me too experienced these problems after flashing merrukks and white's kernel. I was not able to flash any kernel through whites or Merruk's fixed cwms. We had to go back to stock kernel through Odin, then only we can flash other kernel.

have you fixed your wifi in white xp?
because the same problem goes for me, im on hyperion 7.x.
flashed whitexp kernel : check
check wifi: fail
flashed wifi driver: check
check wifi again: failed again
its like nothing happened, i tried mounting system, etc.
Maybe i will wait for final update which the wifi driver integrated with the kernel...

maybe its because of merruks ext 4 converter?
Mee to, but after try any methode, if you fail using update package with cwm try this.
Before you must check at mount (system, data, cache, sdcard)
Then, go to advance choose (fix permission) in some case it will take short or long time, 30 second or more
After all, choose apply update from sdcard
Finish instal flashable zip Then reboot now.
If you fail again, before finish instal flashable zip, dont reboot, but go to advance and choose reboot recovery, then choose apply update from sdcard, not using blabla again
Thats my experience...

To flash stock kernels boot.img over whites kernel i prefer sgybicwm.zip and it works.
Thanks guys i finally install whitexp kernel thru odin and manually put the wifi driver to system and now its working...

i think you must flash to the newest firmware and then you flash the cusrom
Follow the instructions correctly. That's what you should do. Can you describe step by step what you are doing so that I can debug?
Also, general section is intended for discussions. Post in q & a section or faq thread for queries.
same problem here. i try dxlf1 ddle1 but still stuck on boot (the samsung galaxy y logo not the samsung one) can any1 help? by the way i follow the instruction completely it still stuck. tried to reflash again. but still the same.
EDIT: is rooting required before flashing this rom? bcoz when i try to flash it without rooting it was successful. by the way i used dxlc1.
Now I was on repencis 3.5 I just flash the ddkj firmware vai Odin and then its successfully installed but thanks you guys

does this work even if on custom kernel? i tried restoring before after i had bootloop using merruk's kernel..but the same thing happens.
we dont have any method to backup/restore kernel. savies cwm works fine but merruks sometimes failed to flash a zip file. if you have problem with merruk, the only way to revive your system is via odin.

I use cwm too it's difficult but you need to download the stock firmware and you need to connect your mobile to your computer (download mode) it will recognize your divide find the files.from the firmware maps and click start and you have your stock rom back

good night
Man I installed this rom but gave infinite boot. And I would like to know why.
1: I installed this rom but was with the Repencis rom 3.5 advanced.
2: So I can install this rom creed I need to pass a stock rom and then install only the creed?
Sent from my GT-S5360 using Tapatalk 2
Maybe its not really necessary to revert back to stock rom. Try wiping cache and data. If it doesnot work you must install stock rom.

Hi i'm new to xda. Sorry if this posted at the wrong section. If so, can anyone tell how to move it to the correct section
Anyways back on topic. BTW my phone is the gt-p1000n(latin version), android 2.3.3 stock. I tried installing CM9 by following a guide from cyanogenmod's guide to flashing cm9 for the galaxy tab (sorry unable to post link) . Everything went smoothly until it rebooted after flashing the kernel with cwm, it got stuck at the boot screen. I decided to hold the power button until it turned off. So i tried going to CWM and it worked but i seem to be unable to install the CM9 zip. It said something about status 7 error when installing it .
Can anyone be willing to tell me what i did wrong with the procedures. Thanks for your help btw. And sorry for my bad English, it isn't my native language.

Tried it but it didn't work . Still got the error status 7
You need to install overcome rom as well.
I know it is incompatible because the touch screen driver is different,
But only need that so that cm9 installer thinks you are P1000.
So flash
- overcome kernel
- overcome rom
- cm9 for p1n
- gapps
You can skip installing overcome rom by editing the updater script too and remove the assert line at the top and zip it back.
Only if you know what you are doing.

Maybe you must update the ClockWorkMod Recovery to 5.5.x.x version.
To Anyone if you can't find the Overcome kernel.
I've uploaded the Overcome kernel for you
Good luck from Thailand

What error is status 6 exactly
Seeing so many problems, I think you should restock.
Do you have stock rom?
If not, I still believe you can use overcome method.
Don't worry about the touch driver not compatible. You will be mostly on Odin and on recovery.
You just want to use the gb stock safe to restock with pit selected and repartition.
Then quickly flash overcome kernel and then boot to recovery and flash cm9.

Just to be sure, the cm9 download link for the gt-p1000n is at 'get.cm/?device=p1n' right?
yes that is for P1000N
Not sure why, but for some odd reason Odin can't detect my tab when it's on download mode
No device added in the message box or no model number. If no model number it is normal.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
Odin didn't want to recognize mine either, but if you plug the tab, and close and open Odin, it should detect the com port.
I had a similar problem in the end i installed a rom i downloaded from Humberos's website, jus google Humberos and its the first link, there are the download links at like his 4th post. Good luck

Its because of what you did to the USB driver to use Heimdall, read the readme on Heimdall Folder, there is the way to revert the change...

this is probably because of your kernel..
