hi,
im currently running 2.2
005_NORDIC_SIGN_SIGNED_UCAJRDNEMARAB1B80AA03A.0R_PDS03C_USAJRDNFRYORTNORD_P003_A001_HWp3_Service1FF.sbf
and i want to flash my carrier rom (for the wrorenty)
i've told (by anouther guide, who gave the link by the way..) to create a directory in the sd card clockworkmod/backups and there put 2 files
nandroid.md5
system.img
then in cmw, go to beckup and restore, advanced restore
but then i'm getting the massage
"couldn't open directory.
no files found."
what am i doing wrong?
One more folder had to be created in backups, in which you put the restore files. Also though I am not sure the folder name inside clockworkmod is backup not backups. Try out both

I downloaded the jboogie's deblur nandroid backup but now the problem is, i don't know how to restore it because when i get to clockword mod recovery, i have "backup and restore option" then i go to "restore" and it just says "File not found". the image files are in \sdcard\goapkrev\backup\2011-02-18.23.25.47
I also made a new directory because some people posted to hve the image files in that directory which is \sdcard\clockwordmod\backup\2011-02-18.23.25.47
But it still says "fill not found" also one thing, i don't have a nandroid option in clockwordmod recovery...only "backup and restore"...what should i do?
Have you solved your problem? I think the directory should be "clockworkmod".

Yup, that did work for me. I had the exact same problem. I didn't get to see the backup to restore.
Here what you should do. Delete the folder (Clockworkmod) in your memory card.
Restart the phone and go into custom recovery - restore/backup. Perform a backup.
Your phone will automatically generate a new folder Clockworkmod. After this you can just paste your jboogie's deblur nandroid backup in this folder and start your restoring the right way.

You sir, have saved my a$$, THANK YOU
Hi,
I'm trying to install XGin 4 onto my X8 because a few people on these forums advised me to.
The problem is when I try to install it I get an error saying ''No files found'' in Xrecovery.
This is only my second time to install a custom rom so I could be missing something very simple here but any help would be appreciated.
I downloaded the rom here:
http://shpitisme.blogspot.com/
I placed that in the root of my sd card
I booted into Xrecovery and wiped the cache
Then chose install custom zip from sd card
When I select ''XGin_4.0.zip'' I get the ''no files found'' error
Can anybody help please?
Xgin 4 is given as a restore ROM.
Extract the zip on your computer and you will find a folder there with 4 files inside.
Put that folder in SD > xrecovery > backup > *put folder here*
Then go to xrecovery, backup and restore, restore and select XGin 4
P.S. Make sure that the folder's name does NOT have spaces or you'll get errors.

Thank you very much!
good evening everyone
strate after the rom file I copy the folder to SD / ClockworkMod / backup
I open the recovery but get an error "incompatible MDL5"
What am I doing wrong?
someone I can spend more installation details?
I've been the last Rom Cyanogen ICS
Thanks
Try downloading the files again and try to restore with the freshly downloaded nandroid backup, perhaps some files just got messed up and corrupted along the way. And should it be md5 not mdl5? Maybe you could check the files on your pc and rename it

I recently flashed the stock android lollipop tgz file on my nexus 7. I rooted it, and then wanted to restore my nandroid backup. But, the backup does not appear in the recovery menu. I couldn't also copy the backup files to the tarp folder (no such folder existed, and when I tried making one using es file explorer or root explorer, it gave an error message.) How do I fix this problem. Please help guys I am sort of new to the forum[emoji16]
Same problem here. It does show up but it's a 0 bytes file last modified in 1970 (start of unixtime)
This is on my Nexus 4 though. Flashed manually with official images from Google and rooted with SuperSU.
- make sure you're using the latest twrp recovery for your device. get the latest img file for grouper (nexus 7) and mako (nexus 4) here: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2
- if you look around the forums, you'll find that people have had similar issues since lollipop. forget about trying to access twrp folder in android/es explorer for now (BTW droiderrr18 is probably getting the error when trying to create the folder because it's already there, just doesn't look like a folder and can't be opened, it looks like the 0 byte file looking thing LooieENG mentioned).
What you want to do instead is boot into twrp recovery and connect to your computer. you should be able to access your folders and files in MTP connection from Windows and move to your old backup that way. if not you can always use adb push command. the backup folder for twrp is storage/sdcard0/TWRP/BACKUPS
you can also do a new backup and find it, then move your old backup there to restore.
(side note: twrp also has its own file manager where you can see and if necessary manipulate your files, but be sure you know what your doing in there)

I have the same problem. I need to access its data.f2fs.winxxx files for restoring my backed up apps using Nandroid Manager, which cannot access the folder, even though the original folder (/data/media/0/TWRP) can be accessed from ROOT EXPLORER and TWRP recovery file system
Nandroid Manager looks for only /sdcard/TWRP directory i guess, thus is unable to get backup storage location. Changing the Storage location in Nandroid Manager also has no effect.
I need to restore my backup apps. Please help if u can!
Anyone can help me on this?

Hi,
You can try with Philz Recovery instead of CWMRecovery.
You can also try to open your backup file on PC to see if there is some files inside
