[Q] Can someone post the 4.1.2 version of gmail apk? - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I updated to the unofficial 4.2 gmail apk, uninstalled and tried restoring original version back via Titanium so I could use market to update today. The phone froze, and Titanium stopped showing my backup. Now I don't have gmail. I tried going to Market and downloading gmail, but it says software cannot install because it is not a compatible update. Ideas? Or should I just side-load it and reattach to market? I'm worried about future OTA updates etc.

can i reflash 2.3.3 over itself?

Can I use clockworkmod recovery to reflash the 2 part pre rooted ginger 2.3.3 over itself?
I installed it and then used ti backup to make a backup of android market. Then I uninstalled android market thinking that I could restore it from ti backup. Not the case. Now I am stuck with a halfway functioning, older version android market app I found online.
I'm thinking the best way to go about getting things back to "normal" would be to just reflash 2.2.3, however if someone can tell me how to reinstall anrdoid market to fully function again that would be nicer.
Yes you need to reflash. It can be done by the update.zip method. There is also the 4.6.8 update available as a zip file now.
Dont try to tinker with google apps. Most of the time you cannot undo what you did
where can I get the ota zip file? thanks!
I have a somewhat similar problem. Before the OTA update went out, I was running a rooted 2.2.1 with TI. I had removed a few apps that I didn't like, but nothing specifically a "Google App" (unless the "Emergency Alerts" app counts as one of those).
Well, today the update became available for my device and when I went to download and update, it simply restarted my device and said "Update has failed."
Now, when I go into TI, I'm unable to reinstall the Emergency Alerts or even see that it's one of my backed up applications that was removed.
Ideas?

Anyone else Android market WORKING unrooted after update 6.2?

Well, I got the update 6.2, it gave me force close errors on youtube and gmail.
However, I can still use the official Android market and re-downloaded both apps and installed them using android market and both work fine again.
I did not re-root, so how come my market is still working and not others?
I can use Amazon videos, all the "bloatware" I erased is back as well.
I installed gmail and framework via .apk without rooting myself previous to 6.2 and it still works post 6.2
I have installed nothing else but dropbox that wasn't on amazon.
I have not rooted.
Weird. For me gmail stopped working, but the android market works fine after update that unrooted me.
Everything still works
Dont know how, because its supposed to unroot, but i still have root...

I was rooted when i received the update. After update it showed me as unrooted, i click android market and it is still working.
Amazon videos working, had to re-install gmail and youtube to get them working.
I left it unrooted now since everything is working.
Application stopped unexpectedly
I am getting the same thing. I have not updated anything. I have deleted and reinstalled the market app. I have not bothered re rooting. Let me know if anyone come up with a solution.
Maybe there is a differnt apk for the market that will solve this?

[Q] Anyone else still have their google apps after update to 6.2.1?

Last night, I received my KF and immediately rooted/installed Google apps, go launcher, etc using the Kindle Fire Utility.
As soon as it finished installing everything, my KF restarted and when it booted back up, it immediately started updating to 6.2.1 before I could try out methods to block the OTA update.
When my KF booted back up, I found that I still had access to all the apps that I installed before the update.
Did anyone else still have access to these after the OTA update?
I have sideloaded all of the google apps that do not require root (news, maps, music, gmail, etc) and have not had any issues at all.
I am waiting until the huge influx of Christmas devices is complete and a more stable development stream begins before making any big changes to my device. Too many novices (both developers and users) right now.
I still have my google apps and the google framework running after the update. Android market appears to still work too. It didn't at first but then I tried restoring root with root Keeper and it started working again. Didn't get back root access though, obviously.
Mine just updated right now, I didn't loose any app, I still have google market working fine, just tried installing something from there and it went normally, go launcher is also working fine, pf course I lost root, I hope a fix for this comes soon.
By the way the update happened just after I de-registered my kindle so that won't stop the update.
Google Currents was deleted by the 6.2.1 update and will not reinstall.

Same here, that was the only Google app that I lost though! Voice, Gmail, Market, Calendar, Music, Google+, YouTube and Reader all still work and sync, thankfully! )

Restoring System Apps without root.

Okay I ran into a weird problem which I can't fix on my own, so I hope you guys can help me there.
I own a Stock non rooted SM-N910F 5.1.1!
Now to the problem, the last Facebook update bugged the app somehow for me. (Forceclose on startup) So I deleted the last updates through the app manager and tried to reinstall the updates through the market. Got a strange 505 error. Now the strange stuff happened. The Facebook app wasn't to be seen anywere else in the app drawer, as if the botched reinstall deleted the system app.
The market says I don't have FB installed and when I try I get the same 505 error.
I downloaded the facebook apk from a mirror and installed it via ADB so I can get a more detailed error message. I got the: INSTALL_FAILED_CONFLICTING_PROVIDER as far as I know this means some leftovers of the system app are still installed which prevents the new install?
So what to do? I really can't root because of work policies.
Is there a way to flash the original firmware with Odin without loosing my data or tripping knox? (Like with the Nexus Toolkit for Nexus devices?)

Google chrome forced update w/o permission

I am on a rooted galaxy tab 4, t330, wifi only model running android 4.4.2 stock rom. I had this a while now and just the other day chrome has been updating all on its own despite my every attempt to stop this. I have done the following.
Ensured that any option to auto update was de-selected.
Cleared data and cache of all google related app. (i.e. play store, download manager ect.)
Used titanium backup to restore back to previous version and detached from play store.
None of this has helped and I am forced to keep getting an update I don't want. Seems almost like a virus as it does this in the background without any input or warning. Also when I do catch it updating and click on it it will not let me cancel the download from play store.
Anyways. Now I'm here. Asking for help to stop this. Is there a file that can be modified or folder that can be deleted. Any input is greatly appreciated!
Flash a cyanogenmod rom without flashing Gapps. Why are you so adamant chrome not update itself??
