to play 2 videos simultaneously. I tried 2 browser windows, 1 browser window and YouTube, and each time it switches between the video windiws. Is there a setting to enable multiple videos to play simultaneously?
Anyone?
Diceplayer and Youtube.com in Chrome play at the same time.
Diceplayer and Youtube app play at the same time.
Dolphin and Youtube app play at the same time.
All three tested in Multiwindow.
Youtube in a penwindow and Dolphin browser with youtube.com in the main view works. Minimizing the pen window stops the playback.
Chrome with Youtube.com in a penwindow and Youtube app in the main view works. Minimizing penwindow does not stop playback.
The Youtube app does not support background playback. (It's an iOS port, which is infinitely ironic since Google owns both Youtube and Android.)
In Multiwindow both apps are running in the foreground, but if you open two apps normally, only one is in the foreground. In Pen window both apps run in the foreground, unless you minimize the penwindow.
VLC has a Play Videos In Background setting. So does Diceplayer. (Which I did not have enabled during the test in Multiwindow)Those two could play two local videos simultaneously, as well.
On my nexus 5, when I play a streaming video in Chrome, it will prompt me to select from apps that I can launch the video in. I like this so I can play it in a dedicated video app instead of through the browser which usually lags.
I'm not able to do this anymore, any suggestions? All videos just plays through chrome. Thanks!
