[Q] Vegacream + USB to RJ45 - Vega General

Hi guys,
I flashed the latest (well the latest I could find) Vegacream to my tablet last night and its working great, but, I was wondering if there is any way to add support for a USB to RJ45 Ethernet adaptor to the system. Am hoping to be able to use this to program remote routers in locations where I do not have WiFi or the space to balance a notebook.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] Networking via USB

Hi all,
I'm wondering if the USB port of TF101 would work with any form of networking device ? I'm referring to devices like RJ45 to USB or 3G USB modem or even P2P USB cables... Anyone had tried and came back with any form of success ?

[Q] USB Ethernet?

Just wondering, since my Thinkpad Tablet has that handy USB port, can I plug in a USB ethernet adapter? Would be very handy for configuring network hardware and the like.
Thanks
Try it. I'd be eager to see what you come up with!
Me too.

It might work, but you need the correct USB to RJ45 Ethernet adapter for Android devices.
Funny, I was wondering the same thing yesterday. Love to know outcome.

Hello,
i bought in Germany an Medion Lifetab P9516, its a Lenovo Ideapad K1.
This week we got the update of ICS and so i have ethernet with a d-link usb-ethernet adapter.
The adapter is a DUB-E100 adapter and i get the ip-address dynamicly.
I can see the ip with ifconfig and the route with ip route, but i cant change the ip because the device is not rooted.
Is here anyone who rooted his device with ICS and can give a little advice?
Thanks a lot
Wolfgang
P.S. Please apologies my bad english.

What I use and is really sweet is a Bluetooth to serial adapter. They are a little high in price though compared to a USB Network adapter.
There are multiple companies that make them but this has been my favorite one so far - http://www.g2microsystems.com/products/RN_270
I use it with a free app called blueterm and can config anything with a console/serial cable from my phone or tablet.

Bluetooth Slows Down Internet Connectivity?

Hello all,
My Fire HD 10 is my main device and so I use it alot.
Recently, I connected my DUALSHOCK4 controller to it via Bluetooth, and the Internet down/upload speeds went horrendosly slow. But when I disconnected, the speeds went back to 40/25mb/s respectively. Anyone know a workaround? Oh, and I am aware of OTG. We have an OTG cable, somewhere.
Hi,
Sounds like you have a 2.4GHz Wireless Access Point, Unfortunately Bluetooth also uses the very same 2.4GHz therefore interfering with each other. Some wireless access points have a co-exist with bluetooth function but to be honest you would be better off either getting a 5GHz Wireless Access Point or using the OTG cable (if it is compatible with your controller).
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the answer,
found a cheap 80p (about 95cent) OTG cable & ordered it, the DUALSHOCK4 works via OTG so all should be fine.

connect Android with LAN - ethernet driver download

Hi,
I have a problem with connecting my Android device (Samsung Galaxy A5 SM-A510F (2016)) via a ethernet adapter and a OTG cable with LAN.
I bought an ethernet adapter and an OTG cable on ebay.
I rooted my Galaxy A5 successfully.
I downloaded the apps "BusyBox" and "Ethernet" (the app "Ethernet" should enable all settings needed to get USB ethernet). This app does not come with any drivers!
I also tried to connect my device using an active USB hub.
However, you obviously need the ethernet driver on the smartphone (which is not yet installed on Galaxy A5).
Does anybody know how I can get this driver?
Or does something else cause the problem?
Are there some better apps for connecting a device to LAN? (for example one which already comes with ethernet drivers)
Thanks for your efforts!
Best regards,
Simon

Galaxy A40 Ethernet Tethering

Hi guys, I have an old Galaxy A40 and I like to share its wi-fi conecction ovet ethernet. I tried with an USB type-c Hub but I can't turn on the USB tethering option and the ethernet option in the menĂ¹ is only for input connection. It's a problem with some missing drivers or I need an ethernet-USBC adapter? (I use the HUB with my new OnePlus and it's ok but on OnePlus I have the Ethernet Tethering option that missing in the A40)
I'd like to share the connection with a router and I can't use USB ports because the router doesn't allow me to use a smartphone as input.
Hope someone can help me. Thanks.
