Hi,
Recently my defy goes weird with the latest CM9, it stay on the CM boot logo. I appears that my data partition was unclean.
So I decide to make an nandroid backup and to re-install CM9. Everythings goes right until I try to recover my sms database : I picked up the mmssms.db from my backup and put it on my new data partition, but I can't launch the sms app without an abord message.
Is my mmssms.db can be corrupt ? And can I fix it ? I really need to access it again!
Please ask all questions in Q&A. Thread moved there.

Hi sorry if this has been asked here before - didn't have much luck finding any answers with search.
I've rooted and installed custom ROMs on my S4 and my wife's S3, but we both have trouble with the wrong language loading after a battery-swap or similar power outage.
Can you advise on the easiest way to make English 'stick'?
Thanks!
That sound really strange, i would make a backup of all my apps(Titanium backup or another backup tool)
also i would backup sms/call logs (i use sms backup+ wich syncs my messages to my gmail account)
then i would do an factory reset or flash a new customrom.
(note: in cwm recovery the factory reset might wipe your internal sdcard, i would advice to backup the files you dont want to lose)
Hope this helps mate
Hi all. I downgraded from Android 5.0 (the version listed in the title) to 4.4.2 KitKat. Before I did that, I backed up my apps and data via Titanium Backup (since I was rooted). I have now downgraded, rooted again and Titanium Backup cannot find the folder of my backed up files. Please help, I desperately need my data back and fear that it is lost If it is of any help, I did not have an SD card.
Best regards,
Nate
Edit: Thought it would be wise to state that I didn't move the Titanium Backup folder off of the phone when I had to wipe the data after the downgrade...
You wiped it its that simple and now gone forever .
Sorry.... I don't think you can recover your data if it was on internal memory....
Thanks for the help. I realised that the data is in fact gone. Tried to use DiskDigger but it only found some zip files which I can't seem to do anything with.
So the phone was going crazy with frequent FCs so I decided to wipe it clean and install a new Resurrection Remix ROM.
Did a nandroid with TWRP 2.8.x.x before wiping and now I have trouble restoring in the new ROM using titanium backup from the play store, patched with lucky patcher. In TB, I can get to the app selection screen and when the loading bar appears, it never gets past 0%. But it just magically says restore completed after some time. None of the app I chose ever gets restored.
So now I'm trying to extract the apps and data on a PC, and copying them into the phone manually. Question is, how do I get my hands on the files in the nandroid?
Buy TB Pro instead of patching .
No questions in this forum by the way .
As stated, try buying instead of using Warez!!!!
