What have you tried?
here are options:
- download from play store
- sideload apk
- manually copy apk file into /data/app (i doubt it would work tho)

A Crackle, Hulu+, Netflix and HBO Go tutorial?

I have a request. Can someone please guide me on how to make hulu+, Netflix, HBO go, and crackle work on the nook color? I can't even download them from the market; they don't appear. If I try to browse the market on PC, it says that they're incompatible on the nook. Please help me out. Or at least point me to the right direction.

You need to download the .apks online and then sideload them.

netflix works, you just have to get the latest, official apk from somewhere. Working right now on my Nook Color. I couldn't be happier with the device since I moved back to CM7 (nightly), and recalibrated the screen

Download to your phone/other working device
Copy the .apk from that device to your PC
Copy it from your PC to your Nook
Install on Nook
The easiest way to get a copy of the .apk is to use Titanium Backup to backup the app, which will put it right on your SD card.
EDIT: I should also note, if you have enough USB ports you can just mount the phone and the nook at the same time and copy the .apk directly [ex: Copy from I: to J:]. If you're low on USB ports you'll need to do the steps as listed above.
Crackle: http://mobileplanet-waryam.blogspot.com/2011/07/crackle-v238-238-android-apk-app.html
Hulu+ (need a + account for it to work...I think): http://rootzwiki.com/showthread.php?t=2526
Netflix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1177969
HBO: Don't use, but you probably need the IMEI gen or something...

youtubetablet.apk

I know marketplace has youtube for download. I'm looking for youtubetablet.Apo. anyone got this working on the kindle fire?
mediafire/?nntn457o10mba1e Try it. Put a WWW in the beginning and a dot com after mediafire.
What is the advantage to the tablet version? The phone version seems to format ok on the Fire's screen, and you can go full-screen with it.
I get problem parsing package.

Me too. I'm on stock 622 with root
Do I need to be rooted to install youtube? I get a parsing error with the tablet apk. I can download and install the regular youtube apk. But it immediately force closes when I launch it. Thanx.
Do you have Google Framework Services installed too? You don't need root for You Tube.

yeah i have gapps installed. so i have marketplace, gmail calendar, etc. the problem seems to be specifically with the tablet apk. if i recall correctly there is also an odex file that might need modifying as this particular apk was from a xoom. right now i am running youtube from the marketplace just fine.
i just want to get the tablet apk working as it has a better optimized view for tablets

Help can't download

Hi everyone I'm new to nexus 7
I have unlocked BL and root installed cwm and i have just updated to SmoothROM-v3.2 via too.I'm but I have a problem that has occurred I can't download anything via any browser or even attachments via xda please can someone help
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
Same over here.I am running stock android (unlocked, rooted, cwm).
And i can't download anything from a custom app or browser (chrome doesn't work either)
But I've figured out that by changing the download directory to storage/sdcard0 you can download anything you want. But you can only do this with opera or dolphin browser. In my case I can't even delete my files (except for files located in storage/sdcard).I tried it with my computer but it didn't work either.I am also getting error message 492 in the play store.
I tried everything (delete (dalvik) cache, reset my system etc.) but it didn't helped.
I am also having a download issue. It seems like ever since I updated to Smooth Rom 7.8 via Goo Manager (might be coincidence) and now I can't download from Goo (I get "errored download") and when I try to download from a browser it says "unable to download". I can download apps via Play Store w/ no issue. I think it may have to do w/ permissions? or path issues? Also I restored back to when everything was working and now the issue follows. Anyone?
I also flashed smooth ROM.But now i'm on stock again and it didn't helped.I also noticed that i only can't download huge apps propabally because they need to save data on your sdcard.(with small apps like angry birds i have no problems). So it definetldy has to do something with permissions and path issues. But i have no idea how to fix that.Any ideas?

If you're on PA, remove Halo from your screen first then try it (at least that's the solution that seemed to work for a lot of people).

[Q] Don't get any apps from Google Playstore

Hi!
I have a Nook Color which was Modded with CM7 (on internal memory) when i bought it here in Germany. Everything was fine until all of a sudden downloads from google playstore did'nt work anymore. I tried to live with that because i used the nook mainly for watching films and got most of the apps i was interested in already.
Now i decided to get rid of this problem. I wrote back the B&N Stock Image to the internal memory to get rid of the CM7. Everything went fine and B&N Stock was running well and i registered. After that i installed a bootable linux together with CM10.1 and Google Playstore inside Zip Archive on my 32GB SD Card.
The device booted 2 or 3 times and there it was - the new CM10.1 Stable (Android 4.22)
I gave him all informations about my google account and everything went good.
But i still don't get anything out of the Playstore. The Device was supposed to re-load all previous installed apps, schould synchronize and i tried to get a new (free) app.
It just says downloading and after a while it just says error downloading xxxxxx.
Wifi Access is running good an i have no probs downloading other stuff.
What can possibly be wrong?

Those are the correct files.
Since you have this problem on both CM7 on emmc and CM10.1 on SD it sounds like a Play Store issue.
Let me describe how Play Store works and maybe you can diagnose the problem yourself. Play Store, after you log in and select an app to install, downloads the apk file and temporarily stores it on your device until it gets installed. On older versions of Play Store it downloads the file to /cache/download. On newer versions it downloads it somewhere else. I think either in /sdcard/Android or /data/data. But in any case I think Play Store is having difficulty storing the apk wherever it usually is stored.
Edit: The downloaded apk gets put in /data/data/com.android.providers.downloads/cache as downloadfile.apk
You might check to see if you have that file location.

No, not on sdcard. On /data. (Using your root file manager on the device itself, not from the PC).

Ahhh - i see.
This location does exist on the device - but there is nothing in there. (we knew in advance...)
the rights are: drwxrwx--x
I guess that's how it should be.
Any suggestions?

on the SD card (were the android system is located and also the subdir) there is 26,64 GB free.
btw: I read that hangout (ex google talk) must be installed to be able to download anything from playstore.
so they suggest if you cannot install any apps from the playstore the solution ist to install the hangout - app. But how can i install the hangout-app when i'm not able to install any app? :silly:
So i searched and found it for direct download - installed - fine !
I started it and it says that it will run only if i update google play service - which also cannot be installed because.... wtf...

edit:

tried to start hangout again - still needs ti update play services ..... which doesnt work of cause......
