When I was using Android touch digitizer stoped working. It's not a software problem, because i flashed 2 other Android ROMs and stock WM6.5 and it doesn't work.
It's due to the power button
It's a known issue on the hd2 hardware

check this recent thread of mine:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024575
it's a design flaw in the hd2 that's starting to catch a lot of users. I'm hoping to develop an easy guide in english to replacing the touchscreen in that thread.

litterally out of the blue about 2 days ago, the 4 capacitive buttons on the front simply do not respond to touch...
and EVERYTHING else is working fine, keyboard, display, trackpad, everything else is working w/o a problem...
the lights behind the buttons come on, but no response when pressed...
its currently running Unity 1.27 (since released)
ive tried the patch via CWM to remap the keys to no avail... i am going to try and get into titanium to run a backup of apps, then wipe and flash version 1.31 of unity hoping its a software issue...
the closest thing i found to my issue (DZ related) was an issue with the light sensor causing the backlght to act up, but that isnt whats going on here, so as of now im at a total loss...
any help or direction would be greatly appreciated...
Ok, I wiped, flashed and installed 1.31 and same thing... Crap it has to be HW related then...
Ideas?

If you are sure its hardware related, then try to unroot your phone and see if you can get a replacement from your carrier.

You need to buy them and replace them. They come as a set with microphone and vibrator attached. Very cheap on ebay. Middle plate has to be separated from glass to get to them.

only reason im leaning towards HW is because i already reflashed, and wiped the phone, and they still dont respond...
only problem is,im in FL-USA, and this came from canada... lol
buttons can be bought on ebay huh?
EDIT: would this be what im looking for?

Hi everyone just bought a htc hd2 european version with nexus one nand rom and i am having issues with light and proximity sensors, they just don't work the phone doesn't turn off in call and the auto backlight is not adjusting . Any ideeas where thw problem could be?

I'm guessing, the ROM? Maybe you should try a different one, maybe one based on a HTC handset such as the Desire.
Could you add a link to rom ? i will try that.
Ok something strange happend last night i downloaded a gps test tool and afterwords my light sensor started working adjusting backlight and powering on hard buttons light but proximity doesen't work
There are many on the XDA forum - check under HD2>Android>nand, I can't recommend any nand versions because I have no experience with them. I've been using SD versions through Windows Mobile 6.5 - my default. In all honesty I don't know how nand works but if you still have WM6.5 then I'd say use the SD method to find a good build, it appears to be the safest.
If a different Android build doesn't fix your issue then by process of elimination, I'd guess it's a hardware issue.

Its 1yr old now, and though I don't know how I managed it, those green patches are laced with a few hairline cracks. The outside is undamged and has had a screen protector fitted from day one. What i'm trying to assertain is what do I need to fix to fix it? A screen...a touchpad ...or both ????
Not to sure mate.
A similiar thing happened with my old phone. I never dropped it or treated or rough etc, and it got heavy pixel damage too

Last night my mic randomly stopped working. There is nothign that could have caused this. I haven't dropped my phone or done anything. But all the symptoms point me to a hardware related problem. WHAT SHOULD I DO?!
Replace it

Or replace the single part
my screen bottom and right side are not touchable as the attachment, bottom and right out of the blue line are not touchable. I'm not sure about the bottom area, but the right side surely became untouchable after I flashed a CM 10 rom, so I guess this is a software problem. yet reset and flash new ROM doesn't fix it. Is there anything i can try to fix it? much appreciate!
Never heard this kind of a software problem. I don't think it's a rom issue. May be your touch screen broken.
That looks like a sense ROM to me. Maybe your screen is messed like conzzy said

I'm having the same issue. Started when using a sense ROM, but the problem has persisted with a couple of CM ROMS as well, so figuring it's a hardware issue...

I think we have the same thing, and it is the reason i think it's a software problem that the issue came after flashing a ROM. But everyone believe it's a hardware issue, haha. Probably it's time to change a new phone.
I have the same problem too. The bottom part of the screen doesnt respond in some apps but responds in others. And its not like say it responds in whatsapp today it wont respond for whatsapp next time. If it doesnt respond for a certain app, thats it,it wont respond to that app again no matter what I tried. And I dont think its hardware related. Cause if it was, why would the area that doesnt respond for app A respond to app B. I dont really remember when it started but it started when I was using slimbean rom 4.2.
