I've been the last Rom Cyanogen ICS

Try downloading the files again and try to restore with the freshly downloaded nandroid backup, perhaps some files just got messed up and corrupted along the way. And should it be md5 not mdl5? Maybe you could check the files on your pc and rename it

Hey Guys, so I tested out a few roms and went to do a nandroid restore and it keeps giving me
Checking MD5 sums...
MD5 mismatch!
All I did was rename the folders from dates to something like "Stock 2.1" and now it won't restore.
Any help? I have all my .img files, why can't I just push them to the system?
EDIT:
I got it fixed guys =D
I right clicked the folder and saw when the folder was created and renamed the folder from
"Stock 2.1 06-24" to the original time and date format "2010-06-24-12-04-39" (or whatever time it was)
Went back into nandroid and checking the md5 sums completed

never rename a file that's been md5'd. Create folders name as wished then put the files as wished. The hash is created from the file as a whole including the name. obviously for future reference only.
I do not know how to resolve your current problem.

Had this issue back on the nexus. Just run another backup, delete the files in the new folder and move whichever backup you want into it and it should work
I'm not sure how to recover your files. I'd think finding another nand backup of stock phone would be your best bet?

nandroid backups must be placed on sd card in /clockworkmod/backup/
also note that there must be a sub-directory within /clockworkmod/backup that contains the nandroid files
such as: /clockworkmod/backup/my_nandroid/ <--- your nandroid files go in here
thanks alot zyxwvut
No problem I hope you got it all sorted.
Ya know, without these threads I would've been stuck with an expensive paper-weight a long time ago. It's all about being a community and helping each other. Thats what we try to do here

I'm having an error too, try to do this but still get the error when trying to install the nandroid backup.
Here is what i did:
I place the zip file on sd card in /clockworkmod/backup/
also I unzip the file and place the files under: /clockworkmod/backup/my_nandroid
after trying to instal the zip i get this error: "E:Error in /system/bootmenu/script/recovery.sh
(Result: No such file or directory)"
I guess I'm either doing something wrong or the zip file is missing something!
im having the same here
cant run nandroid/flash rom/factor reset via cwm
I have CWM installed and have been able to flash roms in the past. But now, when ever i try to flash a rom, run a nandroid backup, or a factory reset… it just basically wipes out my user info. Goes back to stock with all of my applications still loaded so i get bazillion force closes. I have verified my nandroid and it is good… i just cant get cwm to load it. Any ideas? thx in advance!

Please ask all questions in the Q&A section. Thread moved there.
There is no better ROM
Actualy, we should try both CM7 and CM10 and choose what to use, I've chosen CM7 because I've had problem with 3G connection on CM10, it's slow and I cound't actvate wifi tether without doing a workaround.

P.S.
I Followed Every Step Correctly!
what kind of CWM are you using, is it temporary?
or do you have a custom kernel on your phone?
I'm Using Stock Kernel!

This Is What The Folder's Name Is.

let's go to the basics
first make sure to flash your back up based on the cwm used to back it up in the first place
second check if your back up is placed in the clockworkmod folder and has no spaces
if the above fails then flash the stock firmware of your back up then restore your back up
ex:
your back up was based on DXKL2, so to match the md5 flash DXKL2 and restore your back up
ps: worked for me
Try using Cwm by madteam..

can u open .md5 file n tell wats in it?
the most posible reason behind these problem is because the backup was not succes or there was problem with the sdcard. try to reformat your sdcard in your computer without using quick format option. after that try to make a backup and restore.
good way

Did u modified the downloaded zip file
I want to know that have you made any changes to the zip file.
Use 7zip and make zip file, select the 3 folders (in zoe rom) right click select 7zip add to archive select zip formate and creat zip now flash it with recovery.

try a different recovery version and follow the steps leoposas wrote in his thread
Did you flashed the downloaded file directly or did you opened the zip and deleted any stuff in that?

No, I didn't modify any files in it.
What is your recovery version

The "bad error" is probably an indicator of a corrupted zip archive. It maybe got corrupted during download, or during transferring to phone. For download try using different browser or a download manager. For transferring to phone make sure that coping is finished without any errors.
It's a problem with a microSD card
Are you able to install it now

hi,
im currently running 2.2
005_NORDIC_SIGN_SIGNED_UCAJRDNEMARAB1B80AA03A.0R_PDS03C_USAJRDNFRYORTNORD_P003_A001_HWp3_Service1FF.sbf
and i want to flash my carrier rom (for the wrorenty)
i've told (by anouther guide, who gave the link by the way..) to create a directory in the sd card clockworkmod/backups and there put 2 files
nandroid.md5
system.img
then in cmw, go to beckup and restore, advanced restore
but then i'm getting the massage
"couldn't open directory.
no files found."
what am i doing wrong?
One more folder had to be created in backups, in which you put the restore files. Also though I am not sure the folder name inside clockworkmod is backup not backups. Try out both
